IPhoto is re-syncing every time.

Hello Folks,
Every time I sync in iTunes, All iphotos (photos) are re-syncing every time.
Also in my iPhoto folder the *iPod Photo Cache* always starts a new Cache.
Specs:
Fifth Generation iPod (iPod with video)
Mac OSX 10.5.1 and 10.4.11
iTunes 7.6 (29)
Any ideas?

Wifi Sync - Songs already on iPhone sync every time?

Has anyone else noticed the same songs syncing every time you sync something new to your phone?
Even when I drop new movies to my phone I see 16 items sync (or attempt to sync) every single time. I've noticed what songs they are and they are ON my phone already seemingly with no errors and still remain in my itunes on my computer as well.
Anyone know why my iphone keeps re syncing them?

I was having the same problem as of today. Here's what worked for me:
Connect you iPhone to your computer with the USB cable. Let it sync.
Uncheck the box in the Summary tab that says "Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi". Click "Apply"
Check the box you just unchecked. Click "Apply"
Disconnect you iPhone from your computer. It should still be showing in iTunes.
If you want to test it connect your iPhone to another power source with the USB cable and go to Settings>General>Wi-Fi Sync on you phone and tap Sync now. It should sync.

Some possibilities:
Right click on the iPhoto icon in the Dock. Is Open at Log In Selected?
Check your System Preferences -> Accounts -> Log In Items
Is there a camera or anything that your Mac might think is a camera (flash drive, USB Hard Disk formatted to a FAT format, phone) attached to your Mac. If so, disconnect it. If you don't want to disconnect it, set iPhoto to "Do Nothing" when a camera is attached. You do this in the iPhoto Preferences.

Turning off auto sync is probably the first thing you should do before you start to experiment. Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices>click on the box at the bottom that says - Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from automatically syncing. Then click OK and quit iTunes
If your Comcast address book is in an address book on your computer - you can select it to sync in the Info Tab in iTunes - under the heading - Sync Address Book Contacts.
You should make sure that the movie is in the correct format before you add it to iTunes or before you drag and drop. You can add the movie to iTunes via File>Add to library and if necessary click on the movie in the library and go to Advanced>Create iPad or Apple TV versions. I believe that you can drag and drop if you manage content manually.

By doing stuff.
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

Check your sync settings on the Music and other tabs. Personally I untick the box that says "Open iTunes when this iPod is connected" and under Edit > Preferences > Devices I tick the box that says "Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically". This means that I get to choose and, if necessary, edit the content selections and then start the sync only when I'm ready.

ITunes not adding / deleting in with iOS7: do I have to click Sync every time?

I have an iPhone 4s with iOS 7.0.4 (11B554a) and iTunes 11.1.3.8.
I am running into problems when I drag music or audiobooks from my iTunes library to my iPhone.
1. I originally dragged an audibook to my phone and it stayed "greyed out" in iTunes. The circle next to the file that indicates how much of it has downloaded to the phone did not change. This was resolved by clicking "Done" and then "Sync" in iTunes. I do not want to have to do this every time I add a file.
2. I deleted multiple audiobooks in iTunes. They no longer appear in iTunes, but they do appear on the phone. Again, the problem was resolved by clicking on Sync in iTunes.
Ultimately, I do not want to have to click Sync every single time I manage the music on my phone. It takes substantially longer than it did with iOS6.
Is there any way around this?

It's not designed to work like this. When you sync, the iPod stores some information that basically says 'this iPod belongs to computer xyz'. Apple did this to prevent copyright issues (syncing someone else's music).
If you really want to do this, you'll have to at least tie both iTunes installations to the same account. Maybe have them sync with each other.

Apple TV Completely Re-syncing Every Time I restart iTunes

After the last patch to iTunes (via Software Update), every time that I stop and start iTunes it does a full wipe of the Apple TV's hard drive and a full re-sync. Which takes almost an hour since I have over 3,000 songs.
Any ideas what might be causing this new "feature"? It's REALLY annoying!

IPhoto 09/ SL Crashes every time I change number of months

I am creating a calendar and wanted to change number of months from 12 to , say 14. iPhoto crashes every time.
I have of course submitted crash reports.
Any workarounds apart from starting from scratch?

One thing to always try is renewing the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and delete the preference file -- "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist -- restart your system and launch iPhoto - reset any user preferences you have changed and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it

When i click the edit tool on iPhoto, iDVD opens up every time. Now i am not able to use my edit tool. Why is this happening?

I cannot edit any of my photos in iPhoto. When I click the edit tool on iPhoto, iDVD opens up every single time in my iMac toolbar. I cannot edit, crop or make changes to my photos. Is anything corrupt in my computer? Thanks in advance..

Check the Preferences settings in iPhoto. You may have set iDVD as external editor.
Set "Preferences > Advanced > Edit Photos" to "In iPhoto".

Every time I plug my phone through my computer it sync's it. I takes a long time for my phone to sync with my computer. I was wondering why this was happening all the time and why does it take so long to sync?

Because that is the way Apple made it.
Whenever your phone is connected and iTunes is open it syncs.
If for whatever reason you do not want iTunes to open and synch with the iPhone, go into iTunes and turn that feature off.

Why does genius sync every time?

I have full updated iTunes on Windows, and iOS 6.1 on an iPhone4s, and iPad.
Every time I sync the Genius data is re-synced... all 6000+ songs. How do I stop this other than disabling Genius enirely?

I have the same issue.
Every sync with my iPad results in a final Genius data sync... I lived with it when it was 97 items (the same number every time), but today that number changed to 2,700+ items (and I have no idea what triggered that change)! I only have 3,800 items in my entire iTunes library, so that's the majority of it...
It took a couple of minutes longer to sync as a result. I turned off Genius in the Store menu as suggested, and it didn't sync that data the next time I synced. But I like and use the Genius feature.
Does this mean I'll have to lose it? There's no actual fix, just this workaround?
OS X 10.6.8 + iTunes 10.6.1... iPad v01 + iOS 5.1.1...
