IPhoto - is there a way to delete photos?

In creating a calendar in Iphoto, once I drop pictures into "My project" open up my calendar is there a way to delete the photo's?
Thanks
Arlene

Your question is not at all clear
iPhoto is a database and photosd exist onec in that=dtabse - placing them in an album or a calendar simply is a link to the photo in the database - so no additional space is used ad if you delete the photo fromn the database it is gone everywhere

The same way you put them there.  They sync process.
Deselect them in itunes and sync.

  • Is there a way to delete photos from Photo Stream on my macbook pro? (Not from my folders, etc.) I need to empty the photo stream. Something in my photo stream has corrupted my phone and my apple specialist suggested I do this.

Is there a way to delete the photos in Photo Stream on my mackbook pro notebook?
My phone became corrupted today and, after continuing to have problems with 2 new phones, the apple specialists determined that the only possible explanation was the presence of a corrupted photo or video in photo stream; and that the only way to use my phone without it shutting down was to deactivate the photo stream on it.  It worked, but I would like to be able to have the option of using photostream again. The apple folks suggested that I delete all photos from photo stream on my computer; and then, when it is "empty", reactivate it on my phone? Is anyone familiar with this problem?

If it says Not Enough Storage Space on iCloud then you can get more Storage space for iCloud if you want to backup more Data on iCloud Storage. You will find the Pricing for Additional Storage Space and how to Buy Storage Space for iCloud from your Device in the Link below.

  • Is there another way to delete photos from ipad 2, other than sync. i want to delete one or two photos every now and then.

when sync, you lose all photos.. and have to start over.   i am using picasa to get my photos.. i noticed when you take a pic from the ipad 2, you can delete
any photo you want.. i would think that it should be the same no matter how you put photos on the ipad... has any one found a solution to this..
I will keep try different ways..

You only lose photos when you sync, if you don't have the photos you want to keep on your iPad checked in Photos in iTunes.  And no, the only pictures you can delete directly from iPad are those you took with iPad.  All other pictures are managed through iTunes.

  • I need help!  I installed icloud on my computer, uploaded photos, my computer crashed and now my ipad runs slow b/c there are too many photos.  Is there a way to delete photos from my ipad (right now, I can click on the photos but not delete)?

What options do I have?  Will purchasing more storage help?  Can I change control from my PC to my ipad if I can't use my computer anymore?

You can import your photos and videos in the Camera Roll on your iPad to your work computer using you usb cable, then delete them from your iPad by following the directions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  If you also have photo stream photos that are not in your camera roll that you want to save, save them to your camera roll so they can be imported too.  To do this, open your My Photo Stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  After importing them you can delete them from your iPad if you want by tapping Edit again, tapping the photos, then tapping Delete.
Once they are on your work computer, you can transfer them to a USB memory stick if you cannot leave them there.
Any photos on your iPad that were synced from your computer can be salvaged by using an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your work computer over wifi.  (They can't be saved to the camera roll and imported with your usb cable like photos in the camera roll.)  Deleting these photos from your iPad will require using iTunes.  Once you have your own computer again and can install iTunes, you can delete these remaining photos by creating an empty folder on your computer, then selecting this folder to sync to your iPad on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.

  • Is there a way to delete a photo library from the phone?

Is there a way to delete photos from the photo library so I can have more space on my phone. I have already copied the pictures to my computer, but now I want to get rid of the pictures all together on my phone. Is it possible? Please help!!!!

Yes, you are able to remove a photo library in your albums. what you have to do is unsync the album from your phone in iTunes. Find your device in iTunes, then select the photos tab at the top of the page, uncheck the box that says sync photos, the click on apply at the bottom of the page, let it sync and then all that photo album will be removed off your phone.

  • Is there a way to delete duplicate photos in iPhoto? I have approx 10,000 duplicates?

Is there a way to delete duplicate photos in iPhoto without having to delete them individually?

The real question is how this happened - iPhoto is very good about avoiding duplicates and since you have a very large number it must be the result of a user error
Why do you think you have 10,000 duplicates? How many photos total do you have?  Just making a guess I suyspect that sometime you moved to a new system and imported your old library into the new library - Hint - NEVER import an iPhoto library into another Photo library - it does not work and creates a massive mess.  If you  did import an iPhoto library into your current library the best solution (assuming teh old library is still available) is to drag the bad library to the desktop (if you have space to continue it is best to delete it later after everything is done and tested) and Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc)  or use an external hard drive formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward.
Even if you eliminate "duplicates" - in the suggested case they are not duplicates but different versions and at best you lose all edits and non-destructive editig done and are starting with original photos - not really good

  • When I edit and/or delete photos from an album in iPhoto is there a way to make that what happens in the folder in finder?

When I edit and/or delete photos from an album in iPhoto is there a way to make that what happens in the folder in finder? I am new to Mac. I've updated the operating system and iPhoto.

If your iPhoto Advanced preference pane is setup like this
all photos you import into the library are COPIED into the library.  Thus those photos in the folders outside of iPhoto are redundant and can be deleted to save space on your hard drive. There no need to keep those copies in the folders.
If you do have your advance preferences set as shown above you can access your photos for use outside of iPhoto according to the following User Tip by Terence Devlin which is the best treatise on how to access photos (for use outside of iPhoto):  How to Access Files in iPhoto.  Otherwise you access your photos from within iPhoto.

  • Is there any way to recover photos you have deleted from iphoto trash?????

Is there any way to recover photos you have deleted from iphoto trash;ie  emptied trash..

Depends on the version of iPhoto - some details would help us help you
If you have iPhoto '11 then the photos go from the iPhoto trash to the system trash and you can recover them there and import backinto iPhoto
Otherwise you you are looking at data recovery software like file salvage http://subrosasoft.com/software/filesalvage or a data recovery service

  • Is there a way to delete duplicate photos on iPhoto?

Is there any way to delete duplicate pictures on iPhoto 09, 8.1.2 ?  Thanks

Yes.  You can use one of these apps:
    iPhoto Library Manager,
Duplicate Cleaner for iPhoto - free
    Duplicate Annihilator
iPhoto Applescript to Remove Duplicates - free
Personally I use iPhoto Library Manager as it offers other features that are very useful.

  • Is there any way to retrieve photos that were put in the trash can and then it was emptied?  Or is there a way to move photos from an imovie to iphoto?

Is there any way to retrieve photos that were put in the trash can and then it was emptied?  Or is there a way to move photos from an imovie to iphoto?

If you've emptied the trash, ehtn no. However if you have a backup, like Time Machine, or a recent backup copy of your photo library you could recover the photos from the trash.
The answer to getting a snapshot form iMovie depends on what version you have.
I should add it technically may be possible to recover the emptied trash, but if you really want to do that you would need to download a utility software that can attempt to recover deleted files. Do it soon before you start writing more data to that disk. At the moment I don't have a recommendation for such a program. Maybe someone else out there will offer suggestion.

  • When I import photos taken from my Ipod Touch 4 to My Mac Desktop, I click delete photos on ipod, but they do not delete. Is the only way to delete them individually (I have 1,400 photos!) or is there a way to delete them all in one go?

I realise you can you can delete them on your ipod slowly as you have to click on each one, and you can restore your ipod, but surely there is a way to get around this?
    Software: 4.3.2
    Build Version: 8H7
Thanks If anyone can help me.

Download/install an app is a know possible solution.
    3. Install another app from the App Store
If all user-installed apps are not launching, it could be an Apple ID authorization issue. Download and install an app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information.
Note: If you have installed apps using multiple Apple ID accounts, you may need to perform this step for each account.

  • Is there a way to restore photos from Drop box to my desktop iPhoto in a large batch instead of one at a time? I tried and a zip file was downloaded but won't open. Says file format not recognized.

Is there a way to restore photos from Drop box to my desktop iPhoto in a large batch instead of one at a time? I tried and a zip file was downloaded but won't open. Says file format not recognized. I see how to do it one at a time with the "download" button in Dropbox but that's so cumbersome for lots of photos.
