IPhoto/iTunes comes up with startupitems-I don't want this.
I've unchecked and deleted anything I don't want from my "startup items" from my "accounts" within my "system preferences" on my iMac. I've restarted my iMac multiple times. Each time iPhoto comes up automatically. This is a waste of time because I don't want it to come up. How do I keep it from coming up?
iTunes also comes up automatically although I have deleted it. I have successfully deleted other things like Skype but iPhoto and iTunes have persisted.
Any help is great appreciated. Thank you!

Open Image Capture and change the preference for what happens when a camera is connected. I assume what you have done is copy the image from a camera card to your computer somewhere, and it's being fooled into thinking a camera is connected.
If you have indeed deleted iTunes, then what you are describing is just not possible.

I have posted "submit" twice and keep getting requests to submit again. Now being asked to write a summary! Here we go. I have iPhoto 08 and am happy with it. Don't want to upgrade. But suddenly when I click on an event, instead of getting all the photos, I just get a large version of one photo and cannot move on to the others. The right arrow will not move it and the photo just jumps around.
Note the slider bottom right of the iPhoto Window. Drag it left.

How do I manually transfer music with the new itunes update for Windows? I don't want to sync my library and lose all of my music for what I have in my current library.
The same way it was done in every previous version.
Connect the device to the computer.
Right click on the device in iTunes and select Transfer Purchases.
Why would you lose any content by syncing with iTunes?

I have a new computer with windows 8.1. I want to add the 52 Gb of music now on my old ipod to itunes on the computer. I don't want to wipe out the files on the ipod by syncing to the new computer which has no music files on it yet! How can I do this?
Apparently I wasn't clear. The music on my ipod is but a subset of all the music on my external hard drives. I want to import only the songs and playlists from my existing ipod into the itunes library on my new computer, which currently has no music or playlists. How can I do this?

When I burn dvd in iPhoto, it comes out with original photo plus separate close up photos of each face in original photo. How do I get it to stop doing that?

The version of iTunes that comes with beta 2 cannot sync devices that have the beta 1 software installed. To avoid this problem, do the following:
Sync any devices that have beta 1 installed to the version of iTunes that came with beta 1.
Upgrade iTunes to the version that comes with beta 2.
Connect the device and install the beta 2 software. (Understand that you might see a failure to sync error when you first connect the device.)
After installing the beta 2 software, restore from your the backup you made in step 1. -

Brought iPod 4 for Daughter, she put on Passcode and she can't remember it, the ipod is saying "ipod is disabled" connect to itunes. Connented to iTunes come up with need to put passcode. The on/off button does not work, can't turn off and hold home button to reset please help.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Okay I use iPhoto 6 on an older mac and don't want to upgrade past 10.4.11. Can I upgrade iPhoto without the newer operating system? For the life of me I can't get iPhoto to recognize my camera reliably - although it does sometimes. Any advice, help?
The latest version of iPhoto which can operation with OS X 10.4.11 is iPhoto 7 which is part of iLife 08. You might be able to find a copy of iLIfe 08 on Amazon.com or Ebay.com.

How can I access my old iphoto libary on my newer laptop?
I have a new iphoto folder on my laptop so I don't want to lose my current photos. I just want to add more.Do the following:
rename the old library to something other that iPhoto Library.
copy the library to the Pictures folder on your new laptop.
launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and select the old library to open it and convert it to the newer version.
Note: if the older version of iPhoto was iPhoto 7 (08) or earlier you'll need to download and run the iPhoto Library Upgrader 1.1 on it before opening with iPhoto on your new laptop.
If you want to merge the two libraries into one library and keep the edited versions, keywords, titles, etc. you'll need to use the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager to do the merging. -
As I stated above, I purchased mmlp2 on iTunes but it didn't tell me that it was the censored version, I don't want this version and it's really annoying to listen to. Is there a way that I could exchange the clean version for the explicit one or even get my money back? Thanks
Explicit versions will have 'explicit' (or a red 'E') against them in the store, if it's not labelled then it will be clean.
