IPhoto keeps crashing when Trying to create a calendar

I'm trying to put together a 2011 calendar for family. Every time I click on Create, Calendar I get the "Loading" page and then it crashes. Have to force quit to get out and try again.
Any ideas??

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Backup the library and try the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in the User/Library/Application Support/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select options #1, #2 and #6.

I am trying to burn a cd of pictures (500 mb) and everytime I try to burn iPhoto crashes. It select the pictures, it recognizes the disc, the size is fine and then it crashes. I have a powerbook G4 with 1 gig RAM. I am using iPhoto 5

Upgraded to iPhoto 9.2.1 keeps crashing when trying to-.

upgraded to iPhoto 9.2.1 keeps crashing when trying to upgrade old iPhoto Library into 9.2.1. iPhoto will not work at all because it can't get past trying to upgrade my old libraries….any ideas?

SBS Console crashes when trying to create a report

Hi there,
My SBS2011 console keeps crashing when I'm trying to send a report. It also shows WSUS as unavailable. Here is the error report and the contents of the Console. log file.
Things I have tried so far:
1) Repairing the SBS Console using 2nd SBS2011 install disc from Add Remove programs
2) Rebuild the SBS DB's as instructed here
3) Made sure the Windows
3) Repair the SBS Monitoring database as instructed here

Indesign keeps crashing when trying to open a specific file

Please help!
I am running Indesign CS4 on snow leopard, and it keeps crashing when I try to open a specific file. I have browsed through similar discussions, but can't pinpoint the problem. It even crashes on recovery.

Hmm.
That crash report is not very insightful (something to do with a "Generic Page Item"), but I do notice this time:
Version: 6.0.0.352 (6000)
The current maintenance releae of CS4 is 6.0.6; At a minimum, you should update to 6.0.5. There is some possibility of images needing to be resized in 6.0.6 because of a change in bounding box calculations, so while 6.0.6 is the right place to be, please be careful and make sure you don't make a ton of work for yourself by updating to it.
But certainly you should update to 6.0.5.

Disk utility is crashing when trying to create a new image

Seriously need some help if anyone has an idea of why disk utility is crashing while trying to create a disk image. I'm not finding any other info on this issue.
My HD is failing and being replaced tomorrow and I'm desperately trying to create disk images of both my mac HD and of bootcamp for the new drive being installed.
Any recommendations or suggestions would be truly appreciated.

Thank you for responding so quickly. I do have Carbon Copy Cloner, but if disk utility isn't working, getting it to restore is going to be an issue, though haven't attempted a restore since the HD has to be replaced.
CCC also doesn't clone bootcamp either unfortunately.
Currently running "verify permissions" using Disk Utility and so far so good, it hasn't crashed, it seems to be an issue related to imaging with disk utility.
Then I am going to attempt using the install disk to see if I can get disk utility again and try imaging Bootcamp again too.

Elements 10 organizer keeps stopping when trying to create a slide program.

When trying to create a slide program Elements 10 Organizers stops working about half way through the selection. How can I correct this problem?

I tried what you said and was able to import my movie into iDVD although I still had trouble writing the DVD (4 more times) as the titles page viewed with the wrong buttons and the sound was out of synch with the movie.
I tried once again from within iMovie and clicked the 'proceed' button instead of 'render and proceed' and this seemed to work okay.
I then went on to create the DVD which worked fantastic.

NI Configurator 4.1 - Crash when trying to create custom tab

For some reason I have problems when trying to create custom tab in NI Configurator 4.1.
Every time the result is same: Error - NIFCONF_ERROR_APPLICATION_EXCEPTION - Parameter is incorrect...
Any help in this?

IPhoto '11 keeps crashing when trying to import to library

Hello,
May I ask for some assistance please. For some reason tonight when I open iPhoto and try to import photos it keeps crashing. I was able to import about 30-40 photos from a CD before this started to occur. I have included the crash log below. Grateful for any advice?

It might be another preference file other than iPhoto's so here's how to determine if that's the case:
Trouble Shooting Preferences
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
1 - close all applications.
2 - open your Home/Library folder and Option-drag (copy) the Preferences folder to the Desktop.
3 - select the contents of your Home/Library/Preferences folder and drag them into the Trash bin in the Dock. You will be asked to provide your Admin password.
4 - reboot.
5 - run the application again and determine if the problems is fixed
6 - If the problem is fixed:
A - open the working Home/Library/Preferences folder.
B - Open the Preferences folder on the Desktop, select all of the contents and drag them into the working Home/Library/Preferences folder.
C - When the Copy window pops up check the "Apply to All" check box and then click on the Don't Replace or Skip button.
D - reboot.
7 - If the problem is NOT fixed, drag the contents of the Preference folder on the Desktop into the Home/Library/Preference folder and replace the entire contents that were created by clicking on Replace.
8 - reboot.

CS5 Bridge crashes when trying to create a new subdirectory

Bridge version 4.*.*, Windows 8.
Was working perfectly for months then tonight decided to crash when I try to create a new subdirectory.
When I try to create the subdirectory it closes and I get a window telling me Windows is trying to find a solution.
What is the issue have how do I get a remedy.
I thought OK, the application got corrupted, so I will download and install a new version of bridge.
That seems to not be possible as there is no Bridge for CS5 download on the download menu.

ITunes keeps crashing when trying to update

When going on to iTunes on my iPad, it keeps crashing and turning itself off, I have tried to turning off rebooting and, then reinstalling the reinstalling as new iPad but still does the same thing. Can you shed some light.

Tap Settings > Safari > Block Cookies.
Select an option other than "Always."
if no result do this
reset all settings
settings-general-reset-reset all settings
now reconnect to wifi
settings- wifi- click network name- enter password - join
if issue persist back up and restore as new via iTunes

IPhoto keeps crashing when using book func.

Hi all,
I bought a brand new IbookG4 in august, and last week end wanted to use the book functionnality to create my wedding book. I've never been so angry with a computer.... meaning IPhoto crashed more than 10 times, and finally i've lost everything i did that day. Most of the time, crashes happened when i drag & drop a pic into the book, or when i double clicked on a pic to view it in the "Preview" application.
As there is no "save" facility in IPhoto, there was no way for me to save my job before it crashed.
It also crashed when i click on "Buy a Book" button, after a few pages are processed.
I've already deleted the preferences file of IPhoto, it does not make any difference.
Any Idea ??

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try the following:
A - run Disk Utility and repair disk permissions
B - manually set the permissions on your iPhoto Library folder as follows:
Setting Permissions for iPhoto Library Folder
1 - Select the iPhoto Library folder and type Command-I.
2 - When the Info window comes up go to the Ownership and Permissions section and make sure You have Read & Write permission and that the Owner and Group have Read & Write also. Others - Read Only.
3 - Then click on the "Apply to enclosed items..." button.
C - delete the contents of the following folder: User/Library/Caches/iPhoto Cache.
If those don't help make a backup copy of your iPhoto Library folder (select it and type Command-D). Then launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Choose just the first three options. If the rebuild goes as intended you can delete the temporary backup copy to save disk space.
