My iPhone 4S keeps shutting down after I upgraded to iOS7

This has happend twice to me in the past 12 hours since I just updated to iOS 7.0.2, but did not happen after I updated to iOS 7
Last night the operating system crashed to the Apple symbol (a reset) when browsing the settings menu.
Perhaps it's a bug with the movement tracking? Seems to be connected with sudden movements (I noticed it shut off when I quickly lifted the phone up to look at the screen) - perhaps the background parallax is glitching the system to a software reset? If my problem persists I may temproarily disable the parallax to see if that mitigates the resets.
To be clear, the update to iOS 7 didn't precipitate this problem, and I updated to iOS & on the day of its release (9/18).
This used to happen to me sporadically on my iphone 4s on iOS6, usually when my battery was anywhere at 40% to 5% - though I suspect that was because I was due to re-set the battery by completely draining it.
Is anyone else having this issue with their iPhone 4S?
I'm using a Verizon iPhone 4s 64 GB, still in excellent condition.

  • PC is not going to sleep or shut down after upgrade to Windows10

Hello,I upgraded my laptop from win 8.1 to win 10.Now when I close the lid or press the power button, the computer turns the screen off, turns the WIFI off, no more hard disk activity but it is not going to sleep. Also when I shut it down it goes throught the same procedure but never turns off.To start again, I have to keep pressing the power button to turn it off, then turn it on again.I did the powercfg - energy and got this in the report, "USB Suspend:USB Device not Entering Selective Suspend"When the computer had just started, I don't get that message, it also goes to sleep and shuts down normally, while later, I get this message in the report and no longer sleeps or shuts down.Any suggestion ??Thanks

    Hi  ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!
I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 15 Notebook and issues with sleep or shut down after upgrade to Windows 10. Try using the Windows Update Troubleshooting tool to fix the problem. Here is a document that shows how to update drivers that are not working correctly with Windows 10. HP has been working closely with Microsoft on the development of Windows 10. I hope this helps. Thanks.

  • My brand new 6th gen ipod nano keeps shutting down after about 30 seconds?

My new 6th generation ipod nano keeps shutting down after 30 seconds. It has been registered with itunes and has about 200+ songs on it. I have not tried to reset it because i was not sure what this would do. Please help!

This is usually a sign that your headphones are not plugged all the way in.  Make sure you cannot see any silver still showing from the headphone's plug.  It may require a little extra force to get the headphones to become fully inserted.  You should hear a sort of clicking noise indicating that they have been fully seated.
Also check the headphone port from a damage or debris.

My iphoto keeps shutting down while I'm typing a caption. Is there a way to stop that?

    As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?
    What version of iPhoto?

My iTunes keeps shutting down after i plug in my iPod. First it just wouldn't open but now it finds my iPod and then shuts down, it closes it's self. can anyone help?

The five R's don't work because I don't have enough time to restore iPod before it shutsdown, and reinstalling iTunes didn't solve it either.

    Hi,
ever since upgrading from Server 2012 X64 to Server 2012 R2 X64 my dns server keeps shutting down every several minutes before having to do a restart.  When viewing the event log this is all I see..

I have tried removing and then reinstalling the DNS Server role, but the same situation occurs..
    thanks,

    Hi,
I'm going crazy,  I've upgraded my Server 2012 Standard to Server 2012 R2 Standard and now my DNS server keeps crashing since the in place upgrade.  I have finally narrowed it down to it only crashes after several minutes if I load the data from
a file instead of the registry.  As a test I:
-1- killed all my dns data,
-2- uninstalled the dns server role
    -3- deleted the /windows/system32/dns directory
-4- reinstalled the DNS server role
-5- used the wizard to create a DNS server and a forward zone.
everything works okay, no crashes,  then I change the advanced propertied of the DNS server to load from file, restart the DNS server and once again it crashes every 2 minutes..
Please help,  this is killing me..
    thanks in advance..

  • Iphoto keeps shutting down when making a book

Iphoto just keeps shutting down when I am trying to make a book. Every time it shuts down, it erases most of the content of my book. Help!

    birdiemac:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Where in the process does it shut down? When you try to drag a photo into the book or into a page?
If it's when trying to add a photo, can you edit that photo without crashing and do you use Photoshop Elements or Photoshop for any of your editing?
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application, iPhoto dB file backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar

  • IBook shuts down after upgrading from 10.3.3 to 10.3.9

Hi...I tried upgrading an old iBook G3 700 MHz from OS X 10.3.3 to 10.3.9 (combo). Now it won't finish
starting up. I press power, I do hear the chime and get to the point where the first screen with
the simple apple logo shows, but then after 5 seconds it shuts down again. I do hear the disk
    going briefly during this time.
I booted with the hardware diagnostics CD that came with the machine, and all tests passed OK
    - both the quick tests and the extended tests.
Wanted to just try reinstalling from the Panther CD set that I have, but I've found that I can't
boot from those CDs - does the same thing, shows the apple logo, then shuts down after 5 seconds.
I tried restarting in single user mode, it doesn't seem to get very far - I get the black screen, it
prints about 5 lines of information, then one line saying "Using 983 buffer headers..." and then
it shuts down. Seems like it's not getting far at all into the boot process.
Any thought's on what to try next? Wish I could just reinstall, wiping the slate clean, but even
    that doesn't work!
Thanks in advance for any help...
    - Bruce

    Success! This is so bizarre...
I have two Mac laptops, the iBook 700 MHz that's having the problem, and a newer
PowerBook G4. A few days ago I wanted to recharge the iBook...I've been very diligent
up to this point to use the correct charger with each laptop, the one that each came
    with.
I got lazy this last time...plugged the charger for the newer PowerBook into the
older iBook. Then I did the upgrade, and then I shut down the machine. It was after
that that I had problems restarting.
I got suspicious just now and looked at each charger. Thought they would be
interchangeable, but on looking at them the charger for the older iBook says output
is 24v 1.875A, while the one for the PowerBook is 24v 2.65A.
Knowing that there's a PMU (Power Management Unit) in these machines and that it
has settable parameters, I thought, what the heck, plug the correct charger back into
the iBook, just to see what happens. Voila, it started up OK!!!
    What the heck ?!?!
I'm pretty well versed in computers (work with Unix and Linux regularly, love the
Mac OS X command line!), just don't understand everything that goes on under the
hood with the Macs these days.
Just to get some final closure on this problem, can anyone explain why doing what
I did resolved the issue? I'd really like to learn from my mistakes.
Thanks to Rhonda and S.U. who responded so quickly for my plea for help!

  • My wireless router keeps shutting down after installing firefox 8.1

After installing firefox 8.1 my wireless router keeps shutting down. I am using Windows Vista, Gateway Laptop, x64 system. I have a belkin wireless router.

    Hi,
Firefox 8.0 is no longer being maintained or offered for download. The latest version is Firefox 10.0: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
Please make sure to download Firefox from a legitimate site. Also please note that Firefox by itself doesn't and cannot change OS network settings or hardware settings, other than trying to use different configurations in itself.

  • Macbook Pro keeps shutting down after a period of inactivity

I don't know if my problem is related to this but after trying to set up Apple's 1Password, my laptop now shuts down after some time after I put it to sleep or even if I don't put it to sleep but don't use it for awhile.      Any ideas?

  • IPhoto automatically shuts down after attempted upgrade

I have the latest version of iPhoto, but when I try to open it, I get the following message:
The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto.
Your photo library will not be readable by previous versions of iPhoto after the upgrade. The upgrade process for very large libraries may take an hour or more to complete.
When I hit "upgrade," it just shuts down. No upgrade. No iPhoto.
    Anything I can do?

As a test dpress and hold the option key while launching iPhoto and create a new test library - import a few photos into this test library and report back with the results of this test

  • Mac keep shutting down after cancelling Snow Leopard upgrade DVD

    Hello,
I tried to upgrade my computer with the Mac OS X Snow Leopard DVD. The upgrade failed twice, so I decided to quit it and to restart my computer with hardware, but then, it doesn't run more than 35 sec and then shuts down automatically. I have tried 5 times to restart it, but it shuts down even before I can see my desktop. Ho yes, and I ejected the DVD from it.
    ...help please! : )
    Thank you!

Sounds like you've damaged your system by forcing it to quit and restart in the middle of installing. You probably also had something wrong with your machine that was interfering with the installation in the first place, as the Snow Leopard installer is ordinarily pretty good at failing without damaging anything if something causes it to fail.
I would advise [repairing the hard drive with Disk Utility|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1417]. If that fails, you'll need to erase and repartition the hard drive and reinstall Snow Leopard from scratch. If repair works, but you still can't boot, you probably have corruption in important system files. You could try installing Snow Leopard over it at this point, while booted from the Snow Leopard disk. If repair shows no problems, post back here, as you've got something a little more exotic than simple hard disk damage going on.
Do you have a backup? If not, it's possible all your data might be gone at this point, depending on what exactly has gone wrong with your computer. You can try to back up from Disk Utility running from the Mac OS X install disk... see the Restore tab. You'll need an external hard drive to which to copy.
