Iphoto not opening, have tried everything, please help!

Question

My iPhoto is not functioning at all, it tells me to restart my computer and when I do that it says to reopen while pushing Option and Command key, and even still after trying the four options that it presents, my iPhoto is still not opening, thoughts??

DId you try the suggestions in the message?
and if i did that already is there a way to copy photos out of there onto an external hard drive?
Back up now.
Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store
Becuase what if the free trial of Iphoto Library Manager deletes because i didnt pay for it?
Paranoid much? Read this forum, that's happened to nobody, ever.
This is for my employers computer and I would hate to be the one thats responsible for 6000 of her pictures gone
