IPhoto on my macbook air does not see my ipod nano 2nd generation. Is there a way to get the photos from this device into my photo stream without wiping them, which will happen if I sync with iTunes

I have photos on an old 2nd generation ipod nano, that have since been wiped from any other source.
I now have a shared photostream through icloud between all my other apple deivces (iphone, ipod, ipad, macbook air, apple tv), but I cant find a way to get the ipod nano photos onto the stream. The original photo files were detroyed with an old computer, that also had the itunes library to which the nano was linked.
The photos are the only items I want from the nano. Can anyone help?

You need to copy the photos off of the Nano and onto your MacBook Air first.
The photos you synced to your iPod through iTunes are no longer in their full resolution, but instead are scaled down thumbnails of those photos. So if you do manage to get them off your iPod, they will be quite small in size compared to the original ones you lost.
In order to get them off of your iPod, you'll need the help of some sort of 3rd party software. Here is one option.

AS it stands now, in order to use the calculator that comes with the Dashboard, you cannot read from a list of numbers in, lets say, word or excel. Save all the photos from your Droid into a folder on your computer.
Connect your device to your computer. On iTunes left Pane, select iPhone under 'Devices'; then on the right Pane, select PHOTO tab. Make sure Sync Photo box is checked, and "from" box selected the folder that has Droid's photos. Then click the SYNC or APPLY button on the lower right window.

It would not work anyway. The activation servers have been retired and Adobe has provided a new CS2 download along with a new serial number for CS2 owners.

I no longer can access my old desktop at all, is there a way to get the bookmarks from just the Sync account or an Android device to a new machine?

My desktop that I use for my primary device's hard disk died recently and my laptop shortly after got hit with a virus. This has left me unable to get to any of my bookmarks that were stored on my Sync account.
However, my cell phone still has all the old desktop links. Is there a way to get Sync to get those from the cloud onto the deskop, or do I have to start a slow process of sending links from my phone to my PC one at a time?

Sounds like your phone is in recovery mode. In this case, all data on it is gone. There's nothing to back up.

I'm having a problem with my 2nd generation ipod nano. My ipod itself works fine! The thing is that my computer won't recognize it. It says something about there being some "malfunction" or other. Also, for some reason it doesn't want to charge right. Can someone please help me with this?

First of all, try another port on your computer. Some ports are not connected direct to the motherboard and do not recognize the iPod as well as those that are. Reset the iPod each time you connect it to another port.
Then try with the iPod in forced disk mode.
Putting iPod into disk mode.
