Iphoto only for MAC?

hey there,
i just got my new ipod and now i was wondering how to put my photos on it... all i found out so far is that i need some kind of programm for this but iphoto seems to be only for MAC is that true? and does anyone know a programm for my PC that i can use for putting photos on my ipod?

for a mac you need iphoto to transfer photos but since you are a windows user, i suggest that you go to the apple site and select "ipod+itunes". scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see ipod support. click on it and another page will load, "ipod service and support" how to. you will see video tutorials. select the one on transferring pictures into your ipod(5th one down). a small window will open and click on pc and run the video. it will show you how to go about inputting photos into your ipod. by the way, you will require itunes for this to work. its a free download. hope this helps. bye.

GarageBand only for Mac?

Im interested in Apple's GarageBand software and I went to the website but it only mentioned it for a Mac computer. Can you also get it for window's as well?

Unfortunately, it is only for Macs. However, there are similar programs for Windows.
If you are interested in buying a Mac, there is a new software for the Intel computers that allows Macs to run Windows XP and the Mac Software, if you have the real XP install disk. This would allow you to have garageband, and other Mac programs, while allowing you to use Windows for everything else.

The SDK is only for Intel Macs running at least 10.5.2. It is not possible to run on other systems. Sorry.

I am not able to see how to sync Notes with my PC. Is it perhaps meant only for Macs?

Flash 10.1 Intel-only for macs BIG MISTAKE!

As the title says: BIG MISTAKE if Adobe wants Flash to continue widespread adoption going forward. Intel-only mac support will lock out a LOT of schools and students from accessing any content produced for 10.1.
Adobe, please re-consider. Accessing the www should not require steep system requirements. HD video and 3D stuff... that's understandable. But otherwise, to up the requirements so much (in comparison to 10.0) is to hobble many internet users.

Support for the Macintosh PowerPC platform is not available in this prerelease but will be available in a future prerelease.
Glad to know Adobe is keeping compatibility with older computers in mind. (HD aside, my G5 has plenty of oomph here yet)

Issue with processig calendar order in iPhoto 8 for Mac

Hi,
I have iPhoto 8 on my Mac. I created a calendar but when I want to order the calendar I get an error message saying that they can no longer process orders for iPhoto 7. So I'm not able order the calendar.
I cannot upgrade to the latest version of iLife because my laptop is too old.
I installed iPhone on my iPad but in this app you cannot create calendars.
Any suggestions?

Small clarification:
You have iPhoto 08 - that's a Marketing name, the actual version of iPhoto is v7
iPhoto 09 is a marketing name - the version of iPhoto is v8
And iPhoto 11 is actually v9 of iPhoto
And of course none of that is remotely confusing in the slightest.
So there are two versions of iPhoto you can upgrade to - 09 and 11 - that will run on 10.6.8 and still allow you to order prints. You can run all version of iPhoto 09 on 10.6.8 and any version of iPhoto 11 up to v9.2.3.
And again, that's all clear and simple to follow, right?

Games in Mac, well, suck. It's disappointing, especially when developers do a 3rd-rate job of brining existing PC games over to X.
I have the same MacBook as you, napoleon. Here's the kicker - Your Intel X3100 video drivers are BETTER in Windows than it is in Leopard. Even the dock in Leopard is choppy. Makes me regret my MacBook purchase at times (though so many other positives!).
It saddening that you can't avoid Windows, especially when you only want to play a few games.
My suggestions for RTS games for Windows:
Company Of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
Age of Empires
(as said) C&C3, it's a fantastic game, and an amazing series. You can't go wrong with Command and Conquer.

Iphoto Version for Mac OS 10.5.8

I just upgraded from 10.4 to 10.5.8 so I can sync my new iphone 4g and now my old version of iphoto won't open and I cannot access photos of my family, kids and grandkids. I am sick.
What is the oldest version of iphoto that will run on on OS 10.5.8? (need to keep this old Powerbook going as long as possible, as I lost my job). Are there places where you can find old apps of iphoto to download for free? Thanks in advance!

Win program for WMV conversion sought - plugin only seen for Mac OS

It was suggested I post this in here, so if anyone can help it would be appreciated. Many thanks.....
I have searched and searched, discussion, library and quicktime player and what I found and D\L seemed to be only for Mac OS.
What I found was Flip4Mac, WM components, perian, (downloading these large files on a 26.4 connection is a pain esp. since they are not the correct files either) and on top of that I have no idea how to add a plugin to Quicktime player... not sure if it was because these were Mac OS programs or not. I did NOT see an option for adding these in Quicktime Player and clicking on the downloaded file did not work either.
I am running Windows Vista on my desktop and XP on my laptop.
I have itunes and Quicktime Player installed and am looking to convert the .wmv, to a mpeg-4 file I believe, so I can open and put the converted file onto my new iphone.
I would appreciate any help.

I tried a short clip and it converted without any problem then the program told me how to get it into itunes via popup boxes. I will play more with it when I get home tonight but am sure I will buy it.
