IPhoto plug-ins compatible?

I am finding great joy with Aperture, I wish I could 'simply' use iPhoto but I need this and I need that... But now I've seen all these great plug-ins for iPhoto and am not sure if they will be compatible with Aperture or if Aperture can even accept plug-ins?

there is an SDK for the aperture export plugins ...
http://www.apple.com/aperture/resources/exportapi.html
on the right side is a link to the SDK ...
check out the http://www.aperturepluggedin.com/ site for the flickr plug in or at flickr itself ...

  • Are any plug-ins compatible with the trial version of Photoshop CS6?

Are any plug-ins that work on Photoshop CS5 compatible with CS6?
Also, the Deblur plug-in does not seem to be included in the trial version.  Will it be included in the final release?
    Thank you for your time.

The "deblur technology demo"  was just a demonstration of technology being researched. It is not currently a feature in Photoshop or an available plugin.

  • Firefox 4 couldn't find compatible plugins, but didn't say in the final message, which ones it had failed to find. I've reinstalled 3.6.17. Is there a way to discover which plug-ins were lost?

I was exhorted to upgrade to Firefox 4. Believing that like most such upgrades, it would be compatible and inconsequential, I did so. Having completed installation, it told me that a couple of plug-ins were incompatible (Yahoo and another which I didn't note) and that it would search for compatible plug-ins. When it finally told me that none were available, it didn't then say which were not installed, so I had no way of going back to find out. I followe instructions on a previous question to uninstall FF4 and reinstall FF3.6.17. How can I now discover which plug-ins were lost and thus restore them?

You can set the prefs dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.* to false on the about:config page to disable the plugin-container process.
    dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npctrl.dll (Silverlight)
    dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npqtplugin.dll (QuickTime)
    dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npswf32.dll (Flash)

  • Can I use plug-ins in iPhoto?

Can I use plug-ins in iPhoto? THe plug-ins are Neat Image and Noise Ninja.

Yes, there is a plug-in architecture for iPhoto, but as to whether these two will work with whatever version of iPhoto you have, you'll need to ask whoever makes them.

  • Compatible plug ins???

Just a quick question...I use pro tools LE to record but sometimes it is fun to just jam with garageband. Are plug ins for pro tools compatible with GB3?
I saw another post last week about using plug ins with GB.
BTW...you can download a free SSL compressor plug in from their website. It is modeled after the phil collins gated drum effect. It works in GB.

  • IMovie plug ins not compatible with Intel Macs

I need a page turn transition for an iMovie 6 project I'm working on. I downloaded one from cfx, but apparently a lot of the plug ins are not compatible with Intel Macs. Anyone out there have any suggestions?

Any GeeThree plug-in that uses flash will no longer work, which include all the WildFX plug-ins. Apple did away with flash support in Quicktime 7.3.1 or newer! Now iMovie is basically unusable without the very cool & professional GeeThree plug-ins. If Apple keeps this up iMovie will probably go the way of the dinosaur. I've talked to Apple about this and they responded "why don't you buy Finalcut Pro". It's what Apple does best, Farm the base.....

  • When I install OS 10.6 will iMovie 6 still be compatible along with the 3rd party plug ins?

When I install OS 10.6 -Snow Leopard-will iMovie 6 still be compatible along with the 3rd party plug ins?
Also, Firefox says Apple no longer supports OS 10.5 as far as security goes.  Now what do I do?
I like to use both Safari and firefox.

iMovie 6 works just fine, even in 10.8. The plug-ins may not work in 10.7 and 10.8 as most use PPC code.

  • No Plug-ins, iPhoto

Hello. I am suddenly told there are "no plug-ins" found when I load up iPhoto (4.0.3). This seems to mean I don't have options such as "greetings card" when I'm selecting print formats. Any suggestions please?

first download and install the 9.0.3 iLife support update - http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/application_updates/ilifesupport903. html
If that does not fix it delete the iPhoto application and the iPhoto receipts ("your hard drive" ==> library ==> receipts ==>) and reinstall iPhoto form the original disks (the restore disks that came with your computer as a custom install of bundled software only or the iLife disks if you purchased an iLife upgrade)

  • Iphoto 9.4.3 plug-ins

In iPhoto 7.1.5 there were 51 plug-ins.  Where are the plug-ins located in iPhoto 9.4.3?

Depends on exactly what you're looking for. There are some within the iPhoto.app package and some at the Application Support folder in your home Library.

  • Nik Software Plug-Ins are not compatible with Aperture 3

After installing my upgrade to Aperture 3, I get a message when attempting to use one of my Nik Software editing plug-ins. The message says that the plug-ins are not 64-bit (they are 34-bit) and in order to run them, Aperture must close and reopen in 34-bit mode. What does this mean and how do I fix it?

    Keli
In order to open Aperture in 32-bit mode by default you can right-click on the application icon, select "Get Info" and check the box marked "Open In 32-bit Mode" (or you can continue to run it by default in 64-bit mode and just get forced to re-open the app anytime you need to use plug-ins that can only run in 32-bit mode).
    hope this helps!

  • I have a few plug-ins that obviously are not compatible with FF 8. I even tried updating the Picasa 3 plug-in, and it still says it's not updated?

    I have 5 plug-ins I'm having problems with.
    Shockwave Flash
Shockwave Flash 11.0 r1 ( Apparently they don't even have a Windows Vista update for 64 bit systems? Only Windows 7)
    Windows Presentation Foundation
Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) plug-in for Mozilla browsers
    Picasa
    Picasa plugin
    Google Earth Plugin
    GEPlugin
    Google Update
    Google Update

Those are all third-party Add-ons to Firefox and those are handled differently in Firefox 8.
    *Start with --> https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Add-ons%20are%20disabled%20after%20updating%20Firefox
*'''''Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)''''' comes from the installation of Microsoft's .NET
*For the Google items and Picasa, you will need to check the appropriate sites to see if updates are available.
    '''<u>Adobe Flash</u>'''<br />
There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash:
*an '''ActiveX version''' for IE only
*a '''Plugin version''' for most other browsers including Firefox
*On a Windows system, you should always update both individually.
*'''''You do not appear to have the Plugin version for Firefox installed. ''''' If you did, in Add-ons > Plugins you would see "Shockwave Flash ''(version)''". If "Shockwave Flash" is there and is disabled, click the "Enable" button.
*Check your Plugins often --> http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
*only the most popular/used Plugins are known by this page
*page will detect only installed, '''''enabled''''' Plugins
    '''<u>Install or update Adobe Flash</u>'''<br />
#'''<u>Using Firefox</u>''', go to the following link and SAVE the download to your desktop so you can find it later. Un-check any items on that page that you do not want to download (i.e., "McAfee Security Scan Plus":
#When the download is finished, close Firefox (File > Exit '''''OR''''' Firefox button > Exit)
#Click or double-click on the file you just saved to your desktop
#*In the installation window that appears, click the box to the left of "I have read and...." to place a check mark in the box
#*The "Install" button in the lower right corner will now be highlighted, click it.
    #*The installation is quick.
#Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
#To update/install the ActiveX version for IE '''''only''''', repeat the process, '''<u>but use IE to go to the above website</u>'''.
'''NOTE:''' Some users have experienced some problems with the 32-bit version of Flash (Firefox is a 32-bit browser and requires it) not being installed on 64-bit systems; the current Adobe Flash installer is supposed to install both on 64-bit systems with a 32-bit browser. If Firefox does not recognize Flash (see the test page above) after installing per the above instructions, then download, and SAVE to your Desktop, the 32-bit installer from the direct link below. After the download is complete, run the installer and test on the test page above again.

  • Adobe flash player 10.3 is installed but doesn't appear in plug-ins:what else do I need to do to play videos?

Until a few months ago I was able to play videos in e-mails on my desktop computer, running on windows XP, through Verizon FIOS. Then I kept getting the message that I needed Adobe Flash Player 9.0. I have downloaded the latest version, Adobe Flash Player 10.3.183.1, several times, getting the message from Adobe that I am now running that program. However, when I try to play a video, I still get the message that the the plug-in isn't installed, and the table of plug-ins doesn't include Adobe Flash Player. Is there something else that must be done to make the (presumably) installed program active? If so, what is it?

Sorry, Firefox 4 is not compatible with Flash for Android.
We're starting work to possibly support Flash for Android in a future version of Firefox. For details, see: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Fennec/Features/Plugins

  • All Adobe plug-ins no longer work or install under FF 3.6.6

As soon as I upgraded, Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash stopped working, with a message saying I needed a newer version. When I tried to install those, however, I get an error message saying additional plug-ins are needed to continue. When I click to load those, I get a message saying it can't be done because some file is missing, so try a manual install. Which, of course, also doesn't work. Because of my work-related use of the Internet, the PDF reader, in particular, is a necessity. So what's wrong here and how is it fixed?

    Hi, luanna.
This is a long shot but have you checked your iLok? Are the licences still on it? Has it been pulled out of the usb slot or bumped?
I've occasionally had trouble with mine suddenly deciding not to work.
I had to reload the licences from the iLok site and the problem was fixed.
On the same subject: have you plugin licences expired for some reason?
These, as I said, are longshots, but a malfunction iLok could cause what you're describing.
Another possibility have you started running either OS X or Logic in 64 bit? If so, plugsound might not be compatible.
Hope that you fix the problem.
