Iphoto quit after trashing??????

Question

Hi, here's my problem. I've got two account on my Mac, one got no problem at all, Iphoto work like a charm, the other account, Iphoto is always quitting after emptying the trash and scrolling the library bar to the top. I trash the pref, nothing, I rebuilt everything and also nothing. Iphoto is from the same Application folder then my first account. Need some help.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Create a new temporary library in the problem account and see if you can get it to work. If so then it's the library that's causing the issue. If that's the case delete the temporary library and download and run BatChmod on the problem iPhoto Library folder with the settings shown here, putting your administartive name in the owner and group sections. You can either type in the path to the folder or just drag the folder into that field.
If that's doesn't help launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select the first three options.
If neither help post back and we'll take it from there.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB file backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it.
