IPhoto reports "100 page limit reached" but I'm only on page 87

I understand, for whatever reason, there is a limite of 100 pages in iPhoto's Book feature.
Fine, I combed through my photos and reduced, reduced, reduced. I've spent a lot of time on it.
However, now I'm creating pages manually, one at a time, and I just finished page 87. Now, if I try to add a new page, iPhoto claims "This book already contains 100 pages. Additional pages cannot be added until an existing page is removed."
Now how could I possible have 100 pages, when it only shows 87?
Seems like a software bug to me -- could it be there is also a # of photos limit in a Book, and the error message is wrong but telling me I have too many photos?

If you have enough photos added to the book project to get to 100 pages view just the unplaced photos in the photo bin at right and click on the Autoflow button. If that gets you to 100 pages you can rearrange the photos in the last 13 pages if they are not as you'd like.
If that doesn't work, backup the library and try the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in the User/Library/Application Support/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select options #1, #2 and #6.

Each device can only create three iCloud accounts. If you have reached this limit on one device, create your iCloud account on a different one.

I get 100 MBs of Internet but I am only downloading at 6 KB/sec!!

I am trying to download some stuff for my game and after checking my internet connection, I found that I get about 100MB/sec. But as I download, it goes very slow; Only 6KB/sec. Is there any way to speed up my downloads?

This is a standard facet of most VPNs - the problem lies in your NAT router since both clients appear to come from the same IP address as far as the VPN server is concerned, and the router can't separate out the traffic.
There are a couple of solutions.
First, the built-in VPN server supports L2TP and PPTP protocols. You should be able to connect one system under each protocol, so that gets your two machines connected.
Second, you can replace your NAT router with one that supports multiple VPN clients (often termed 'VPN passthrough').
Third, setup a site-to-site tunnel so that your entire LAN is connected to the VPN (this saves you from having to run a separate VPN client on each machine, but is typically only worth it when you have more machines).

By saving do you mean creating a PDF file of it? Have you rebooted since the problem. Also try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Lion and Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE 1: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
If the above fails continue with the following:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.

USB endpoint hardware limit reached, but why?

I was playing with a few FTDI RS232 serial converter cables. Plugging them in and out. After doing this several times, I noticed that the device is not recognized anymore. I dug into the system logs and found the reason:
30/10/14 13:54:59,000 kernel[0]: The USB device at USB Address 0 might not work correctly because the controller driver has reached a hardware limit on the number of endpoints
Sure, sounds logical that there is a hardware limit to the number of connected USB devices. The thing is, I have only a single one connected. So it looks like something is not quite cleaned up when I pull the converter out of the USB socket.
Is there some way to clean the endpoints without rebooting my Mac?

ICloud restore limit reached but I have never restored my device

My phone has been acting very strange the past week, so I did a complete wipe and refresh of the device. After restoring from iCloud, it started to download the apps and gave me this error: "this apple id has restored to too many devices in the last 90 days". The weird part? This is my only apple device, and I have never reset it before... ever.
Now the full version of the story, and yes as with all great tech problems it has a very stupid move on my part, I promise:
My iPhone 4s phone fell 2 feet off a chair face down and the screen cracked to bits :/
After a week of putting up with packaging tape on my screen to keep from cutting my fingers, I decided to get it fixed. Up until this point not a single problem with my phone ever.
>STUPID ALERT< I took it to one of those cell phone shops that are every 3 blocks, because the nearest certified place is 2 hours away. This one came "highly recommended" by 2 respected friends who do not know each other. Just in case, I changed my number lock to a very complex code. (yes, I know how stupid that sounds now - I know about jailbreaking)
It went in with a 90% charge and came out with a 9% charge (??!!) - yes, I'm a nerd. I use the % on my battery meter.
They took 45 minutes to repair my screen. All seemed well at first, but later I realized my battery indicater was not moving. It was stuck at 9% for 2 hours, and even after charging for 2 hours still read 9% when I unplugged the cable.
I rebooted, after which it updated the power indicator, but then proceeded to lose power and reboot at least a dozen times on its own before stabilizing. I realized at this point it was only updating the battery indicator upon reboot. I quickly found out this would be the "new normal" for my phone.
I noticed things were sluggish. About every 10 seconds functionality would briefly hang, then catch up to itself.
After a week of this, I decided to finally reset my phone.
I did not know Wifi was needed to reactivate my phone :/ so I waited 2 hours then started the restore when I got home.
I let it go,screen dark due to timing out. An hour later I came back and was informed the restore had failed. I'm assuming it was due to switching over to 3G after the screen is off for a while.
I re-started the restore, only this time I had to leave the house and figured it would just pick up where it left off when I reconnect. Wrong! It stopped the restore saying it had lost Wifi connection.
Upon returning home, I restarted the restore, this time making sure I kept the screen alive by tapping it frequently and turning it back on immediately any time it went dark.
After coming alive finally, it started downloading apps to restore. Again it started the multiple reboot problem and each time it reboot, it would continue trying to download apps.
Upon returning to check on it later, I encountered the following error: "This apple id has restored to too many devices in the last 90 days". (!!??) I never knew such a thing existed.
So now my paranoia is starting to set in and I can't help but wonder if the cell store managed to steal my iCloud password and restore my account to multiple spoofed devices to try to steal my money/info/identity/passwords/etc... So now some questions to either justify or shut down my paranoia:
How many cloud restores are allowed within 90 days?
Is it possible someone else is restoring my account to their own device without me knowing? If yes, wouldn't those devices show up on my iCloud device listing?
Is it possible someone entirely switched out my phone and swapped my data over to it, giving me a damaged phone - undetected (i.e. if they broke mine while replacing the screen and to cover it up gave me a parts-phone that would appear fully functional)?
Is there a way to tell if my phone has been jailbroken?
Is 45 minutes too long for a screen repair?
Please forgive my conspiracy-mind. I've had my credit cards and email accounts hacked enough to know that the underbelly of tech is very real. I am involved in the IT industry so not stupid when it comes to this stuff (despite #3 in the top narrative); I'm just new to Apple so not sure if these kinds of breaches are craziness on an iPhone. I always hear about how secure Apple products are and maybe put too much trust in that. Thank you for reading such a long post

I don't know the answer to how many restores it takes to get to the lock out message, got same one today! As for the iPhone, it sounds like the repair shop might of given you a battery swap. iPhone is turned off while it is apart and replacing screen. To remove the front screen you have to remove the battery to gain access. The only way you could drain your battery that fast is if you were playing Angry Birds the whole time while using iPhone as a wifi hot spot connected using a Bluetooth keyboard and talking on the phone (AT&T network of course). That is why I believe they swapped your battery out while they repaired your screen. As for the 45 minutes for the repair would be about right I believe. I've done repairs on iPhone 4/4s enough to replace the screen in under 30 minutes or less. But if they are working, stopping to help other people coming in, or they were working on one prior to you arriving, then 45 minutes sounds about right. I would suggest if there is a next time, just go to an Apple Store, make a trip out of the day if you need to drive 2 hours. Because, 1) they may do shady things like swap out your battery for a cheaper one to sell yours at a premium. And 2) they always almost use cheap replacements for the repair. The key words to look for, OEM, don't buy. If it states Genuine Apple replacement parts, they would have the proper replacement parts that you want for the repair. And that is not always the case too, if the place looks like its ran out the back door of an apartment and states Genuine Apple replacement, I would run as fast as I can away from that place. I know it's a lot cheaper to have it repaired by a shop but your getting an almost new iPhone from Apple Stores (Remanufactured) for $150 plus tax. As for the lock out, call or e-mail Apple and ask for them to remove the lock out and they will remove it with a disclaimer. Just contact them and you will get a response in a day or two stating that it has been removed. Had iTunes Match 90 day lock out removed twice by contacting Apple and asking for them to remove restriction. Anyway, I just want to wish you two the bast of luck, with regards to the lockout. Just get a hold of Apple and they will take care of you. One more thing, "Once you go MAC you never go back!"

Photoshop Elements 9 - Activation limit reached, but other computer burnt up

My last laptop burst into flames, and therefore I cannot "deactivate" that license. I installed Adobe on my new computer, but it just gives me the message that I have to deactivate another license. The computer that burnt up was the only license I ever activated. I still have the original disks, but I cannot use the program that I bought and paid for. Certainly there must be some way to notify Adobe that the other computer can never run the program again, and get access to my program. I cannot be the only person who ever had a computer stop working without first being able to deactivate a license.

I try to convert word 2011 document to a pages 09 document but save as only does 08

I have Pages 09 ver. 4.3 both on my iMac and on my iPad. I have my resume saved on my mac as a word 2011 docx but, when I try to convert it to pages in Save as... it only wants to save the document as a Pages 08 document and that will not work on my iPad mini!
I have know way to put this in my iPad Mini.
I need some help please.

The current version of Pages for your iPad is 1.7.2, I believe.
Word documents are converted to Pages documents not by Save as, but by Opening in Pages.
Pages 09 on your iMac Saves as Pages 09 by default, and can Save As... to Pages08 as an option.

When I load an index.html file, the page looks fine, but when I refresh, the page shrinks.

I am using Dreamweaver. I open an index.html file in Firefox and it looks fine. When I make changes, and then refresh in Firefox, the page will shrink. If I close out Firefox and open the file in Firefox, it's fine until it's refreshed and then it shrinks again.
The file has one background image that is 1024px by 768px. I made sure the browser was completely open and I have a 27 inch monitor, so there is no reason for it to shrink down.
I've opened the same file in Chrome and Explorer and this doesn't happen.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox hoping this would help, but it didn't.
Suggestions on how to make this stop?

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)

Looks like you have '''Print Background (color & images)''' enabled on for all three printers you have installed, Adobe PDF included. ''I see those settings in your More system details.'' That's why you are getting the grey (monochrome Laserjet) or blue background, but that should be printed on the first page, too.

If your home page of the virtual server is displayed then,you have set the virtual server properly.
check the links and source of the images or directories in the HTML source code of the home page.

When I try to 'print booklet' InDesign responds "The active document uses multiple page sizes. Print Booklet works only with documents that use a consisten page size." But Document Setup shows that Page Size is Letter (8.5 x 11)

All text and graphics appear within the constraints of the margins. All pages show the same size according to the rulers.

Let me confess I do not understand the workings of the master pages. I had to create master pages from my document to get them to show up. I have a [none] master that shows up, the rest are my content.

Sometimes I want to print like page one of two pages, Firefox makes me print all the pages. Safari lets me print only the pages I want. What up?

Did you check the settings in the print options?
Go to the "File" menu, then "Print". 
The window that appears will have three drop-down menus at the top. 
The first is labeled "Printer". 
The second is "Presets". 
The third is unlabeled but has "Copies & Pages" selected by default. 
Click on that third menu and select "Firefox" near the bottom of the list.
