Iphoto Share

I entered the wrong password when trying to share a picture thru Iphoto, How can I change it so I am able to send the pics?
It asked something about the key....  I click on deni, but when it asked me to enter the password I enter it wrong, now I don't know how to change it.

Which form of Sharing were you trying to use? Email? Facebook? FLickr?...

My iPhoto "share" drop down menu no longer has the burn dvd option.  What do I do?

That feature was dropped with iPhoto 9.  Select the photos you want to burn to disk, export to a folder on the Desktop via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export  menu, insert a blank disk in the optical dirive, drag the folder onto the disk icon and drag it to the Trash bin to burm.

in the iPhoto preferences ==> accounts delete your e-mail account and reenter it
    OR
IMHO the better solution is to set Apple mail as the email client in the iPhoto preferences

  • How do I change the photo sizes from cm to inches in the new iPhoto share/print?

When I wish to print a picture from the share/print section of iphoto it lists the available print sizes in cm ie 10 x 15 instead of 4 x 6 inches. I can't seem to find anywhere to select the units that you want to use.  I am using the latest version of iPhoto.

    Terence,
perhaps Dukeasooke is using mixed language settings like me.
I found that changing "Measurements Units" did not suffice, if the region is still set to Germany. I had to actually set the region in the Language & Text preferences to a country that uses "US" units in addition to ensuring that the "US" units were selected. Also, with Mavericks it is essential  to restart the system before launching iPhoto again after changing "Language & Text" preferences, or they may not take.

  • IPhoto-Share-send to iDVD, errors everytime

the SHARE > send to iDVD starts to process, and results in an ERROR window everytime. I have tried a basic slide show & the special Photobook slideshow...
nothing works. Prompt help is GREATLY appreciated.
    Software added is:
    Adobe CS (works fine)
LightScribe (does not work)...help with this also appreciated

    Tailman:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Do you have a folder in your User folder titled Movies? If not then that's the reason. iPhoto looks for that folder to save the Quicktime file into as it imports into iDVD.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Can iPhoto share a stream with iOS7?

    hi
I have created a shared photostream on an iOS7 phone, and allowed family members to post photos to it, but I can't seem to get the photos to synch with iPhoto on my Mac, is this even possible?
I can post photos in iPhoto on my Mac to this shared stream and we can see those photos on the iOS7 device, but doesn't look like it works going from the iOS to the Mac
    thanks
    nick

Having other post photos to a shared PhotoStream is currently only available on IOS 7 and the PC - I woudll expect a Mac iPhoto release that supprotes it soon (just a guess)
What software versions do I need to be able view and share videos, and contribute to other people's shared streams?
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 7.0 or later
PC with Windows 7 or later and the iCloud Control Panel 3.0 or later
AppleTV (second generation) with Apple TV Software Update 6.0 or later
If the owner of the shared stream has turned on the Public Website option and shares the link with you, you will be able to view videos and see photos and video added by all contributors from any up-to-date browser.

  • Unable to share slideshows in iPhoto, share option all greyed out except for email and iCloud

    iPhoto version 9.6
    OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
Completed a slideshow share 11/28 via iPhoto to Facebook
Created a new slideshow to upload to fb msg users however all fields in Share were greyed out except for email.
While working with Apple support and waiting on them I went into iCloud preferences and unchecked a share with selected users and found then that under share iCloud now appears along with email however all other options for sharing are still greyed out.
Please help as support is saying that is the way iPhoto now works
    Thank You, Theresa

Export the slideshow and that makes a movie of it.
    Upload that to Facebook.

  • IPhoto share extension not available

I’ve been accustomed in iPhoto to sending photos through Outlook (Outlook for Mac) Mail. However, in the new Photos Share ‘Apple and third party extension’ selection box, the options to use the extensions ‘Messages’, ‘Outlook Mail’ and ‘AirDrop’ are greyed out, and I cannot find any way to enable them. Since I downloaded Photos, this option is also greyed out in the iPhoto app.
Furthermore, and, for me, more importantly, since installing Photos (and OS X 10.10.3), I’m unable, using the Outlook attachment button, to attach photo images to emails (from Outlook) from the Photos folder, because this folder (which to date has been the source of the images I attach to Outlook emails) now contains only a small crop of Photo Booth images.
At the moment I seem to be deprived of both options to attach photos to Outlook emails, both of which were available before Photos installed. Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    Michael Dalton

Okay, I just figured this out but it leaves me with another question. Once I switched to wifi, they options showed up. Bizarre. Why won't this work on a wired Internet connection?

  • Can Aperture and iPhoto share library?

Is there a way they would be in harmony together? I need to keep the iPhoto usage around in my computer (that is where my whole library is) and also use Aperture..

Aperture and iPhoto can use the same referenced images, but adjustment made in one app does not show up in the other if that's what you mean.
What you can do is to share your images in both apps and then you can, in Aperture, go to 'File' > 'Show iPhoto Browser...'
The other way, from iPhoto, you can go to 'Archive' > 'Show Aperture-Library...' and have access to all images from within both apps. From the browsers you can drag and drop images.

  • Iphoto share via e-mail

Using iphoto '11' (aka v. 9.2.1), I send a photo via share / e-mail.  When I hit send, iphoto message says that my imap username and password is not recognized.
This is the same imap mail account that is receving and sending to all folders in another app, Apple Mail.  When I eventually get the iphoto app to send, I can't remember how without trial and error and trial, then asks me for the mail account password (same pw already saved in Mail prefs), then I tell it to save the pw in my 'keychain'.  But next time I log on I'm back to square one.
I have one and only one mail account in the Mail prefs.
Is Mail and iphoto integrated?  Automated even?
How can I do this simple process - share a photo via e-mail from within iphoto - without making a troubleshooting project out of it?
    Thank you

Why not just quit fighting it and in the iPhoto preferences set Mail as your e-mail client and eliminate all teh drama?

  • IPhoto Share Email The email server didn't recognize your username/password combination.

I have deleted the email and re-adding it I still get the error. I have logged out of mobileme and deleted the old mobileme section in iPhoto > Preferences. I deleted all the .plist files in the Library > Preferences folder to no avail. I'm choosing the iCloud account not MobileMe and it just won't work.
Mail emails just fine and I want to email photos with iPhoto nor Mail because I want the stationary.

Indeed, you can email photos direct from iPhoto. That's what the Share option is all about. I don't know what Brb8910 is thinking.
Unfortunately I'm getting the same error you got. I see your problem was a while ago but I'm browsing round here looking for the answer so I thought I'd let you know.

  • Iphoto share functions not allowed

Since a reload of OSX by Apple store to fix a problem on imac, the share function of iphoto is greyed out.
Permissions are set to read/write "you have custom access"
    Why is this happening?
    How do I fix this?

    Cured by "restarting" the imac.

  • Do iMovie and iPhoto share source files?

I want to pair down the photos and videos that I have stored in iPhoto.
However, I do not want to mess up my iMovie projects.  I hope to eliminate the iPhoto files but keep the iMovie projects.
Can anybody tell me if iPhoto and iMovie use the same photo and video files?  How does the linkage work?
I tried a test and made a IMovie project and then deleted the event in iPhoto and it did not affect my iMovie project.  However, when I am in iMovie and click on a photo or video and say "reveal in finder" it shows me that the photo or video is stored in iPhoto Library!  This makes me nervious about deleting the iPhoto event file.
I am running OS X Mavericks.  I am running iPhoto 9.5 and iMovie 10.0

I don't use iMovie much at all but you can test it this way:
1 - select a movie file in iPhoto that is in iMovie and export it to the Desktop via File ➙ Export ➙ File Export with Kind + Original.
2 - delete the movie from iPhoto and empty both the iPhoto and Dock trash bins.
3 - launch iMovie and see if the movie is still there.
Also ask in the iMovie community as they will have more experience with iMovie it's relation to iPhoto than I.

  • What's up with iPhoto "share"?

The new update on iPhoto is perplexing. It used to be, for me, quite simple to select pics I want, and then email, facebook, etc. them. Now, there is this awkward postcard type format that is difficult to edit, delete certain pics. etc. Also, and I may be missing something simple, I have no record of those sent emails in my Mail folder.  Any help would greatly be appreciated.

. Now, there is this awkward postcard type format that is difficult to edit, delete certain pics.
Set the Preferences in iPhoto to mail your photos using "Mail" and not iPhoto.
Change the setting for "Email photos using" to "Mail", if it is set to iPhoto. Then you will see a regular Mail window. And you can add :cc or :bcc fields to receive copies.
