IPhoto Stuck Loading

iPhoto (version 4.0.3) gets stuck when I click the iPhoto icon. It begins loading -- a little icon in the middle of the screen pivots round and round -- but then nothing happens.
The problem began when I tried to export the photos in iPhoto to Canon Photo Print. I believe I inadvertently exported the entire photo collection, which is sizable. The photos in iPhoto appear to have been purged. Any suggestions on what to do?

  • Applications stuck loading.

Four applications on my iPod Touch are stuck "loading." What I mean is that I downloaded them off of the app store through the iPod a day ago, and since then they've just sat there with their loading bars empty, with "Waiting" underneath them. I can't delete them, and resetting the iPod doesn't do anything. I'm currently out of town, so I haven't been near a computer to try synching it.
If it matters, the apps were Metal Gear Solid Touch LITE, Megaman II LITE, the update for the Cracked app, and the update for that popular free building game whose name escapes me. Help?

Alright, so this is what i did and it worked for me.. I had a grey app loading and it was stuck on "waiting" would not load. So i hooked my ipod touch to my computer waited till it was done syncing then i turned my ipod off then turned it back on... when i synced it back up and looked at my apps from my computer it was gone..i then disconnected my ipod and looked at my apps and it was no longer there..sooo its gonen yay..i hope this works for you!

  • When connecting iphone to computer iphoto always loads

When connecting iphone to my computer iphotos always loads on top. how do I stop iphotos from loading

When there are photos in your iPhone's Camera Roll, your iPhone is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer. Although photos in your iPhone's Camera Roll are included with your iPhone's backup, which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process, photos in your iPhone's Camera Roll should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. Not a good idea to depend on your iPhone's backup alone for these photos, and deleting the photos from the Camera Roll after the import process is complete will improve your iPhone's backup time. If you want any of the imported photos available on your iPhone for viewing, you can add the photos to an existing iPhoto album already selected to be transferred to your iPhone followed by a sync, or create a new iPhone album for the recently imported photos, select the new iPhoto album under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences followed by a sync.

  • Whenever I try to upload photos into iPhoto, they load but when importing it just stops a picyure or two into it and then just sits there. I can't stop the import so I have to shut off my camera when it is importing and start again. Help?

Whenever I try to upload photos into iPhoto, they load but when importing it just stops a picture or two into it and then just sits there. I can't stop the import so I have to shut off my camera when it is importing and start again. Does anyone know how to fix this?

As a test  launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Tru importing from your camera to it and to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

  • Iphoto faster loading?

why is iphoto faster loading images in full size than aperture?
aperture loads a proxy (lower res) image with the "loading" sign ontop of it and it takes several seconds until the full res high quality is loaded. while in iphoto it's loaded instantly.
any idea why and how i can speed up the loading in aperture?
    thx

What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • IPhone4 App stuck LOADING, wont finish, how to cancel/delete?

I just replaced my iphone 4 today with a new iphone 4.  I restored from backup.  My apps started reloading.  One is stuck LOADING... and wont finish.  I can not delete this app, and it is holding up loading my other apps.  How can I stop this app from loading and get the OS to move on to the next app to reload?

Also, I have reset the phone (home and on/off button pushed).  When the phone comes back up that app is still Loading...  and making no progress.   Can it be cancelled?   Or should I just pitch the damned thing in the ocean?

  • Iphoto not loading and appears to be symptom of another problem

The first problem I had was related to Iphoto not loading - it would just hang with the spinning wheel.
The only way to stop the application was to restart the iMac.
    Version of iphoto is 8.2.1.
I tried to do a "rebuild of the permissions". After 24 hours, I restarted the IMAC as it had the spinning wheel and nothing else. Restart was the only way to get control back.
I took a copy of the Iphoto db at this point. (yes I should have done that first but thought I had a backup ...read on)
I did a "Backup Now" with time machine - after 48 hours it was still spinning the wheel. Only way to stop it was a Restart.
I then looked into some other things
    - it appears that time machine has not backed up for some time. It says it has but I think it is stopping at the iphoto database for some time. ie I am not sure I have a clean backup.
    - at this point I have copied all my files (eg. itunes library etc) to an external drive
    - I can use all other programs successfully
    - I cleaned up some disk space
    - I ran the disk utility to 'Verify Permissions" - see output below
    - I thought it best to try and repair the iphoto database and make sure I still have the photos before I try anything more drastic eg. I am looking to upgrade to a more recent imac anyway
    - I tried to download a later version of iphoto (9.1 and 9.4.1 (?)
    - I came back to find a black screen and everything still whirring away in the background
    - I downloaded iphoto manager - I tried to run but got a "restart your machine panic" message
At this point I am scared to do anything else and make things worse and concerned about the recovering 10 years of photos. I have most of them elsewhere as well, but this could get very messy.
    Any ideas???

Hi, actually more important than Permission Repair, is Disk Repair.
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
    If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
