IPhoto telling me I can't use library and need to update to latest version

I'm using iPhoto v8.1.1 and it's telling me that my library was created with a newer version. Exactly what is the newest version, and if I'm already at it, how to do I fix this?
Is it possible to get my photos out of the library by showing the package contents and then moving them out? Would that mess anything up?
BTW, please keep your answers to the content of the original questions. I've had a lot of people get totally off topic, and never was able to get them back on topic. Thank you.

I found a webpage that said to hold the command and option keys while clicking on iPhoto to load it. It will then bring up a box asking if you want to rebuild items.
This worked and I have access to my photos again. Thank you anyway.

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

Just downloaded beta 4 and get a msg saying does not work on this architecture, I'm on a Mac Powerbook G4 running OS 10.5.8. Can I somehow uninstall and go back to the latest version, without losing all my stored data (bookmarks, etc.) if so how?

That's about it. Whenever I try to launch the beta version I get the won't run on this architecture message.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.
You can re-install Firefox 3.6.15 and it will automatically use your existing bookmarks.

That isn't true. Different SQL databases have
different capabilities and use different syntax, That's true - every database has its own quirks and extensions. No disagreement there. But they all follow ANSI SQL for CRUD operations. Since the OP said they wanted to do INSERTs and UPDATEs in batches, I assumed that ANSI SQL was sufficient.
I'd argue that it's best to use ANSI SQL as much as possible, especially if you want your JDBC code to be portable between databases.

I haven't looked at the MySQL docs to find out how the syntax you're suggesting works. What if one value set INSERT succeeds and the next one fails? Does MySQL roll back the successful INSERT? Is the unit of work under the JDBC driver's control with autoCommit?
The OP is free to follow your suggestion. I'm pointing out that there are transactions for units of work and ANSI SQL ways to accomplish the same thing.

Yes. There is no limit to the number of iPods you can have synced with one iTunes account or library.

Simply, plug new iPod in, configure it to sync with iTunes library however you wish and be on your way.

During runtime, by default, LabVIEW has undo/redo data changes under the edit menu. This will undo/redo changes made to controls during runtime. If you want a more extensive undo/redo (custom for your application), you are going to have to do quite a few things
1) Create a custom runtime menu (Edit>>RunTime Menu) and place your own undo/redo controls on it
2) Keep an action history in your program
3) Catch the Shortcut menu event for your custom undo/redo controls
4) Reverse the last action in your histroy when you catch the event
This method would allow you undo entire operations (like resize, move, or whatever kind of functionality you are building into your application) unstead of just undoing data changes.
