IPhoto using wrong email to "share" photos

Hi there,
I'm using my new macbook, and love it!
BUT, when using iPhoto for the very first time, I wanted to "share" a photo and clicked to email the photo.
I then had options to setup whatever email I had. I opted for the Windows Live Account, but put in the wrong address.
Now each time I try to share a photo by email, it brings up this email account and will not send. iPhoto will not let me edit the email address.
I tried in settings to add the correct account, and it let me, but iPhoto keeps bringing up the incorrect email and not giving me an option of choosing the correct one.

If that is supposed to be funny, it's not.
After INITIALLY setting up the wrong email ([email protected]) in iPhoto, I went into the Settings, Mail, Contacts and Calendars, and tried to setup the correct email ([email protected]).
In the Mail, Contacts and Calendars section, it does not show this incorrect @hotmail account, it only shows the new and correct @msn.com account. So how can I delete the incorrect @hotmail.com account again?
There is NO option in iPhoto to select a different email account, it just opens a "new" email with the incorrect @hotmail.com account, so now I cannot send any photos to anyone via email as this @hotmail.com account doesn't actually exist.
I hope I am making my problem clear, can anyone out there help with this?

Email from iPhoto uses wrong sender address.

When I send an email from iPhoto
an email is generated.
but in the "from" field a wrong email address is placed.
How can I change this into my email address.

iPhoto preferences ==> accounts - delete the incorrect account an enter the correct one - or in the iPhoto preferences set Mail as your email client - it has much better account control and also has a sent mail mailbox

Iphoto cannot open kodak easy share photos. Kodak no longer offers software download

I have old geneology photos that were emailed to me using Kodak Easy Share. They used to be easy to open on the Easy Share website with my Windows system. I now have a MacBook Pro, and Kodak has discontinued offering a downloadable program to open these pics. When I try to open the photos, there is a tiny questionmark instead of the image.
I can't bear the thought that these photos are gone, as I spent enormous time and effort researching the subjects.
Also, my Iphoto program says I need to upgrade my photo library, but also the library won't be readable by older Iphoto programs. ,What about other photo programs (i.e. Photo shop or free photo software).
Obviously, I am a newbie, and trying hard to adjust to the Apple system and would appreciate any help.

Try open those photos with Graphic Coverter - it'll open most everything. When you do save them as Jpeg or Tiff as these are open formats and universally understood.
The Upgrade message is exactly what it says: It upgrades the library to work with the new version of iPhoto. It does nothing to the photographs, it has no implications for Photoshop or any other software.

Used wrong password to send photo in e-mail. How do I fix it?

I am a new mac user and just got a mac recently. I tried to send a photo in an email and when it asked for my email address and password, I mistakenly entered the wrong password and now I can't get it to do anything. I saw this same question somewhere else, and the answer was to to go iphoto preferences and make the change there. But, I can't find any preferences for iphoto anywhere on my computer. Any suggestions? Thanks much.

The path is in iPhoto - iPhoto menu ==> preferences ==> accounts - select the problem account and edit it
also iPhoto has this neat feature called "HELP" - go to the help menu in iPhoto nad type account and select the e-mailing photos entry

IPhoto not launching email when sending photos

After I select photos to email in iPhoto, I hit the email icon and a new email screen doesnt pop up anymore. It used to launch it correctly w/ the photos attached but it has stopped. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Have you checked iPhoto's preferences to make sure there's an email application selected? If there is and it's not working, close iPhoto and delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, located in your User/Library/Preferences folder. Next run Disk Utility and repair disk permissions. Then launch iPhoto and reset your preferences, including the email selection.

Mail using wrong email account as default

I have two email accounts in Mail. The main one and a Google email. Sometimes, when I write a fresh email, it chooses the Gmail account rather than the main account and I accidentally send email out via the wrong account. Why is mail not using the default account for outgoing email and how can I make it?

IPhoto 9.4 - Cannot send/share photos via Outlook 11

Since downloadng iPhoto 9.4,sending photos via Outlook 11 email programme no longer works .
With Outlook as the preferred email programme set in Preferences ,the dialogue box appears and once Compose Message is pressed , it loads ,then nothing happens .
If one sets Mail as your preferred email prograqmme , this works as per normal .
Anyone have a fix??

FYI this is the console log when this fails on my MacBook Pro. When I try this on the working system, nothing gets thrown into console.

Need help, I have used wrong email address for my apple ID

Hi Everyone
I have just received my new IPOD (never used one before) I have set up an apple id using the IPOD but I inputted 1 wrong letter from my email address and I didnt get my verification email to complete set up. I changed my apple ID using my PC but it has not registered on my ipod that Ive updated my ID, now I cant use any apps on the IPOD as it is asking for my password but not the option to change the incorrect email address I submitted originally. Hope this makes sense and that some one can help me :-(

After Yosemite install iPhoto using wrong library.

Recently install Yosemite. It required that I upgrade to the new iPhoto 9.6 as well. After upgrade my current photos are gone. It seems to pulled from an old iPhoto library on an external disk. How do I find and import my current photos into iPhoto?

Have you tried to force quit iPhoto?
shift, command,esc
or force mac to power down?
Hold power button till it turns off.
If either of these don't work, take a trip to the Apple store.

Update application using wrong email account

My son hooked up the ipad to his iTunes account and now I cannot update these programs that were installed since they are associated with his account and I don't want them to be. I addressed the email settings to my own email account and syncs fine with my iTunes and my own applications. Is my only recourse to delete those applications?
I would of assumed that syncing with my own iTunes would of overwritten the previous email accounts but what it seemed to do was to add those applications to my own iTunes but still maintain my sons email account.
Where is this stored? It's certainly no where to be found in Ipad Settings.
Any suggestions?

If you have authorized your computer for his account, you can update his applications by signing in with his Apple ID. You can do this in two places. Easiest for me is to click 'Applications' on the left side of the iTunes screen. Select check for updates and look at the top right of the screen and check which Apple ID is signed in. Click on that ID to sign in with his Apple ID. You may be asked for his account info including Credit card info. After verifying that, 'check for updates' in Applications and sync.

I updated my IPad to the new 7 version. My iCloud account on iPad using wrong email/ iCloud account info.

I updated my iPad to the 7 version.
In iCloud my apple ID is old, and I went to update.
Which is by deleting the iCloud account, however when I go to delete account.
It prompts me to enter my password for my old Apple ID and not allowing me to delete account.
I did try to enter info for old account to see if it would work. But it does not.
I get the message need to enter password required to turn off "find my iPad"

If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You should then be able to turn off Find My iPhone with your password. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back and change your primary email address and iCloud ID back to the way it was. You will then be able to go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current ID and password to reconnect to your iCloud account.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to get them to reset the password for it so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account. You will have to prove your identity to them in order to do so. You can either contact iTunes support for assistance with this (https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html), or contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).
