IPhoto was there and now is gone.
At one point I had iPhoto on my mac. Unfortunately my hard drive became corrupted somehow and I had to buy another one.I loaded it with a version of iOS I'm not exactly sure which exact one it was but it was definitely an older one. When I transferred my files from one hard drive to the other I realized that iPhoto isn't there. So then I updated my computer to Mavericks hoping it was miraculously gonna end up popping up but that didn't help. My question is do I now have to buy another version from the App store or is there a way to somehow claim the one I already had?
iOS is the operating systems for iPhones and iPads. You don't have iOS on your Mac. You have some version of OS X.
iPhoto is not part of the OS. As the machine came with an older OS, whatever version of iPhoto you have was on an installer disk you got with the machine. If you don't have that disk you'll need to purchase iPhoto 11 on the Mac App Store.

HP 1280 support it was there and now its gone!
this is really frustrating me. A couple of months ago I used my 1280 with 10.6, infact I had moved the imac too 10.6 as soon as a driver for my HP became available and I was delighted to have it all working. I printed a lot of A3 for a a project I was working on.
I then unplugged it and put it away.
I have plugged it back in and for what ever reason its not in the printers list so I went to add it again, and all I get is PCL driver??
So I dig around and downloaded from the apple site the entire HP driver package, plugged the printer back in and all I get is PCL driver. This driver is useless you cannot set print quality with it.
I 100% had a working driver from apple for the 1280, I did not imagine it! It was the 1280 driver and had all the print settings for the 1280. So why can it not be found now?
Message was edited by: Gary iI found it in the end. I had to download another printer update package which refused to install as my computer 'did not meet the requirements'
So I extracted the HP package using pacifist and replaced it in the libraries>printers folder and it showed up straight away.

My iphoto was rebuilding and now all my pictures are gone
so tonight i ws trying to open my iphoto and it said it had to rebuild well i have a lot of picture and it was going on all day maybe 8hours and then it just stop well then i just froced quit, now when i reopen iphoto it act like i have never used it before and now all my pictures are gone is there any way to get them all back and i haven't use my time machine in awhile because i real didn't know what it does is there any way anyone can help me it all my family pictures for the last 3 years and it all my sons pictures i need them back
worst case is that you have to control click on iphoto library and choose show package contents then you should be able to find all your photos under under masters where the photos are sorted by year i hope this helps and that you havent lost any photos

It was there and now it's gone
I had a site, was using my sister's dot mac. It published fine. I got my own trial account, site was still publishing to my sister's. Did a ton of updating yesterday, saved site in file with name other than domain, worked great, people tested, worked great. Opened it today in iweb and it's the old one. I can find my folder for the new one with the new name but if I click on it I get the old one. I can still see my new one online but I haven't republished the site on iweb (cuz it's the old one). I want my work back. Where is it? I tried spotlight to search for a name that was only on the updated one and it pulls up the file but when I open, it's the old one.
I think you may find that the domain.sites2 file in the User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder will hold your edited site as Roddy suggested. I vaguely remember reading that if one opened a site that was outside that folder, edited and then saved the saved version would revert to the iWeb folder as domain.sites2.
OT -
a update version of firefox came up.. tellingme to update to new version of firefox. So I did.. it loaded the current version. I always have my 'history' showing. (in the VIEW title on top of screen I go to SIDEBAR, and have history showing. It is on the lest side of screen at all times. I have so many sites and all my research there.. when I updated in was gone.. I need it back.. PLEASE HELP ME... ANYBODY....

I had Iphoto 08 and now is gone, I have looked under applications and is not there. Also most of the pictures are gone. Can you easily delete the application?

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List. -

No it's not possible - currently you can only buy ibooks on your own account, and they will remain tied to your account, you can't gift or transfer them to another account.

I just created a new iPhoto library with holding the option key down and then opening iPhoto with version 7.1.5. I changed the name of the first library to iPhoto library 1 and now I all my photos are gone. My operating system is Mavericks.
launch iPhoto wile holding down the option key and select the original library - when you create a new library of course it is empty
And you seriously need to backup your iPhoto library and purchase and install iPhoto '11 version 9.5.x from the App store and download and run the iPhoto library upgraded \then run the new iPhoto - 7.1.5 is not fully compatible with Mavericks

If the old laptop was a mac also, then use your Time Machine backup to restore you user settings and files.

If you either updated to Mountain Lion or updated to Safari 6 under Lion then there is a unified URL address bar with the search. I personally don't like it either.

Good morning. Getting notifications that you are close to exceeding your allowance can certainly be alarming. It would be my pleasure to help put your mind at ease.
I understand you are not streaming movies, music, etc. Which these features will use a lot of data. Are you using the Mobile Hotspot on your phone. This may also cause you to exceed your data allowance quickly if you do not power if off after you are done using the feature. To turn off mobile hostpot tap settings>general>personal hotspot>off. Do you have any third party applications that you have installed that may be running a lot of data?
To ensure applications are not consistently running in the background do the following press the menu button at the bottom of your phone twice. All the open apps will then appear. Select and hold the bottom of the screen. A minus sign will then appear in the top left of each app. Select each minus sign to close out the application.

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what were you doing when iPhoto closed unexpectedly?
how big is your library, i.e. how many photos?
how long has the rebuilding been going on?
do you have a recent backup of the library made just prior to this occurring?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive? -
