IPhoto won't burn, says Disc Full, but iTunes and others can
When I put in a blank CD, iPhoto sees it but then says "Disc Full",
other can can burn CDs off this same machine, so its an iPhoto or a firmware issue,
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Mac not reading Disc full of .VOB and other DVD files
Hi all! I wasn't sure where to put this so here I am.
I'm currently transferring old VHS cassettes to DVD-R using the Sony RDR VX530. The disc plays in the Sony. I finalize it and take all appropriate steps. When I insert the DVD-R into my MacBook, it says "Burnable Disc" and shows no files. None at all. I took the disc to my sister's house and put the disc in her Windows laptop and ::BAM:: all the files were there and playable on the windows machine. What gives? I can put other dvds in the drive and see the Video_TS and Audio_TS files, but not the ones I record on this machine. The machine only has two recording options, VR and Video, both of which have to be finalized. Is there a solution besides me having to go borrow a windows laptop to connect to the network so I can pull the .vob files onto my mac?It sounds to me like you didn't finalize your DVD!
Most DVD recorders and DVD cameras don't finalize the DVD until you specifically tell them to. This finishes writing things like file system information on to the disk but it also makes it so that more data cannot be written to the disk in the future. (This is why it doesn't do it until you tell it to).
Some Windows computers have software that allows them to read disks that haven't been finalized yet. I actually think its a feature of Vista and 7 but I'm not sure about that. Either way, look in your DVD recorder's manual about finalizing the disk to get it to work on your Mac.

IPhoto '11- super drive failed. It won't burn to disc.
iPhoto '11 won't burn to disc...says super drive failed. It goes through preparing to burn and then, immediately shows "finished" and spits out the disc. I had just finished burning another successfully. I talked with apple and we repaired permissions for iPhoto. It worked fine during the test, but didn't after that.

SheilaYes. Successfully burned to a disc. Not only is it doing that from the top tool bar menu, but the information it shows at the bottom of the screen (MG for the burn and how full the disc is) is not accurate. The iPhoto info shows 3.7 MG for the pictures selected, but the burn info at the bottom shows some other amount and says not enough space on the disc. And I'm using a 4.7MG DVD! So, now, I'm just making a burn file on my desktop and burning the disc from there. It works fine. However, I'd still like my iPhoto program to be working the way it's supposed to, so I can use it that way.

Since I updated my itunes I can no longer burn a playlist to disc using MP3 format. I clicked on converting the songs to mp3 format but they still won't burn to disc. The computer says it is checking media and then stops.
same problem. Im using itunes version 10.6.3, I converted wavs burnt from cd, to mp3 using itunes, these were NOT PURCHASED from itunes, and when I try to burn an mp3 cd using the new mp3 files, they convert to wavs before my eyes every time i create a new playlist of the mp3. The mp3 revert to wav within less than 30 seconds. As if itunes is saying, let me help, I substitute the higher quality 1411 wav files for you. And of course, now they wont burn to mp3, because "they must be converted to mp3 first" before burning.
But every list of the mp3 version of the files keeps reverting to 1411 wav files?

when exporting slideshow from iphoto to idvd /message says" disc is full" It is a new mac with 2gb extra memory. I have cleared out all extraneous files, so there should be room on the disc. Help, this is a student''s work and would love to help them burn the dvd slideshow.

IS this your Hard Disk is full?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of HD space to function normally. It uses this space for things like Virtual Memory and temporary files and other OS operations.

First, try the automated fixit from Microsoft on the link below.
Windows 7
Check if the drive will now burn a disc.
If it still doesn't work, click the Start Menu, open All Programs, open Accessories, right click the Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator'. In to the prompt type the following command and hit enter.
sfc /scannow ( note that there is a space between sfc and the / )
Let the process complete, then type exit and hit enter.
Next, click the Start Menu, open the Control Panel and click on Device Manager. Next click to open DVD/CD-ROM Drives. Right click the drive and select uninstall. Do not delete drivers if asked. When the device has uninstalled click on the 'Scan for Hardware Changes' icon ( usually just below Help on the toolbar ). Let windows reinstall the drive and see if it is now able to burn a disc.

2). Download and install the 9.3 Update http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1545

Computer says iPod is there, but iTunes and Windows won't recognize it
I've had a 60GB ipod photo for about 4 years and it has served me well. This morning the iPod froze in the middle of a song. I hit reset, and it came back blank - all the files were gone. When I got to work and hooked it up to my computer, iTunes and Windows can't recognize it, but I can find it in device manager - which means I couldn't do restore.
I hit reset a few more times, changed USB ports and, somewhat miraculously, the iPod came back, complete with all files. On the way home from work it happened again and I haven't been so lucky.
I forced it into disk mode and iTunes recognized it, but told me it was corrupt. I also received a computer sound card error - my sound card was busy, and an error stating that audio/video playback could be limited. I tried restore, but I received the unknown error. I'm using the latest version of iTunes and I'm all out of ideas.
Any suggestions or should I put this iPod to rest and save up to buy a new one?
ThanksThe most likely problem is that the hard drive in the iPod is becoming unreliable. It may be experiencing sticktion, which is friction that makes the spinning platter stick and the motor cannot get it spinning. The iPod is regularly spinning the hard drive up, to cache songs into memory, and then spinning it down, to save power. If the drive was not able to spin up when commanded (in the middle of a song), the iPod would seem to lock up. Later, bumping the iPod may make the hard drive spin again, so it seems to work again, at least for a while.
If this the the problem, the only way to fix it would be to replace the hard drive inside.
You might try reformatting the iPod using Windows, if you can get it to appear in a My Computer or Windows Explorer window. Use a full format instead of a quick format. If that process competes successfully, run iTunes and try using Restore again to install and initialize the iPod's software.
If formatting does not compete successfully, it may be time for that new iPod.
You can do some experimenting on the old iPod, if you're into such things. I have successfully installed a compact flash card (through an adapter), inside a 4th gen iPod as a replacement for the hard drive. It is only 4GB at the moment, but CF cards up to 16GB are getting relatively cheap, so I might get one of those and start using by old broken 4G iPod again, +now with shock-resistant energy-saving flash-based storage+. -
I am trying to sync my iPhoto to my iPad from my Mac but iTunes keeps telling me that my iPhoto Library can't be found. I obviously can see that I have many photos and events so I am not sure why I'm getting this message.I have all the current software and have been playing around with it for hours and can't figure out the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I recently updated my iphone 5 to IOS 8.0.2 and now it wont turn on it just says to connect to itunes and when i do the only option it gives me is to restore iphone because it is in "recovery mode". It says it will delete all my media but i didn't do a back up and i don't want to lose my photos, what should i do? (I never used iCloud to back them up either).
If it's in recovery mode, the data is already gone. Why did you never back up your important data?

My iPad mini says to connect to iTunes, and I try to restore it, but after its done extracting a message comes up saying that device is not found, is there anyway i can fix this? I don't care if i don't get my stuff back, i just want my iPad restored to its starting settings.
If everything else that you try fails, I would try using another computer. Since you don't care about saving any data, any computer that is running the latest version of iTunes might be able to restore the iPad. You could make an appointment at an Apple Store Genius Bar and they can do it for you.
If that isn't feasible for you, try using a different cable, a different USB port. reboot the computer, and reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Then try again. -
my iPod says to connect to iTunes, and then it crashes, error 3014, I've tried everything it says that might solve the error but nothing
Not knowing what everything is:
Error 3194, Error 17, or "This device isn't eligible for the requested build" - Apple Support
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I verified my email but ipod touch says not verified, I go to redo and its says already verified but Itunes still shows it needs to be verified. I was in the process of creating a new Apple ID for my touch.
Please go to Settings>Itunes and App Store and log out of your Apple id and right back in again. See if this doesn't resolve this issue.

I just downloaded iTunes 9 and i do not want to upgrade any further, so when i plug in my iPhone iPhoto recognizes it as a iPhone/camera but iTunes does not recognize it. any help would be appreciated.
