Iphoto won't display Portrait Orientated images, how can i fix this?

Iphoto'11 on latest OS wont display Portrait Orientated images, only just occured and only shows the image when in 'EDIT'. how can i remedy my thumbnails as it wont allow me to print anything but a blank screen

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

If you did not create this swf yourself then you won't be able to do what I am suggesting. If you did, then open the fla in Flash and go into the Publish Settings and select the option to publish an html file as an output. That will create an html page that embeds the Flash file. Test that file in your browser and see if it plays properly. IF so, then copy that code in place of whatever Dreamweaver did to embed the Flash.
Dreamweaver is not a reliable tool for embedding Flash content... why it does not do it the same way Flash does it is anyone's guess.

HT4178 Mac server OSX 10.8.2 Netistall doesn't have image, how can I fix this?

I tried to switch on Netinstall on just on just brand new Apple mini server, all the data have filed and green light is on, except of Netinstall which requesting me to add an image and file in the library/netboot/ is empty for that. If even I try to add it on the NEtinstall page, there small gear tab blanked and cn not modified at all whatever I did, I have not modified any thing there - so that is suprice why on the new apple happening with me that, may be a problem in a software or I just don't know somne thing. You need to create a NetInstall image using System Image Utility. You can launch it from the "Tools" menu of Server.app.
To use System Image Utility, you will need an installed volume, or an Install Mac OS X application from the Mac App Store.

Processing in camera raw creates diagonal bands on image - how can I fix this?

I have Photoshop Elements 11 on a Mac running 10.6.8. I have been taking raw images on a Canon T3i and processing them in camera raw at 16-bit and then fine-tuning in the editor with no problems until this week. Now when I process an image and open it in the editor, the image has diagonal bands across the whole thing. The image is still visible through the lines - they appear as distortions or noise. If I zoom in or out the bands are not visible, so I initially thought it was an odd viewing-only problem. However when I save my edited image in various jpg sizes/resolutions the bands are still visible.
I tried working with photos taken on different days and that didn't make a difference. I tried restarting - no difference. I tried resetting any preferences I may have changed - no difference. I tried adding noise to the photo because I found mentions of banding in areas of low contrast that needed noise to reduce banding - no difference. I tried not changing a single setting in CR and processing - no difference. I updated the CR plugin to 7.4.0.137 - no difference. When I run the software updater in elements it says my software is up to date. I am out of ideas except for reinstalling the entire program.
I have attached screen grabs to show the problem I am having. On the top is what an image looks like in CR. On the bottom is the same image after it is opened in the editor. When I enlarge the image the lines are no longer visible, but when I save the image as a jpg the lines are visible in the jpg.
Any ideas as to what the problem is?

Everytime I try to sign in it won't recognize the switch. I have updated all the proper information on my iphone, however, when updating apps it still shows my apple id as my email address and not the mobile me account address. Where are you trying to log in? You should be able to change your ID at http://appleid.apple.com - can you log in there?
Before you change your ID you should log out of the iTunes Store and on any devices which are logged into iCloud. Then once you've changed it you can log back in with the new ID. (Your iCloud synced data will disappear from the device when you do this but will reappear when you sign back in - give it time).

yes its an animated GIF
the GIF shows up as a regular picture, but no animation occurs.
By your post, I'm assuming the iPod does not play GIFS, but lets you just look at it as a regular picture?

Normally when you're finished uploading a selection of pictures to iPhoto, a screen pops up asking if you want to delete the recent import of pictures [from the SD card] but my iPhoto is no longer asking me. Never let your computer erase data without you first checking that the data is safe. Specifically never use iPhoto (or any other app) to delete the photos from your Camera Card. Disconnect the camera, check the transfer has gone correctly and then use your Camera to Reformat the Card. This has three advantages:
1. You know your data is safe - because you've taken the time to check it.
2. Reformatting the card is much, much faster - takes a couple of seconds
3. Reformatting also refreshes the Directory Structure on the Card, helping prevent issues with the card and prolonging its life.

how much free space on your boot drive?
