IPhoto won't order prints

I'm trying to order prints of images. I select the images, sizes, and quantities and click "Buy Now". I am then prompted that my browser session has ended or is no longer valid. I'm not using a browser. I'm in iPhoto. If I go online to the apple store to look at my account. I can log in without any problem as well as this support community. The prompt tells me that I can continue to checkout by clicking on Return to Checkout. Well, there is no return to checkout button just a close.
I'm starting to think that Apple products are slowly starting to just not work.
Anyone have any ideas or same experience?

I got the solution: iPhoto is using Safari in order to place orders. Thus, you have to enable cookies in Safari (worked for me) and/or check for any other problems with Safari.
Good Luck!

  • Iphoto 6 cannot order prints

    My Mom has an eMac running tiger and she is using iPhoto 6. She tried to order prints from Apple Photo Service, but was told she needed to upgrade. My question is what version does she need to upgrade to in order to get prints. I doubt that her machine could handle iPhoto 11 and it would also be too radical a change for her.
    Thanks

    Here are the system requirements for iLife 08:
    Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 processor
    iMovie ’08 requires a Mac computer with an Intel processor, a Power Mac G5 (dual 2.0 GHz or faster), or an iMac G5 (1.9 GHz or faster)
    iDVD ’08 requires 733MHz or faster processor
    512 MB of RAM; 1 GB recommended; high-definition video requires at least 1 GB of RAM
    3 GB of available disk space
    DVD drive required for installation
    See this article for information about Quartz Extreme-compatible graphics cards.
    Software
    Mac OS X v10.4.9 or later
    QuickTime 7.2 or later
    You mom probably could run iLife 08 except for iMovie (it's best to keep iMovie 6 HD as it's far better than the newer versions).  The first eMac would not be able to run iDVD. You can get used copies from Amazon.com for around $20.  eBay has them for as low as $13 (new, sealed).

  • Ordering Prints via Iphoto

    I am absolutely loving my new Imac. I have saved for over a year to get it and just now getting used to Iphoto. I noticed that it gives you the option to create photo books and to order prints of photos.
    I see how to select photos to order prints of and I see how to select the sizes of the prints. Is there a way to preview how the photo will look when printed? The reason why I ask is that programs usually crop for 8x10 prints versus 4x6 etc. Is there a way for me to see how it will be cropped?
    Also, I don't see that 11x14's are not a size option?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Is there a way to preview how the photo will look when printed?
    No.  But crop your photos to the same size ratio as the prints you're ordering or it will be done automatically and you may lose some parts that you don't won't to lose.

  • HT1044 Will an iphoto order print with low quality warnings on it?

    Will an iphoto order print with low quality warnings on it?

    I think so but if you're orderikng large photos they may be a bit fuzzy depending on the pixel dimensions. What are the pixel dimensions of the image giving the warning and what size print are you ordering?
    Here are the results of a print test that I ran.  The pixel dimensions are the minimum that won't give a warning for the sizes shown:

  • Re iphoto: when I double click on a thumbnail i get e grey screen with exclamation mark..can't access my photos to edit, order prints etc

    Was wondering if anyone can help...I am not very computer friendly but want to be able to edit my photos, use them as jpegs, order prints etc. When I double click on a thumbnail ( am presuming the thumbnails are the small photos ) I get a grey screen with an exclamation mark on it. I cannot drag the thumbnail onto the desk top it just pings back. This doesn't happen with all the thumbnails and has been a problem since we upgraded to snowleopard. I recently reinstalled photos from the memory card from my camera and they are alright. I am presuming that the old photos are stuck in there somewhere if only I knew the right buttons to press to get them out. Thanks, Jane Thomas

    Easiest: Restore from your back up.
    Otherwise:
    Try these in order - from best option on down...
    1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
    2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
    To create and populate a new *iPhoto 6* library:
    Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
    Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
    Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
    Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
    When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
    In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

  • How to hold several photos in the "order print" function of iPhoto?  I only get one at a time.

    I cannot get more than one photo to appear in the "order prints" section of iPhoto at a time.  How do I move several photos over to order prints?

    What is your iPhoto verstion? Assuming you are having the latest version on your new mac, it should work like this:
    Select all photos at once in the event or album.
    With the photos selected, use the command "File > Order Prints" from the main menu bar.
    What happens, when you try that?

  • I have a Mac OSx 10.6.8 and iPhoto 7.1.5 and can no longer order printed photo albums unless i install new version of iPhoto. But reviews of new iPhoto so negative. Should I install it or steer clear of it??

    I have a Mac OSx 10.6.8 and iPhoto 7.1.5 and can no longer order printed photo albums unless I update to new version of iPhoto. But reviews of new iPhoto are so negative that I am uncomfortable about buying it. Will it be fine or should I steer clear of trouble and accept that i can no longer publish my photos?

    iPhoto '11 is working well.
    The reviews usually only show the comments of people who do not like the changed features.
    To get an idea what to expect, when you upgrade, look at the iPhoto '11 support sites.

  • Iphoto won't let me print a landscape photo

    iphoto won't let me print a landscape photo this is what it is doing when i go to print and it is driving me mad pleaseeee help

    That means your original library is damaged and requires first aid.  Do the following:
    1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window. Be sure to follow the circled recommendation in the screenshot.
    2 - run Option #4, Rebuild Database.

  • Unable to order prints anymore... weird iPhoto error

    Hey there,
    I'm unable to order prints from iPhoto anymore, it started before the 8.1.1 update. When I start to upload photos to the Kodak server, after 2Mo is transmitted it bugs. In the console I have the following mysterious error :
    25/11/09 23:11:00 iPhoto[6419] PUT /Documents/49519329/image_0.jpg (FAILED), httpStatusCode:402, errorType:100, transactionState:5, txnId:A749349E-5655-4459-8EC0-E92E465EC788, auto-retries=0, manual-retries=0
    25/11/09 23:11:00 iPhoto[6419] ISCoordinator responseFromUploadFiles: error...
    MessengerContext = <ISNewMessengerContext: 0x199b9fa0>;
    Retry = YES;
    Status = ERROR;
    StatusCode = 402;
    }

    I wondered, reading the output from the Error you posted, if it was having trouble finding particular photos:
    /Documents/49519329/image_0.jpg (FAILED)
    How are you uploading to the Kodak Server? With an app, a plugin to iPhoto, some other way?
    Regards

  • Problem with ordering prints off iPhoto

    Previously I had been able to order prints directly from iPhoto.  When I tried today I kept getting the message "review account info", which I did.  Billing, shipping, cc info is all correct.  When I submit the order I just keep receiving the same message.  I am currently using iPhoto 08 - 7.1.5.  Is this outdated already?

    No iPhoto '08 is not outdated - go to your account in the Apple store and re-enter (do not just verify) all of the information and try again

  • Ordering Prints with iPhoto 9 (iLife '11)

    Can anyone tell me if the version of iPhoto (9) included with iLife '11 still supports ordering prints? Thanks for your help. Best regards, Dan

    Yes.  But I would update the version installed by the iLife 11 disk to the latest version of iPhoto 11 which is 9.4.3 for running your library.  A number of fixes and changes were made between 9.0 and 9.4.3.

  • Iphoto won't print.  Never had a problem before.

    iphoto won't print.  I get the spinning wheel.  Repaired disk thinks I have Epson...?  I have HD and a Canon.  Can you help me?

    Go to the System/Printers & Scanners preference pane and remove the printerd that str there.  Then add it back and try again. If that fails try what's discussed in this Apple document:   OS X Yosemite: Reset the printing system

  • Unable to order prints on iPhoto

    I had been using my old Mac for years to order prints from iPhoto with no problems. Late last year, I upgraded my Mac to a 24" iMac with the newest version of iPhoto. Since I've had this machine, I've had trouble ordering prints. It usually gets partway through the process and then just hangs up. I've called tech support a few times, and they even referred this problem to Apple engineering since apparently a number of people have had this problem. Even after I followed the instructions to try to correct the problem from Apple's engineering group, it still doesn't work. This is one of the main things we use the computer for and we're very disappointed.
    Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Are there any other photo services that are cost effective and link directly to iPhoto?

    I have a similar issue lately. When trying to order 130 4x6 prints the upload process dies after 10-12 photos and there is nothing you can do about it. The retry function does not restart the upload, it just hangs.
    When using Activity Monitor to monitor the upload speed (I am on COMCAST cable) I see 45-50kB/s for the first 10 pics and then it dies - goes to 0 - unless you do something else on the computer that touches the network.
    No other app is having network or internet connectivity problems.
    Part of the problem might be the fact that the ever increasing file sizes are making the uploads slower and slower. Those 130 pics of mine are 230MB+ and thats just from a small 6MP point and shoot Canon camera.
    Iphoto realy needs a much more robust upload and reststart logic. Like iTunes that can download songs and video in pieces and restarts as often as you want wherever it left of, iPhoto needs a similar function to deal with larger uploads.
    Now the first attempt to fix the issue is to go break the order into 10 individual orders - only problem: Instead of paid 9.99 for express shipping you pay a total of 99.90 for shipping as every order has an individual shipping charge.
    Any ideas for a work around?

  • Unable to order prints through iphoto

    I am unable to order prints through iphoto. Everytime I try to download and order with 1-click it starts downloading and then says there is a problem with one of my files. Is my order too large (over 500 megabits)? Are certain files to large? Some of my files are in the RAW format or were taken in RAW format. I have tried leaving out photos that have the RAW title showing in iphoto and still no luck. Some of the files, even though noted as jpeg files are 4+megs. Does anyone have an idea on what is going on? I am using the latest iphoto which is 6.04.
