Iphoto won't print color?

Hello,
I am having difficult time printing color from iphoto or JPAC i really don't know what the issue is , this Mac computer has been plugged to xerox printer for the past 2 years or so and i never experienced such problem before. It print PDF in color. could you please help me with this issue it really is urgent
Thank you very much

It sounds like you have your print settings set to print in Greyscale instead of color.  The specific settings will vary from printer to printer, but look under properties (or something like that) for greyscale.
iPhoto prints fine in color.

iphoto won't print.  I get the spinning wheel.  Repaired disk thinks I have Epson...?  I have HD and a Canon.  Can you help me?

Go to the System/Printers & Scanners preference pane and remove the printerd that str there.  Then add it back and try again. If that fails try what's discussed in this Apple document:   OS X Yosemite: Reset the printing system

  • Won't print color

    1) I was given this printer as a gift about four years ago. The first time I got the "Low Ink"message,  I replaced fhe cartridges. Now it always tells me I'm low on ink, even after I've installed new cartidges.
    2) Just installed a new set of cartridges which, as you know, are exorbitantly expensive. And now it won't print color.

    Hello CaptianFly,
May i know the printer model# / description to assist you better ?

  • IPhoto won't print

This issue began a more major problem in which all of my wife's pictures disappeared. That's been solved, and the pictures are back. In order to keep that thread from becoming too long and complicated I'm reposting in this new thread the original problem.
A couple of days ago my wife did the automatic update to iPhoto 6.0.6. Following that it ceased printing on our Epson Stylus CX4200. Other programs print normally; it is only iPhoto that has a problem. I have downloaded all the latest drivers from Epson, but it hasn't helped. My own two computers also won't print from iPhoto, though I haven't updated their drivers.
    I just identified that it will print 8.5 x 11 paper, but it won't print 4 x 6 photos.

I didn't get any replies to this problem, but eventually I was able to figure out the fix. I'll post it here in case someone else runs into this problem.
The printer instruction manual (PDF file) explains how to delete the printer drivers and reinstall. It also explains how to delete and reinstall the program that controls the scanning function (that had also quit working). When I got through deleting and reinstalling everything worked again.
Downloading updated drivers from the company that made the printer often fixes this kind of problem, but not in this case. Reinstalling the older drivers that came with the printer did the trick.

I have owned the MX922 for over a year. It's worked ok until a few days ago. Suddenly, it won't print in color.  The ink cartridges are not empty. What can I do?

Make sure that the machine is turned on.2. Load a sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder or the Cassette.3. Open the Paper Output Tray and then open the Output Tray Extension.4. To print the nozzle check pattern:4-1. Press the MENU button.4-2. Press the Setup button.4-3. Select Maintenance, then press the OK button. The Maintenance screen is displayed.4-4. Select Print nozzle check pattern and then press the OK button. The pattern print confirmation screen is displayed.4-5. Select Yes and then press the OK button. The nozzle check pattern is printed and the pattern confirmation screens are displayed alternately. Please compare your printout to the example that has been attached to this message. If they differ, perform a few cleanings. Please perform the following steps to perform a Cleaning: 1. • HP2550n Color Laser Jet won't print colors correctly in Win 7

This printer is an oldie but a goodie, and I don't want to buy a new one, just because I upgraded to Windows7 Pro 64 bit.
I tried the Unviersal Driver, then the Post Script version, which is better than PCL6, but still not perfect like it was with XP Pro.   Still have pronblems printing colors from Acrobat XI documents - color pictures just print all in soid red.  MS office docs print fine.
Is there not a driver that will make this printer work right in Win 7 Pro ???

  • Won't Print Color After Operating System Upgrade

Within the last year I purchased a LaserJet CP1525nw color, and I recently upgraded to Windows 7 32-bit and now I can't print color.  I've tried loading the driver from the CD that originally came with the print and I get an error message saying that it can not install the driver.  I've looked on the HP website to see if there are any updates for this printer and I can't seem to find any.  I was able to find a list of devices that are supported by Windows 7, and a list of devices that are not supported by Windows 7 and my printer was not on either list.
I'm wondering if there is anything that I've missed as far as fixes or updates for this problem, or am I just out of luck with wanting to print color with this printer now that I've upgraded to Windows 7.

    Hi Akfshslyr,
Try installing the full feature software and driver for this printer.

  • HP D2400 won't print Color to Airport Express

I have a new MacBook running 10.5 with Airport express. Everything setup fine with the airport for network and audio. I plugged in the HP printer and if found it fine, but won't print anything other than grayscale. I have since found on the HP boards that HP says this printer is not networkable. Any idea what I might try?

    Use the process outlined here:

  • Iphoto won't print to Epson Photomate Delux

I can print to my Epson Photomate Delux using PREVIEW and from PHOTOSHOP, but NOT from iphoto. When I try to print from iphoto, the pics go on hold in the print box. I have tried to hit RESUME, but it just goes back on hold. One other thing, the pics that load from PS or PREVIEW show their names, but the ones that import from iphoto all say "untitled."
Why can't iphoto talk to my printer? It used to work (I haven't used the printer in several months). I've downloaded new drivers, restarted everything, blah, blah, blah...all to the same result. Any thoughts? I'm plugged in using a USB cable.
    Thanks

One more thing, if the queue is stalled with multiple pics from different programs (PS, PREVIERW, ihphoto) printing will begin again after I delete the "untitled" pics from iphoto.
    Thanks.

  • InDesign won't print colors in text boxes

I have been working on a newsletter that includes some charts and tables in it. I put the tables and charts in a text box, and then added a background fill color to it. I exported the document to PDF, and the colors showed up there fine.
The trouble occurs when I try to print the document. The fill color in the box does not show up at all. What can I do to fix that. Thanks for the help.

This sounds more like an issue with the printer driver and the PDF than an InDesign issue, but one way to test would be to try to print direct from ID. Do the colors print correctly then?
What do you see in Acrobat when you turn on Overprint Preview? Is the color still there?
Can you post this PDF on a server someplace so we can download and test it?

  • Indesign CC won't print color while exported pdf from the same document can!

    Hello,
I tried everything I know. Even reseting indesign..
As I mentioned in the title, when I try the pdf file that I exported from indesign it just works fine.
And  I have no problem printing with color in Illustrator, Photoshop or any other softwares but Indesign.
    Do I miss something?

I'm sorry to say, but I think it's probably a printer driver problem. Unfortunately, HP printer drivers have poor performance with Adobe InDesign. Do make sure you have to latest printer driver version, however.

  • 3310 all in one won't print colors correctly

I've cleaned printhead lots of times and print self test.  The print quality pattern is only printing black color bar (it looks gray) and Yellow (which looks green).  None of the other boxes print.  All ink is genuine HP (always has been) and are not expired.  HELP.  Thanks.

    Hi ljwzx,
Can you print the self test page from the printer?

  • Photosmart 7520 won't print color

I just purchased my Photosmart 7520 tonight.  I can not get the color or photo black cartridge to print.  The ink levels are showing as dropping but the paper/photo paper comes out blank!  I can print a plain black & white document with no color, but anytime I introduce color I get nothing.  Even the alignment page does not have color on it.  Help! I'm so frustrated and don't want to continue to waste ink printing air!

  • IPhoto won't print in portrait

When i select a portrait photo the preview on the right shows the correct orientation, but when i click print the full print preview (and then the printout) has turned to landscape trimming the top and bottom off the photo. This has only happened since Yosemite.

That means the problem is in your account.  It could be a corrupted preference file other than iPhoto's that's interfering with the printing.  Here's how to test for that:
    Trouble Shooting Preferences
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
If you're running Mavericks, 10.9,  go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
    1 - close all applications.
2 - open your Home/Library folder and Option-drag (copy) the Preferences folder to the Desktop.
3 - select the contents of your Home/Library/Preferences folder and drag them into the Trash bin in the Dock.  You will be asked to provide your Admin password.
4 - reboot. Be sure to know your account's username and password as you will be asked to log in with it.
5 - run the application again and determine if the problem(s) is fixed.
6 - If the problem is fixed:
    A - open the working Home/Library/Preferences folder.
B - Open the Preferences  folder on the Desktop, select all of the contents and drag them into the working Home/Library/Preferences folder.
C - When the Copy window pops up check the "Apply to All" check box and then click on the Don't Replace or Skip button.
    D - reboot.
7 - If the problem is NOT fixed, drag the contents of the Preference folder on the Desktop into the Home/Library/Preference folder and replace the entire contents that were created by clicking on Replace.
8 - reboot and you're back as square one.
Note:  keep the Preference folder on the desktop until you're sure all registration info for your apps are working.  If not you can copy the required files from the desktop pref folder to the working one.
