Iphoto11 getting stuck when loading photos

I own a Nikon Coolpix P2. I use the USB cord that came with it to connect it to my mac, so I can import the photos into iTunes. Everytime I connect the camera, iphoto opens and appears to import the photos, but gets stuck. All i have is a blank screen that says new photos, loading... and a spinning beachball. It doesn't matter how long i leave the camera connected, nothing further happens.
I have upgraded to Lion, I have the most up to date software available, so I've no clue why nothing is working. Has anyone else had this problem, and more to the point, can anyone help? I have important photos that I'd like to get off my camera.

My printer has a card reader, and using that I've been able to import the photos. I didn't try image capture as the battery for the camera had gone flat! But I will give that a try too.
I still wish I knew why the photos won't import when connected directly to my mac, but it is great that I can import the images in another way.

Windows phone 8.1 spotify gets stuck when loading the app.

Spotify's Windows Phone app is embarrasing. I received "support" from them a couple of weeks ago regarding this issue on Twitter. While they were resposive, they simply suggested the "uninstall, reboot & reinstall" trick. That worked for about 24 hours, then nothing but dots for the songs in my playlists - after they take forever to load up. Those same playlists load instantly on my iPad. Spotify - Sure, the Windows Phone market isn't huge compared to your iOS and Android customer base. However, by releasing an app that gives the user - paid users (like me) - a horrible experience, you will lose those customers to an alternate service. Because of this lack of support and caring, I will likely move my paid subscription (and my two family memebers) to a different service that works properly on ALL devices. Maybe I will revisit this service once you have a good universal Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile app (see my other rant: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/Windows-8-Metro-App/idc-p/1141848#M37322 ). IPhoto stuck on "Loading photos"

Hi everybody! Hope you can help me. Once I click on iPhoto it opens iPhoto window, but just gets stuck staying "Loading photos" with a wheel that just keeps turning. Im using iPhoto version 6.0.6. The last thing I did using this program was to upload pictures. I left iPhoto on all night, but still found it saying "Loading photos" the next morning. Also tried to look through others posts, but my iPhoto version seems newer than theirs. Would appreciate your help. Thanks

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. If smtr's suggestion doesn't not clear up the problem try deleting the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist. Then launch iPhoto and see if it will open OK.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

When I use my iPhone and go into the iTunes Store Search, it clocks/gets-stuck in Loading. Also if I select iTunes and App Store in Settings, nothing happens. Any advice? Thanks.

Stuck when loading computer via ATV

Ive been setting up my Homesharing today, and i can access it without any problems on both my phone and my Ipad, but when trying to access it on my ATV, it gets stuck on loading without any opions, iff i press the "home" botton, and try to reconnect, i cant. everything is just blank with the text "ATV will access any library connected to the apple id etc..." then when trying to acces it on my Ipad again, i can see all the files, but cant play them, to fix that i have to restart homesharing on my computer, and its accessable again. but on the ATV it keeps failing. Any ideas?

Amazon Cloud Drive page gets stuck on "loading."

When I try to go to my Amazon cloud drive, the page opens but it gets stuck on "Loading" and the drive contents never appear. The page loads fine in IE and Chrome and I'm not having problems with any other websites in Firefox.

My apps suddenly get stuck at loading

I bought a 8GB Ipod Touch a week ago and it's been working great until last night.I was downloading apps on my ipod touch from the app store,but they would get stuck at loading.I can't delete them and I've searched the internet for solutions.I'm restoring my ipod now in hope that it fixes the problem.If it doesn't work,should I just return it or is there any other solutions?I'm really frustrated about this.All I've been able to find is posts on apps just crashing when people open them. I can't even open mine.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same problem here. I have the 1st Gen iPod touch and yesterday I was downloading updates for several of my Apps then the download froze. The progress bar on the App icon is empty and the icon is dim. I can't select the App. When I go back to try to download the update again it just closes the App store. I had to download the updates through iTunes on my Mac then Sync to my iPod. I tried rebooting it (the iPod) and nothing helped. Today it happened again. Just right now, same problem but now I don't have my Mac with me and nothing seems to be resolving it. I did not lose my WiFi connection at all. I'm still running on 2.2.1 What version are you running on yours?
Since we have different generations I doubt it's a hardware issue.

I've recently stumbled on an article on how to view the packaged file (apk) published using AIR 3.2 for Android setting (Adobe Flash CS6). All you need to do is change the extension of the file from (.apk) to (.rar) or (.zip) and extract the file as you would with any other zip or rar file. I was able to confirm that the packaged file (apk) indeed contain all the videos for the presentation. I have more than 80 videos in the presentation. All videos included in the package are of the same video format and resolution (FLV 320x240) but of different duration. I intentionally included the all the videos inside the package so I can use the presentation anywhere and anytime without the need to connect to the internet. The packaged apk file size is (1.23GB) the file includes the project's swf and xml file, the component swf and videos.
When installed to android I noticed that the package remained as an apk file. Not really sure if android temporarily unpacks it when you run the app.
Testing phase:
I see no problem when I'm testing the project on my desktop computer. But when packaged and installed on my device the problem arise.
Problem:
I'm able to install and run the app on my device but wont play some of the videos included in the package.
Was this due to the limited RAM or processor of my android device?
I wanted to distribute the presentation to friends so i was trying to package it for easy access and installation on their device.
Alternative Solution:
I installed a third party app called SWF player by BIT LABS. Copied all the files to my device (the project's swf and component swf with the videos). The project worked like a charm the player (SWF player) and was able to run the presentation as if it was running of my desktop. All buttons and videos working properly. Although the alternative solution worked for me I still wanted to package the presentation for easy access and distribution to friends.

Ok, solved-ish. There were actually 3 issues:
1. There's a problem in the 0.6.18 new python paraminko ssh internals that was preventing it from uploading more than about 1GB at a time, possibly because it's reusing the same ssh connection which some webhosts will kick off after a certain time or amount.
2. The --num-retries parameter wasn't being read by the ssh backend
3. There's a bug in some encryption validation code that had to be removed before a 'resume backup' operation would work correctly (it won't read the GPG encryption key correctly).
So I reverted to 0.6.17 and removed a previously applied patch from the code found here.
So far it seems to be working. The dev who answered me on Launchpad said that there's a memory leak with 0.6.17 so watch out when doing any backups over ~100GB or so.

It's not supposed to. You need a newer device to use applications which require iOS 4.3 or above.

I've noticed since yesterday when I bought my new IPod Touch my ITunes on my computer gets stuck when it can't find the album art for some music I have. It gets to that album and won't do anything, won't let me skip it or anything ... Anyone else having similar issues and if so any workaround?
