IPM 4.1 - Group Administration server error
Hi
Please help me
for below error Error in communicating with IPMGroupAdministration Server.
It may be down or not yet up. Please make sure that the IPMGroupAdministration Server is up and running, then refresh the page.
I am getting this error whenever I am trying to open IPM Group Admin Server. I have checked the corresponding Process are running. Attaching the logs
Seems like the server is in ACS mode. Ensure the application is registered correctly and you have the right privlages to access the application with your credentials. Also post the pdshow output.

ColdFusion Administrator - Server Error
System:
SUSE Linux Enterprise 10.2 64-bit
ColdFusion 8 Enterprise 64-bit
Had to uninstall and re-install ColdFusion.
After the re-install of ColdFusion, I tried to deploy
another ColdFusion Archive, via the "ColdFusion Administrator"
The "Select File on Server" page display "Server Error: I/O error on server communication"
No messages are sent to any of the log files.
Any thoughtsI located this while looking for answers to this issue BTW, guess I will give it a try. It's posted for version 6, but It still worth a try. I should also note, that I have been told if you know the path to the file, you can still use the deploy feature by typing its full path in the box and using deploy.
Clicking the Browse Server button in the ColdFusion Administrator while RDS is disabled will cause a pop-up alert as shown here. The Browse Server button is part of an Applet built into the Administrator and is used for a variety of tasks, such?as selecting?the appropriate *.mdb file when creating an Microsoft Access Database Datasource from the CF Admin. If RDS was selected to be disabled during the post-installation configuration wizard, a recommended practice for production servers, then the Browse Server functionality will not work from the ColdFusion Administrator. There is no workaround other than to re-enable RDS in the deployment descriptor web.xml, found at{CF_HOME}/wwwroot/WEB-INF/web.xml. Refer to this document for how to enable/disable RDS. -
Administration server error: could not connect to server
I was just viewing some outlines and calc scripts. I got un error trying to close a clac script. It said unable to unlock and then closes EAS. I tried to log back in and I am getting a could not connect error. How do I fix this or do I just recycle the server
A little less drastic is to restart the EAS service. I've had an occasion or two where the service just up and stopped for no apparent reason, leaving me hanging with several hours of work to be redone in an outline... <sigh>
Anyway, restarting the EAS service may be all that you needed to do, it may have aborted or hung itself.
Edit: clearer to say service here rather than server. -

we have directory server 5, running ok, but when i try to start admin server i get this message:

ioannaMake sure MagnusPostInit.dll is present in the directory (<installdir>/bin/https/bin/MagnusPostInit.dll)
if not present means try to copy that dll in that specified location or to reinstall your directory server. -
After launching window CommonServices -> Device Credentials -> Device Management is appeared following error:

I have checked running processes: CMFOGSServer has status: Failed to run

sarkaThen try regenerating the SSL certificate. If that does not work, check the status of DCRServer and EssMonitor. Those processes must be running successfully in order for CMFOGSServer to start. Again, check the server memory. You MUST have at least 2 GB of physical RAM and 4 GB of swap for the applications TO START. This is without any devices any DCR.
Finally, if you are unable to get CMFOGSServer to start, OGS debugging needs to be enabled. This process takes some explaining, and is best done with the help of TAC. -

I was trying to create/Maintain JCo destions on Web Dynpro Content Administrator caught up with the 500 Internal Server Error

EAS server error: Could not connect to administration Server
Hi,
I have installed Hyperion suite in Windows server 2008 R2. It was working fine but now when i tried to login in to the EAS console, I am getting the following error:
"Server Error: Could not connect to administration server".
I tried accessing the same through the web URL and I found "404 error - file or directory not found".
I verified all my services are up and running fine. I am able to connect to the essbase sever through Excel as well as planning.

Sorry for replying late.
I ran the EPM diagnostic and found EAS & APS application are failed. So as you mentioned, i tried re-deployment through EPM configurator.
But Re-configuration fails with error "An unexpected error occurred and the application will have to shut down" .

Error occurred while downloading files from Administration Server...
Hi guys,
If i already have my application deployed and exploded in ../tmp/_WL_user , when I restart the managed server it will try to download again the files from the upload directory in the Administration Servers? (I'm using stage mode).
Sometimes I got the following error:
Caused By: java.io.IOException: [DeploymentService:290066]Error occurred while downloading files from Administration Server for deployment request "0". Underlying error is: "null"
and I already have the war exploded in /tmp/_WL_user
the staging mode is not only for the first deployment? when i don't have the war exploded in /tmp/_WL_user?
I've some confusion related to the process or deployment/startup of the managed servers.

when you get following error * DeploymentService:290066 * then that means
A service on the machine is preventing the WebLogic Server remote instance from downloading the configuration file. This can be Hosts Intrusion Prevention (HIPS) agents or any other agent causing this issue.
Disable the agent interfering with the download process to fix this issue.

hello All,
i am very new to EPM
i have installed EPM 11.1.2.2 with web application deployed to single manage server
OS : windows server 2008
database : sql server
when i try to connect EAS console it gives me error
Could not connect Administration Server
any idea?If it has been deployed to a single managed server on the default port then you will need to add the server in EAS console as servername:9000

I have installed and configured Hyperion (11.1.2.1) Essbase & Planning successfully on windows server 2008 64 bit. For that I installed Oracle 10g Standard Edition as supported RDBMS. Due to RAM consumption I planned to install the Oracle Express Edition instead of Standard Edition. For that I export the tablespace which contains metadata of Hyperion products from existing database(SE) to current database(XE). After that I reconfigured all the Hyperion Products.
Once re-configuration completed, I tried to log-in to the Administration Server via EAS Console by providing server name as localhost and username as Admin. Then EAS console throwing error as "Could not connect to Administration server".
To solve this issue I tried following steps,
1> Remove the Cwallet.sso and create a new Cwallet.sso by using orapki bat file.
2> Backup the original ESSBASE.SEC file and rename the ESSBASE.BAK file to ESSBASE.SEC then I started the Essbase Administration service.
3> I re-installed and re-configured the EAS console.
After following these steps I am not able to overcome this issue.
For your kind information,
1> I can able to login to the Essbase through ESSCMD.
2> I can able to view the list of essbase applications through Smart View.
Kindly guide me how to overcome this issue.

Hi All,
I have DB2 9.1 installed on Suse linux 10.1 with manual storage management.
When i try to access Db2 using control center in particular when i try to access the tablespaces to create new containers it throws me this error.
SQL22212N A DB2 Administration Server communication error has been detected. Client system: "172.18.xxx.xxx". server system "172.18.xxx.xxx". (Both these ip address are same).
but, I am able to add new containers through DBACOCKPIT in SAPgui.
I tried the steps as told by some IBM references (creating tools catalog) to the above problem

Have any body seen this before.
RegardsThe server was running fine for few months until i restarted the calendar server. i started to see the same error and the problem was the machine name got changed at some point.
I added the old hostname to the /etc/hosts file and restarted the calender server and it started to work fine.
