IPMA 2nd Assistant logoff problem

Dear all,
I have a manager with 2 assistants. I can logon both assistants, and 1 will be the primary assistant. if she goes offline, the second one will take the calls from her own phone.
but the strange thing is that if both secretaries are logged on. the second one can nog logoff or go offline. she can only do this when the first secretary is logged off and the second one is monitoring the manager.
how do I logoff the second secretary if the first one is logged on?
I'm using ccm4.2 and the ipma is running on the phones, we are not using the pc software.

After a logoff/logon sequence, the entry is populated again. If you were to set a read only permission on this file/folder, you may not be able to log in or to do any modification

IPod Touch 2nd Gen. Problems

Hello
Lately I've started having multiple problems on my iPod touch, to list them:
1) the shuffle feature doesn't work as it should; in a playlist of around 30 songs it will shuffle through the same 5 or 6 for ages! I have to repeatedly press next for several minutes till it finally reaches a new song and even then it usually just adds that one or possibly two extra songs into its loop.
2) I'm not sure about this one but when I play a video once the video finishes it starts again from the beginning depending on whether or not I've got repeat turned on in the music app. As I said I'm not sure about this. This could be how it's meant to work but its never done it before and has only occured recently and sporadically.
3) When downloading apps if I move from the home screen the app is installing on, it just disappears and I have to start the download again; also it can just cancel any downloads for no apparent reason and it won't download anything till I turn Wi-Fi on and off.
4) The create playlist feature no longer works, I add songs to a playlist and the next time I sync my iPod with the computer it removes them from the playlist instead of updating the computers version to match my changes.
5) When I try continue a playlist or album I was listening to several hours ago it will randomly play either another album or the entire iPod library despite the fact that when I open the music app it opens at the point at which I left it.
6) My Google calenders occasionally disappear meaning I have to remove and re-add my account to regain my calender info.
I have restored the iPod twice, if its of any assistance my iPod is the second gen. iPod touch 32GB iOS 4.2.1 and it is NOT jailbroken (I don't do that sort of thing). My computer is a late 2008 aluminium macbook running Mac OS X Lion.

I'm not convinced that adding to a two-and-a-half year old post is going to get you anywhere.
You should be running iTunes 12 by now, while the original post refers to iTunes 10. So one would imaging that any problem caused by bugs in iTunes 10 had been sorted out by now.
I suggest that you create a new discussion, specific to your issues and that your description of the problems you have is a bit more detailed than you have provided so far.

What problem precisely? I regularly use a 2nd generation Touch and do not have any problems with it.
By the way, Apple do not routinely monitor or read these discussions. This is a user forum, where we help each other.

Forms Migration Assistant installation problem

Hi,
I'm trying to install Forms Migration Assistant on linux to convert forms 6i apps to forms 9i. But when i try to install FMA downloaded from here the installer says that the Oracle Home does not have Oracle Forms 9i installed altough it was shown in installed products. The output of the log file is below. Please if anyone know the solution for this problem or have any idea it would be so helpful.
I need it for my thesis to be given this week.

Also in the installation log file it says the things below. I think it's because i cannot identify the FORMS_ORACLE_HOME variable. In the installation procedure of FMA it says that i should set FORMS90_PATH to $ORACLE_HOME/forms90 but it doesn't work either.

Ipod Shuffle 2nd generation OneClick Problems

Hi
I have an ipod shuffle (2nd generation) and have downloaded the OneClickDigital media manager from the App store.
This has allowed me to check out audiobooks from my library... and they download to this program and I can play them there....that much is working.
The problem is that when I "download/transfer" the audiobook I get an error message that I can't seem to resolve. It says "iPod music is not manually managed....Please check the "Manually manage music and videos" option for your device in iTunes....IMPORTANT: All existing content on the device could be deleted by iTunes by checking this option".
Now here's the problem. There seems to be no "summary" tab for the ipod shuffle (2nd generation). The response I got from OneClickdigital says "Unfortunately, we are not aware of another way to manually sync music for specific devices other than the Summary tab Options settings. We do recommend that you contact Apple support directly in regards to questions specific to your device."
Any ideas?

I have the same problem with my ipod.
It doesn't flash any lights and ive tried all of these ways too.
Ive had it for less than a year and I won my ipod so I dont really know if i can go to the apple store and they'll fix it for me.

Because I don't have the cover box, but i have the clear plastic box w/ the white plastic holding that but not the cover box(i dont even remeber if there was a box over the white palstic thing).And i dont have a receipt because i won it, but i have all the other papers that were in the clear box itself even the stickers and everything.

Same old logoff problem but new scenario

HI,
I login into portal from <b>Internet Explorer</b> and click on logoff and it works fine.
now, I go to <b>windows explorer (windows button + E, not Internet Explorer)</b> and type my portal url and login and then click on logoff, it doesnt logoff. also when i close that explorer and open a new session and type the url, by default it logs me in.
anybody faced this problem and any sap notes out there?

Yep you are correct, but its not me, but few end users got used to opening window explorer to browse the internet and they face this wierd problem when they browse SAP EP.
could you please check it in your installation, if it is behaving the same way, if you have one though?

Migration Assistant/FireWire problems.... I'm not sure which

I've searched through many of the posts on this subject and I've not found anything similar so I thought that I'd try posting the question.
My lovely wife just bought me a new iMac for my birthday to replace my very old and very abused (also read... incredibly slow iBook G4). I didn't do MA when I first booted it up as I didn't own a FireWire then.
I just bought a FireWire yesterday, plugged it in to both computers and brought up the MA program. It seemed to recognize that that a computer was connected to the other end as it told me to reboot it into "FireWire" mode. I did that and then it never could hook up to the computer again. I've attempted it many different ways and times.
Frankly I'm at the end of my rope and I've been transferring files via BlueTooth just to get some of my old stuff on the new machine.
Hopefully, this is an easy problem for someone out there.

I would say one of the symptoms is just as you've said, it basically times out forever.

Database configuration assistant privlege problem

I am installing Oracle 9i R2 (9.2.4) install on Redhat 7.3.
I am following the guides at:

I launched the oracle runInstaller, I can go through to the point where I choose Database configuration which I select(Software only) and click next.
It failes with the following error dialog:
Error: You do not have sufficient privileges to write to the specified path. in compnonent Database Configuration Assistant 9.2.0.1.0. Installation cannot continue for this component.

I continue the installation. Many things are installed, but at the end of the installation, it s written "Oracle installation Failed".
Does anyone know where my permissions problem is and the way to complete the install succesfully?

The problem could arise not having set ORACLE_BASE environment variable : in this case the Installer could try creating directories under root (/).
But there is Bug No. 3547724 as well : NEW 9.2.0.4 FOR LINUX 'REKIT' FAILS TO INSTALL DBCA - INSUFFICIENT PRIVILEGES. In this case the suggested workaround is to install 9.2.0.1, then patch 9.2.0.4 .

2nd monitor & app problem

i copied and pasted this from another mac forum... there was no reply. sometimes i have the same problem with apps such as cdxtract, battery 3 and Kontakt 3 in standalone mode.
Not Logic related but any ideas coz this can be very annoying if i forget to drag from 2nd monitor to the mac before hand.
I have a 2nd monitor attached to my Mac and if open an app Window on the 2nd monitor the next time I start the app the Window always defaults to the 2nd monitor (even if the 2nd monitor is turned off). Since I don't always remember that the app was opened on the 2nd monitor I would like a way to force the app to default to the primary monitor so I don't always need to turn on the 2nd monitor

The second screen is an extention of the primary screen and when you switch spaces, both will change to a different space.
There is a solution, but it requires associating the app with All spaces in System Preferences > Expose & Spaces > Spaces tab > Assign the app to Every Space. Then as you can spaces that app is present on all spaces.

If you don't want the browser in the primary monitor for all spaces, then use two different browsers. Safari for the primary browser and Firefox for the browser moved to external display. Then define Firefox in all spaces and Safari to only one.

2nd phone same problem

My wifes BB Curve 8330 Verizon at least twice a week has this problem. When she gets a call the person calling her can hear her but she cannot hear them. This happens randomly a couple of times a week. It does not make a difference if the call comes from a land line or cell phone. She can still get and send email and text meesages but she cannot hear them. After she does a reboot the phone works. This is the 2nd phone it is doing it on. Any one have any idea what could be causing this. I don't think it could be 2 different phones with the same problem.

two pnoes arre not a coincidece, and it would have nothing to do with the BB. I would almost bet that ht sin card is bad, and when they changed phones, the resused the sim in the second phone/ I would request a phone directly fron RIM nort in Verion stockl Also make sure they give you a new siml,

2nd generation connection problem!

I have a ipod touch 2nd generation and my brother recently bought an ipad air so he got the newest itunes update on the computer and when I connect my ipod it will not show up so I cant put music in it. I need Help!

2nd gen sound problem

I just got a new 2nd gen touch and it will play a song all the way through, but on the second song (or video), the sound disappears after 2 seconds. The ipod still shows that it's playing the song, but without sound. The same goes for video. You can watch the video, but no sound. Switching between the two appears to fix it, but this can't be right. Anyone else have this problem??

I'm also having this issue. Both video and music. It doesn't happen for every song or video, just some.

Logoff problem as an iview

The function is ok.But after I logoff, the page redirects to the logon page,leaving the header unchanged.And I must refresh the whole portal page,the whole page returns to the logon page.
I have added the javascript : top.location.reload(); in the end of the logoff function.But the strange thing is : this function is called before logoff is finished.
So is there any solution to redirect the whole portal page to the logon page after i logoff through the logoff iview?

That oss note was very helpful. We´re using nw04 stack 11 patch 3 with a custom theme.
I did the following changes in Visual Administrator:
VA (Visual Administrator) --> Services --> Configuration Adapter --> webdynpro --> sap.com --> tcwddispwda --> Propertysheet.default
1. sap.useWebDynproStyleSheet: 'false'
2. sap.theme.default: http:///webdynpro/resources/sap.com/tcwddispwda/global/SSR/themes/sap_chrome
(I used a standard theme, since I have not yet found the URL of our custom theme).
Now the graphics look fine, but one problem still remains.
When clicking the "arrow-down" button of the dropdownlist it won't open up, it behaves just like a static inputfield, just showing the first value of the list content. When I use "arrow-up" and "arrow-down" buttons on my keybord it will scroll through the dropdown though, just showing one value at a time.
Another strange thing. The dropdown works when I use the webdynpro standard 'blue' theme which is used when I set the sap.useWebDynproStyleSheet = 'false', and leave sap.default.theme empty,
(or when I run the application from the WAS webdynpro content administrator in the portal).
Any ideas on this one would be greatly appreciated.

Download Assistant update problem

The version I currently have on my computer is 1.0.6. It is not letting up update the download assistant and is saying that it has been mis-configured. How do I fix this problem?

You would suggest uninstall Adobe Download Assistant. You can follow the steps suggested in below link.
