OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 Crashes Too Often
Hi,
My iMac and MBP have been upgraded to OS X Mavericks 10.9.3. They crash too often.
EdProvide the crash report.
You might also provide an EtreCheck report as well.
Did you install 3rd Party RAM recently? Bad RAM is a frequent cause of kernel panics
Are you running an Anti-Virus package? Another frequent cause of kernel panics, and completely unnecessary on Macs, as Mac OS X includes very good anti-malware measures built-in. -
MBP 2008 late crashes too often after update to Mavericks
My Macbook Pro 2008 late(First generation of Unibody) works perfect on OS X 10.8.x, but after update to Mavericks yesterday, it crashes too often, about 1 hour 1 time.
It seems com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement caused the issue, but I have no idea how solve it.
I checked the kernel extensions, found there are some from VirtualBox, so update it to latest 4.3.0 version, it have initial Mavericks support, but crashes still.

My iPod Classic 4 keeps crashing after I turn it on. I press home/menu button, then the Apple logo appears and several moments afterwards a picture of a iPod with a sad face appears and beneath it says apple.com/support/ipod and then it turns off.
Before that I put iPod to disc mode and put it into the computer. PC didn't recognize it and I took the cable out and it started restarting and turning on over and over again. I somehow managed to stop that but now the problem above appears.Hi...
Try this support article > iPod displays a sad iPod icon
If nothing there helps, take your iPod in for service > Apple - Find Locations

my ipod 5th gen keeps shutting down but today is turned off but it wont turn back on
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Photoshop CS2 crashes too often!!!
I run Photoshop CS2 on my Mac Pro 2x2.66Ghz Intel Xeon, 5GB RAM, with Leopard OS X 10.5.2. I keep having problem with Photoshop quitting unexpectedly too often. It's not when doing certain types of task or anything, but just crashes randomly at any point. Sometimes I work fine for hours, and sometimes I can't even last 30min.
I do have CS3 installed, but don't really open it. I use CS2 for now.
I don't understand what might possibly be the problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks."I don't understand what might possibly be the problem."
The problem is you have a version of Photoshop supported under Leopard (CS3) and you are choosing to use one that isn't instead (CS2).
Try working with CS3. Besides the better stability, you should also notice a rather dramatic improvement in speed if you are working with files of any good size. -
IPod 5th Gen keeps turning on and off!! ***
My iPod 5th Gen just keeps turning on and off, I dunno why but it just does!
I just updated the iPod about 10 minutes ago, and it completed then right after it comes up with the Silver Apple logo, then lights up, then shuts down, makes the hard drive clicky sound too. And just does that over and over and over again. I hate it.
I've tried to put it into Disk mode, and Menu+Select and Menu+Play. Nothing works!
What do I do??rb power wrote:
im having the same problems but once i get my ipod into disk mode i cant seem to restore it..
You restore it when plugged into your computer and it shows up in iTunes. The restore function is in iTunes. Sometimes you have to force the iPod into disk mode in order to get it to mount and show up in iTunes.

Hello,
I'm having a very difficult time with Firefox, it crashes every few minutes, this is just impossible to work...
My computer is perfectly fine, I've run memtest for 4 passes with no errors, Firefox is the only software crashing.
What should I do?
Thanks for your help.Me 2.
Firefox keeps crashing often without doing anything special.
Sometimes I have one only page open and I am not actively surfing when it crashes. And it definitely starts with 3.6.13. -
working with FCE HD 3, getting the hang of it pretty good. but it keeps crashing. any ideas on ways to cut down on that?
i don't run anything processor intensive (e.g. iTunes) at the same time. restarting doesn't necessarily improve things.
PowerBook G4 Mac OS X (10.3.9) 1GB RAM, 30GB HD (17GB free), QT 7.1.3Hi there regmetc
A couple of possible issues could be affecting you crash rate. First, it appears you are running Panther. Upgrading to the latest version of Tiger should help. Also, You have a 30 GB HD. Having 17GB free isn't much since one hour of video will consume 13GB. If your programs and your video is all on one HD, you are asking alot of your system to access FCE and process video all at the same time. You'll be better off having an external HD to save your projects to. The external HD sould be formatted for Mac OSX Extended and should be firewire not USB. Ideally, your internal HD should be larger too.

My ipod 5th gen keeps turning off whenever I unlock it!
A few days ago I was on my ipod 5th gen and it randomly restarted itself, I didn't think much of it but as soon as I unlocked my ipod it froze for a second or two and restarted itself again, it happens every time I unlock it, if i stay on the home screen its fine and I can access my music but it wont connect to any wifi and always restarts itself every time i type in the passcode. I've tried going into itunes to back it up and restore it but it needs me to allow access to my ipod by unlocking it (which i cant do) and saying i trust my computer. Nothing ive tried has done anything and i cant back it up cuz i cant unlock my ipod without it restarting itself.

Elements 6.0 Crashing Too Often for Work
Hello, I've been using my copy of PSE6.0 almost all day today off and on, trying to get a picture done just perfectly, as well as to be able to play around with the features. Unfortunately, it is becoming increasingly difficult to finish individual steps on my work, because, while at the beginning of today, Photoshop crashed maybe one time, now it crashes after I do much of anything. After about 3 or 4 minutes, which is not enough to complete the step I'm on and save, regardless of what I'm doing, Photoshop will give me the "Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 has encountered and error and needs to close." message. I can't finish the step I'm on with the constant crashing, and it's really a hassle to turn off the computer and get it to speed back up to par again. If someone can help me solve this problem, I would be extremely grateful.
Unfortunately, there are many reasons why the PSE Editor might crash, and often it is hard to diagnose quickly the reason for the crash. Here are some steps you can take to try to fix the problem:
