I had the same problem. Somehow my messaging app ended up in Newstand. I turned my phone off. When it restarted, the messaging app was out of the newstand.

How can I return the sound on my iPod 4 touch to normal? The sound is speeded up when I play a downloaded podcast in any format - Bose dock, ear phones or mic. It's hard to tell, but the music seems ok, and the podcasts sound fine on my Mac.

All tips and tricks state that an Option to Enable Disc Mode should be visible, but I am not seeing that. And other tips / tricks to push power / home buttons on ipod to enter diagnostic mode / disc mode (?) are only putting me in Recovery Mode.

How do I restore my library from an i-pod? My home computer with my i-tunes library was recently destroyed in a fire. I have the entire library on a 160GB i-pod that I bought a few years back. You can't transfer songs from iPod to computer using iTunes, except for songs you purchased from the iTunes Store (and you can re-download any previous purchase from the iTunes Store Purchased screen).
However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer songs files from iPod to computer. If you do a Google search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
Once the song files are on your computer, drag the files (or the folder containing the files) to the iTunes window to add them to the iTunes library. -

- Try another charging source

You can either set up a service request with Apple through this or you can bring it into your local Apple Store/AASP and have them set one up for you.

I just factory restored my iPod 5 touch and when I plug it into iTunes to back it up, iTunes stops responding and closes. This only occurs when the iPod is plugged in, when it isn't, iTunes works fine. I am using Windows 8 and iTunes is updated (as of this posting). Any suggestions on getting around this? Thank you.
Also, when I put it through the Windows diagnostic, it lists an "incompatible program" WHILE my iPod is plugged in.

I don't own an Apple iPhone 5, 5S, 6, 6+ but only my iPod 5G Touch.
Will the new AppleWatch sync with my iPod 5G Touch in anyway?
If not, I might still buy the AppleWatch in hopes that if the rumor of a newer iPod 6 comes in the fall of 2015, then it would almost for sure pair with the AppleWatch. (Please rumor come true!!!)
If not, then what can I still do with the AppleWatch without buying (yet?) the iPhone 5 up to the iPhone 6/6+ other than tell time?

Though in some ways, they are absolutely right because of the improvements they have done 'for us'. I came sooooooo close to ordering the AppleWatch the first hours they started pre-orders, but... I knew I wasn't (really) ready for it until I buy the new iPhone 6 (my choice).

IMessage doesn't work on my iPod 4 touch!
Last week, the first week in July it worked and I was able to send and receive messages. However, this week I couldn't get anything. Everytime I send a message it takes its sweet time and then says "message failure". My wifi is working perfectly. I can connect to YouTube, email, and Safari. However iMessage and FaceTime does NOT work. It works fine on my Mac laptop but NOT on my iPod 4 Touch. It is infuriating! I've already tried reseting network, restarting iPod, reseting ALL SETTINGS. I've turned the iMessage settings on and off and even FaceTime too. Still it doesn't not work! I am fed up with all these issues with Apple. I can't contact anyone because they don't have an email service. If they do they make it impossible to FIND! I am very angry that I can't message anyone!
If there is an employee at Apple who can fix my issue please respond. Read my summary carefully and let me know what the issue is.

I purchased the iPod 4 Touch app "Shopping List" by Hensel. I used the app daily, and found that it was very stable. I upgraded my iPod with the ios 6 upgrade. Now my Shopping List app crashes each time I try to use it. It opens, but I cannot add an item to the list, create a list, or use the app at all.
I have tried the following:
1. I tried to find an update for the app. - No luck.
2. I removed the app from my device, restarted the device with a hard shutdown.
3. Reinstalled the app.
4. I tried to use the app, and no dice. It still does not work.
5. I looked all over the web for the developer's site. I have not found it. When I think that I am getting close, I get rerouted to the iTunes site.
Please help.I have had the same problem. I can't find the app on the store anymore but I'm not sure what that means. They may have just pulled it while they upgrade for iOS6 compatibility.
Since I still need to shop while they fix it, I downloaded GroceryIQ. It has been great! I really like the the "speak to enter" feature as well as the bar code scanner.
As much as I liked ShoppingList, I'm not going back. -

My Ipod nano touch is not charging, not showing in my PC or laptop. Last I saw an apple icon and low battery signal. There after the screen is black and no power not taking AC or PC charge. What Can I do?
If the Reset didn't work, you'll need to do a Restore.
From iTunes, select the iPad and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finished, you will be asked if you wish the contents of iTunes to be copied to the iPad. -
