IPod 4 wont display the default wallpapers

My ipod 4th generation wont display the default wall papers if you go into settings and sellect wallpapers and lighting and click the wall papers button to change wall papers and go under the wall papers that come with the device it will only show black its all black i can only scroll up and down or escape the screen

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings

Problem on photo link cold be due to the https link (vice just a http link)

Always displays the default saved search in af:query

The saved search drop down lists the saved searches but could not select another saved search. The dropdown selected value always point to the default saved search, as well as it's UI in criteria region. The same behavior in saving a new search, it will always refresh to the default. What seems to be the problem here? The current QueryDescriptor point to the new search but the UI always displays the default.

Found the solution. The queryDescriptor getter calls again the default value that's way it doesn't change. Thanks for the time.

My 4g ipod no longer shows the default apps on

hey all,
i have a big problem : i wanted to update my ipod touch 4g to the newest fw 4.3.4 but i always get the error 3194.
i tried the solving problems like it says on the apple site, but they don't work.
Now i wanted to go to my settings, but then i realized that all default apps like stocks,youtube,clock and even music and videos are gone.
so i wanted to search afer them on search function, but they seem to be gone.
i typed a name of a song ('cause all songs and videos from my library are on my iPod) and clicked at one, but it says :

How to display the default milestone of a system

how can I find out which milestone svcs tries to start during boot ?
svcs -a displays a lot of services as enabled, but also several services as DISABLED.
should I restart the disable services manually ? (no.)
Do I need to checked all DISABLED services ?

Well, if a service appears as 'disabled' in svcs -a SMF will not try to start it during boot.
Services which fails to start will appear as 'offline'.
Do determine services dependant on, for example the multi-user milestone, type:
svcs -d milestone/multi-user
I would guess that the default milestone is milestone/multi-user-server, but i don't know how to prove it.

G5 System Wont display the machine serial number.

i just bought a referbished G5 dual 2.0 ghz. and the "about this mac" window wont display serial number. i even downloaded tools like "OnyX" to display system info. the srial number stays blank. it also does this in the system profiler. what do i do? and how do i get serial number in the software?

If the machine is refurbished, it may have had its logic board replaced post-manufacture. When logic boards are replaced, they usually do not have the serial number re-programmed into them. Apple have a utility to do so, but it seems they do not distribute it. (Except they leave it in repaired systems sometimes - http://lists.apple.com/archives/Darwin-userlevel/2005/Mar/msg00005.html )
You can find out the serial number of your system by opening the case side and looking at the bottom of the case.

Deleted comments on Itunes songs, now ipod art wont display!!

I deleted comments from song songs i bought from Amazon MP3 store as it had like Amazon.com Song ID 104820933925790235 so i deleted them as when using front row i had that annoying me, so i deleted my them thinking nothing of it, now when i lock my ipod it doesn't display the album art, i also deleted the comments on some U2 album that had a load of numbers so i deleted them too, and now it doesn't display album art when my ipod is locked.
So can i have some help please.

Please tell me that it has NEVER been jailbroke. If it has not been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, read this.

I do have AppleMobileDeviceService.exe running.
My USBs are plugging in straight into the laptop. All 4 work. Just today, I synced my iPod with multiple USB ports. It works for the iPod, but the iPhone won't pop-up. The iPhone does not appear in iTunes as a button anywhere.
I am unable to use another computer for this. I can actually go into iTunes, add file to library, and add photos that way. So, it's recognized by my computer.
This should have been seperated. Basically, I don't have another computer accessible to me to back-up sync on iTunes with.
The last part means in iTunes, I can click "File > Add file to library" and the iPhone is shown as a camera icon. I can click on it and have access to photos. I can add those photos to the iTunes library. That's about as far as the connectivity goes with the iPhone right now.

So my iPod touch 4th generation 16 gigs. has about 5 long cracks along the screen and I guess whenever I try to log into it, I cant.. I cant slide the "slide to unlock" thing. It will just there. Then when I finally got it to open up and I had to type my password in, it wouldnt let me. It would just type the wrong numbers in. Well Its getting really frusterating, and I have taken this iPod back multiple time in the last year. To be quite honest, Im getting ****** off. I WANT MY IPOD TO WORK. With a cracked screen, though, you need to take it to an Apple store genius bar and get an out-of-warranty replacement. That is $99 for that model.

In bookmarks window when i click on choose to find folder to put bookmark into it wont display the whole list

in this version of firefox and the earlier ones when i want to save a bookmark into a certain folder, i do not get the whole folder list so to keep the bookmark i have to save into unsorted folder and then move it to the desired folder...this is not the way it should be
should be click 0n bookmarks, then click on down arrow and the folders should be displayed and choose one and click done....
please fix this

this version of firefox may have been corrupted during an upgrade or something...
i thought it was supposed to be like Internet Explorer where you click on the bookmark index, then select folder where you want bookmark set and then click finish...is this incorrect or right on?
