Ipod 4g 32G not turning on, not charging (on multiple cords, both comp and wall, 4 20min), not being detected by Itunes or Windows 7 64bit OS, will not reset, tried taking it out of "DFU", NO DMG, Itunes up2date, All I'm getting is a blank black scrn
Ipod Touch 4th generation 32G not turning on, not charging.
I have used multiple cords on both computer USB and wall USB converters. I let it sit there for over 20 min with each attempt.
It is not being detected by Itunes or my Windows 7 64bit OS. I have tried all 4 of my USB ports (both USB 2.0 and 3.0), with 3 different chargers.
Holding home and power button will not reset.
Tried taking it out of "DFU" mode but Itunes won't detect it, I didn't think that would work anyway.
NO DAMAGE, I have been very careful with it, aside from a few minor scratches. (that you can't even see unless the light reflects them)
My Itunes is up to date, as is my OS.
All I'm getting is a blank black screen. It has been working fine on this computer before. I have no idea what could have happened. I'm at my wits end here.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Cannot update iTunes in Windows 7 - download will not complete.
When my software updater alerts me that itunes needs to be updated and I try to download the latest version, I keep running into problems with the download. This happens regardless of internet connection speed, other programs running, etc. The download simply stops halfway through and eventually I get an error message saying the download wasn't completed. Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

My ipod touch is not turning on or charging! Any Suggestions?
After upgrading my iPod touch to iOs5 it is not turning on or charging. Everytime I try to turn it on or charge it, it goes to the screen of death (white blank screen) and after ten minutes it goes to the black screen it does this over and over!!! Im highly devasted it hasn't been working for a week now . any suggestions of what i should ?

"iPod software update server could not be contacted. The Server does not support this version of iTunes." iPod will not turn on or charge or reset settings. I tried plugging it in my laptop, house computer and docking station to charge and nothing. Also, I have all the latest software updates to my knowledge. Before this happened, it kept on pressing buttons by itself and i couldn't do anything. I restored it and it still didn't work, so I tried again, and after 5 more restores, it still wouldn't work, Then the battery drained from full to dead in literally about five seconds. Now, it won't charge or turn on. My computer doesn't even say it is plugged in anymore. I've tried 3 different cords, both in a wall outlet and my computer, and it still won't work. Help!
Well there is one thing you can try... hold down the home button and lock/sleep button at the same time and don't forget to hold it. It should turn on. (By the way what you are doing is a restart, if you were on your iPod Touch on the home screen and you did thins it would reboot, and that is exactly why you are doing this)

New iphone 4s shut off and will not turn on or charge
I just upgraded to an iphone 4s yesterday. I installed 6 OS last night. Woke up this morning and took 5 pictures of my kids and sent a text. I went back a few hours later to check for return text and the phone is not responding. I have tried plugging it into my laptop (apple), I have tried plugging it into the wall plug, I have tried plugging it into my car charger. It's not turning on. This is my first smart phone and I have many apple products (2 ipads, macbook, ipod touch 4th gen, and now the iphone) and have not ran into this problem yet. It has not been touched except by me. It has either sat on my desk (sturdy wood) or my counter.
I now have no phone. And I cannot call Verizon because I do not have a house phone. lol Any suggestions besides take it back to Verizon tomorrow?Oh wow dmcalgaro! No phone is no good! Since posting did you get your issue resolved? Just like a computer, your phone needs to be rebooted every once in a while. As a great Apple consumer, I am sure that you know this. Also, it does take about 10-15 minutes to charge the device on a wall charger before the battery indicator (showing red and low battery) even comes on. Please try this and when the device does come back on, I would getting into the practice of closing out your apps every so often. Just double tap the home button and press and hold each app to close. When they start wiggling, simply click on the minus sign to close. This will help prevent this from happening in the future.

Have a Macbook Pro and a 4th gen iPod Touch. Downloaded and install iOS 4.3.2 yesterday. Upgrade went without a hitch, but now iTunes on My Macbook Pro will not open. I get an error that says --The file "iTunes Library" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes--. I am running iTunes 10.1. I searched for Updates to my MacBook Pro (running 10.6.7), but comes back saying no updates available. WHAT IS GOING ON??
Is your computer still authorized in the Store menu in iTunes?

When I changed to my new MacBookPro I had to authorize it although I used TimeMachine to transfer my settings and data.
Did you try to deselect Wi-Fi syncing and enable it again after that?

i put that i held down the home button and all that... sorry, should of made my message a little clearer hun.. but i did try that, ive been searching video's on the net trying to figure out how to fix the problem, but nothing seems to be working... ive just tried pluging the usb lead into my phone while holding the home button then connecting it to my computer to see if itunes fires up, but even that didnt work... i dont know what else to try.

Follow these steps, testing after each:
1. Turn the iPad off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPad for a few seconds, until a red slider appears. Then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
2. Reset iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If iPad still won't respond after you restore it
Follow these steps, testing after each:
