Ipod 4g help please, acting wierd.

I have had my ipod 4g for about 2 or 3 years, i'm not sure. First the battery life *****, about 1:30hours. Second After about a minute of play the middle of my ipod from the F, G, H keys and up (landscape mode). When i try to press the G, H, F, T, Y, V , B or any other button it either doesnt read it, or selectes something entirely different. Third sometimes after my apps crash the screen starts moving ramdomely and opens and closes apps and sometimes even types in mumbo-jumbo words. Fourth when it's in that mesed up stage sometimes i can select keys or buttons without even touching the screen by hovering my finger over it :$. Please help guys, i lost my 5g and this is all i have left.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I tend to make my playlists right on my ipod. This did not happen for the last 2 years. Just started recently. Did get a new computer recently.

That is because you got a new computer. You can only sync all media from one syncing computer. You can sync from any computer to iPod using the manual method but that does not sync from iPod to computer.

Just sync. You can alway redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

I cannot update apps on ipod. Help please.

So before, i already posted a question about this and i just figured out that it is my internet conection that has the problem, not the ipod.
It seems that my internet connection or router settings has a problem connecting to my ipod or i don't know... Please help.
Usually, when there is an app update, a number pops up beside the app store icon, right?
And when you open the app store:
WHEN THERE IS AN APP UPDATE - it displays all the apps that needs to be updated
WHEN THERE'S NONE - it displays, ALL APPS ARE UP TO DATE.
My problem is...
When i connect to the internet at school, it shows the updates or the all apps are up to date when i go to the app store updates tab.
recently, i leave the update counter (the one beside the app store icon) until i get home so i can be sure there are apps that needs to be updated.
When i'm home and connect to the internet. Open the app store >updates tab:
WHEN THERE IS AN APP UPDATE - it keeps on loading.
WHEN THERE'S NONE - it keeps on loading.
And when there's an update counter and i connect to the app store at home, it disappears.
Please help.. i cannot update my apps on my ipod. There isn't any problem with my device. I just restored it and i started again from scratch. No pictures, music, just apps.

No music in iTunes library and it wont read the content of my iPod? Help please!

So I recently updated to iTunes 10.7 and when I did, all of the content in the iTunes library was gone! i have tried many different things to get it to work, like restoring to a previous iTunes library, but it appears that all the previous iTunes libraries were also deleted when I updated! If there is no other way to get the music back than finding the original files and putting them into iTunes, I guess that will be ok.
The second problem I am having is that when ever I try to sync my iPod it takes a very long time to load, and then it says that iTunes can't read the content of my iPod and that I should restore to the factory settings, but because there is no music or apps in my iTunes library I dont want to do that, because then I will have no way of getting all of my content back on. And I can't restore to a previous backup because it wont read it as my iPod, it just comes up as an unkown iPod. This is very frustrating and I have tried everything I can think of. Please help!

- Reboot the computer.
- See if you can find the media by:

Can't Sync My iPod ! Help Please

well ... i just got my new iPod 2nd gen of 4gb .. and i cant sync .. windows recognize the nano .. but when im gonna start sync the nano goes to the menu screen and an error appears on the sync screen .. cant sync ..

OK, I'm having the same problem. The error message reads (-50) "an unkown error has occoured" apple support has been on no help so far...
Basically every time I try to save new settings in itunes and hit apply this message comes up, and then another "ipod cannot be updated disk cannot be read or written to" itunes freezes up then an "unkonwn error has occoured (-50)" error message a minute later.
Then when I reconnect it it says that no folders to download has been saved. I've tried to "enable disk usage" but that dosen't save.
This problem was temporaily eleviated when I downloaded 1.0.2 but then when I had to reset my ipod because it froze up, it wouldn't function agian. Just when I thought I had the problem solved. The same **** frustrating cycle.
I thought maybe downloading 1.0.2 agian would help but it reads that is already downloaded.
I'm stumped guys, please help.

Artwork on ipod touch help please

I just got an ipod touch for my son. I need to know how to hide/delete some artwork from his ipod? In itunes, i right click on the song and click get info, then i got to the artwork tab and hit delete. But when i sync it to the ipod, i check the ipod and the artwork is still there even though it is NOT on itunes. Please help. Thanks.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

IPod Touch Help Please

Hey guys. Uhmm. Recently, I finally upgraded my iTouch to 1.1.5 from 1.1.1 and now it won't sync or iTunes won't sync my music back onto it. Oh yeah, when I upgraded all my music and files were gone after it. Now it won't sync at all when I plug it in. Can anyone help me solve this problem? I'd appreciate it greatly.

My computer didn't recognized my iPod.. help please..

i bought iPod last 6 months, it was normal and I can put all of my songs on my computer to the iPod without any problems.
But now, I don't know why, my computer didn't want to recognized my iPod. Actually, my computer recognized it as removable disk, but it can't open it and always went 'not responding'.
When i was about to restore my iPod (with iPod updater), it keep on 'initializing'. and then it went to 'not responding'. sometimes it's said 'some other programs used your iPod, please close the programs' but i didn't run any programs at the time.
I still can play the remain songs on my iPod though, but if this errors still occurs, I won't be able to update it anymore. Help me please...

DigiCam clips onto ipod? Help Please~!

Hey guys i'v had my ipod video for a while now and i've just been trying to get the clips off my digicam onto my ipod. Even after using videora ipod conveter, it is just playing the sounds and not the actuall clip. I am very frutrated and I do not understand why it works converting the other files but not these clips! Please help me.

Are they .mov? I had the same problem with my .mov clips from a Nikon digital camera. I use the 3GP converter and they look great!

My ipod froze, help please

a couple days ago my ipod froze at the end of 1 song....it just froze.....i tried restarting it and nothing happened, i tried connecting it and still...frozen. so i let the battery drain and it helped....is this a common problem? is this a common problem? i was scared my ipod broke or something.. so if anyone has any suggestions or ideas on what happened and what can i do so it wont happen again, please tell me. thank you in advance for helping.

Itunes on two sites, and only one ipod? help please

have itunes at home (on a mac) and at another location (on a pc) - simple enough, but my library is at home and i have limited tracks at the other venue. but when i plug in the ipod the alternate itunes wants to make it the default "home". my question is am i able to change this to act only as a secondary "hub" as it were, i cant seem to find anything in the pref's to do this.

firstly - thanks alot for the reply, it is good to know there are people willing to help (i tried another forum and got nowhere.)
secondly - trying to change the preferences on the windows based machine, it does not allow alteration until the ipod is connected, but when i do connect it it asks me to change to it (being the windows pc)the default library - and when i decline the ipod is not connected to itunes. being new to the mac experience (both ipod and computer) i know there is prob an easy way round this but i am afraid i cant see it.
any chance of an idiots guide?

'Corrupted' iPod? Help please!

Ok so I haven't used my iPod nano for a couple of months, but when I went to sync my iPod again, it got through about a quarter of the songs when something popped up. It said that it couldn't sync my iPod because it was 'corrupted'.
I tried to restore it on the computer, and I also did the pushing down the menu and the middle button, but it didn't sync when I plugged it in again.
Now iTunes opens when I plug it into my computer, but it won't show up on iTunes. I really want my songs to work! Please help!
Oh, and my iPod is a first generation iPod nano.

Try formatting your iPod in Windows, then Restore it again.
