can i get my music back i dnt know why it just deleted everyhting when i updated it
is the path the same? did you leave in default config or did you move\import from different locations?

Synced media like aps and music are not included in the iPod backup that iTunes makes.

How can I connect my ipod to a new computer without deleting all my music
I just got a brand new laptop and when I connected my ipod and iphone 4 it prompts to syns a delete everything. How can I avoid that. I tried using the manual setting, but once I press apply it asks again to sync and delete all my music. Is there any other way to accomplish this?
That's exactly the way it is designed to work.
When you attempt to sync your iDevice with a new computer/library, iTunes will wipe the contents of the device and replace it with the contents from the library on the new computer.
To avoid losing content, first copy or move the media from your old computer to your new computer. Once this is done, the iDevice can be synced without worrying about iTunes removing the content as it can be synced back. -
My ipod (4th gen) won't charge at all
When I plug it up in the wall or computer the screen will cut on and the apple will show up but right when it is about to show the lock screen it cuts right off again. Now it can barely load to the lock screen. It cuts straight off and repeats this action over and over again. It will also show the low battery sign but still nothing will happen once I plug it up. I also let it sit off the charger for X number of hours then plug it back up. It will show the low battery sign and charge like it normally does but then it shows the apple 5 seconds later then cuts right of again.

Go into iTunes and hit Restore. It will blat the Touch.

Slightly less radical would be to uncheck the "Sync Music" button on the Music tab or choose new songs to sync to it -

Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.

i have ipod 4th gen, just updated ios 6, after all... i lost all of my photos, and i don't have any idea what to do to get my photos back, i have thousands photos at my ipod, pleeeaasseee... help me....
I updated to ios 6 on my iPod touch earlier and had the same issue. I think iCloud has been backing mine up though. I freaked out because all 500 of my photos were gone and my stupid self didnt do a back up... But then they all reappeared :..) Maybe i just got lucky? Good luck though..

Does Sony say it will work with a 4G iPod with iOS 6.0.1? Sometimes an iOS update will break compatibility.
Do you have the latest firmware on the dock? Go to Sony's website and check. -

Ipod 4th gen - cannot load operating software
Tried to reset my Ipod 4th gen. Error message says "The Ipod software update server could not be contacted. The server does not support this generation of Itunes."
What does this mean and what is the fix? Right now my Ipod is literally blank with nothing on it - no software, nothing. It can't turn on without downloading software.Sorry about that. Can anyone help with removing bonjour from my laptop so i can start again with itunes. All music gone from ipod,no idea why and itunes deleted all music from there too but won't let me uninstall bojour so cannot update itunes or even use it. My ipod 4th gen screen kept jumping this morning. Had to do a restore to factory conditions and it is working fine now. However, it originally had a factory installed Nike+ app on it and it did not install with the restore. I use this app daily with the running chip to log my workouts. Anyone know how to get this app back from Apple? Loading the Nike app from the app store is not the same thing as you need gps running continually for it to work (as with an iphone). Can't have that with my ipod unless I'm connected to wifi. Help?? Thanks.
If you go to Settings do you see an entry for the Nike app? There is no way to delete or hide that app?
Have you tired using the Spotlight search? Maybe you just can't find it.
Next would be to restore a gain. First from backup then next to factory settings/new iPod.
