On the left side of the Now Playing screen right below the scrubber bar is the repeat control. It is the arrowed racetrack icon. Tap the icon until it is white for no repeat.

My ipod 4th generation does not power up. I charged 1 hour on computer and another hour via power outlet and reset the device by simultaneously pressing the sleep/wake button on top and the wheel in the lower front. Nothing. I have had my Ipod Nano (4th Generation) for about 3 years and it has worked relativley well throughout. However recently I used it until it ran out o charge completely and asked to connect to charger. I took it home that evening and plugged it into my mains charger and there was no response, so I tried plugging it into my computer (it has the lastest version of iTunes) and it did not pick up the ipod at all. I have left it on charge multiple times since that and still no response. I have been through the troubleshooting guide and that has been of no help because if i hold down either the menu + centre buttons or Centre + play etc there is no response whatsoever. Is there any way that I can fix this problem or should i just either sell it or buy a new one.

i had the same thing happen to mine. figured it was shot - but i found the ops manual online and read about 're-setting' it. it involved holding down the left & right <<&>> buttons, with yoiur thumbnails, while the ipod lays on a hard surface. i had to go thru the steps a couple or 3 times, but it did finally work perfectly and has been working fine for months since! good luck -

i need to be right next to the box to get wifi. signal low once im about ten feet away. My brothers iphone still connect from a distance though. My ipod is pretty banged up and has been dropped pletty of times but i dont think that would effect it in that way, right?

My recently bought ipod shuffle 4th gen does not play whole songs synced to it, only the beginning then goes on to the next song. What have I done wrong?

I changed the iPod to Disk mode and it just blinks orange while it is connected to the PC. It says that it is synched on the PC screen but I thought the blinking orange light means that it isn't. I took it back out of disk mode. The original problem still exists...when I turn it on, the green light stays lit for 5 seconds then there's no light at all....when I press play the lights alternate orange and green indicating no music is loaded which is wrong since it shows all my songs that are loaded when it is connected to my PC. What a mess.

try to restore in itunes bye putting in recovey mode turn the ipod off press the home button and plug in the ipod into the computer. an itunes shuld see it in recovery mode and click restore. and that should do the trick.

Did you try a hard reset with the iPod still connected to your PC? Have you tried multiple USB ports, preferably high powered USB 2.0 ports?
To do a hard reset, first make sure the hold switch is in the Off position, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Have you also worked through each and every single troubleshooting suggestion in this Apple support document?
