Ipod 5 has wifi but it doesn't work.

I NEED HELP! i need to figure out how to fix this before i either A. sell my ipod or B. smash it. it has wifi, works with kik and instagram, but doesnt let me receive pictures or anything. I CANT TURN OFF FIND MY IPOD TO RESTORE IT BECAUSE IT WONT RECEIVE AN INTERNET CONNECTION! I HAVE SCHOOL PROJECTS TO DO, AND IM FINDING MY GALAXY S4 TO BE A LOT BETTER. I NEED HELP GUYS, PLEASE!

Make a backup and then restore via iTunes. To restore:
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Despite the connection indication you may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPod a valid IP address. To check on this go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address shown starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix for this can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Iphone 4s connects to wifi but internet doesn't work. Driving me mental, help!!

Been having issues with phone for the last few months, it cuts out the internet 2/3 times a night and I have to reboot the wifi. I originally thought it was the wifi (which it possibly still is) and got a new router, but now the phone connects to wifi but the internet won't work at all. I've looked on a few other posts about changing the DNS but it hasn't helped. We have a few other devices in the house which connect to the internet perfectly, so I really don't know what the issue is. Someone please help!!

Please help! downloaded iPod CD again, but it doesn't work :(

My computer was just reinstalled, so I had to download the iPod CD again. It seemed to work, but when I try to open iTunes the window iTunes Software Licence Agreement pops up. I click agree. Then an error message pops up: " The file iTunes Library.itl cannot be rea because it was created by a newer version. The only option is to click ok.And nothing opens.
What can I do???
I would be very grateful if anyone could help.

Well, I mean all the programmes on my computer were reinstalled (sorry, i don't know the proper words)
And I installed the iPod CD, which I got together with the iPod.
And the above mentionen problems appeared

Ipod Touch says I have wifi but it doesn't work

I have wifi and usually my Ipod Touch works but just recently it has stopped working. It says I have wifi and even the little bars show up but when ever I try to pull up an app that requires wifi it says it cannot retrieve download info please connect with iTunes. I have already tried to reset the network settings and even restored it.

How about some details about your wireless network?
Some things you can check real fast - go to Settings > WiFi. Do you have check mark next to your network name? If you tap the blue > next to the name, what does your IP address look like (if it is 169.x.x.x you are not connected to your network)?
Let us know and we will go from there.

Iphone connect to wifi but DNS doesn't work

I have just changed my mobile phone from Android(Nexus S) to iPhone 4S. The user experiences of iphone 4S is great as expected. But, but recently I have met the "popular" problem of iPhone 4S. This happens to my new iphone 4S frequently and some time it happens to my iPad 2 as well.
The problem is that, sometime, even you see the iphone has been connected to the WiFi, you can't visit any website unless you type the IP address in the browser. Even you disconnect from the router and use 3G, you still have the problem. The only work around is to restart your iphone.
First I think it is due to the DNS service down from the router. But my other devices and computer have no problem. And I also changed the DNS server address in the iphone and the problem still exists. Even I use VPN, iphone seems not being able to parse the URL to the ip address.
So, my conclusion is that, the DNS process of my iphone crashes. Maybe due to the compatibility of the router. But I think it is more or less the bug of the iphone.
And also,some reports from the internet shows that some user have the problem by installing certain app from app store. So I think maybe it is due to some APIs related with network cause the process crash. It is also may be the scenario of mine because I just started to install a lot of applications on my iphone.
By the way, my iphone is not jail break. So I hope Apple could fix this problem officially as soon as possible. Will them?

Okay, this morning it happened again. I unplugged my iphone, surfed some pages fine. Five minutes later I woke it up again, tried to go to the app store. Nothing.
Tried to surf some newspaper sites. Nothing. So I used an IP address rather than the www.blablabla.com address and it works.
Confirmed. Some sort of cirumstances let the DNS service crash. Only IP addresses work. After a reboot (that's the only chance) it works again.
Network reset, restore iOS, all other typical help steps, never cured it.
That's a bug.

My MacBook pro connects perfectly to the Internet but it doesn't work?

I've got a touch iPod and for about a week now it's almost been permenently zoomed into the screen? I actually cannot get it to zoom back out. I've tried pulling the screen out with my fingers but that doesn't work. It's zoomed in on my home pages, on my music, settings everything! Double tap the screen with three fingers to un-zoom.
Then go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom and turn this OFF.

you just have to close completely you Ipod (push 5-10 seconds on the button to open/close you ipod and slide the turn off) after open the ipod and it suppose to be correct I hope I answer to your question!
