IPod 5 not syncing right after iOS 7?

I recently updated my iPod Touch 5g with iOS 7 and my iTunes to iTunes 11. However now my iPod won't sync with my iTunes library. I tried re-installing iTunes, and resetting my iPod. None of these worked. It just stops on "Waiting for items to be transferred".
I've looked online and tried many things but can't figure it out. This is really irritating me because as of right now my iPod is pretty much useless to me considering I use it mostly for listening to music.
Can somebody help me fixing this? Or do I just need to wait for a software update to fix it?

I have an ipod 5g as well and this happened to me too. I have tried everything and nothing seems to fix the issue. i guess we will have to wait for a software update

  • Ipod can not sync photos after iTunes upgrade

I upgraded to iTunes 10.0.1.22 a few days ago. I plugged in my ipod and get the message, "ipod can not be synced. required folder can not be found" and after this message another, "...device cannot be found" I have not deleted or moved any folders.
I have never had trouble with syncing my ipod before. What's different? any suggestions?

if you guys own Aperture, a new update just fixed my issues.
I didn't even think Aperture was an issue since I never selected to sync using aperture. But now my iPhoto options are not grayed out to select partial library options, and the full library sync finally shows my accurate 12.8 gigs of space in the colored device fill bar at the bottom of iTunes sync.

  • Ipod Touch not getting detected after IOS upgrade.

I have recently upgraded the firmware of my Ipod Touch (1G) to IOS 3.0.1 and was successful in upgrading.
The issue i am facing is that my ipod touch is not getting detected after reconnecting and the ipod touch is not getting switched on...it is just showing the apple symbol and the progress bar.
Please let me know if anyone has faced similar type of issue.
Please also let me know the resolution for this.

Are you using a USB hub? Try connecting the iphone directly to the computer's USB port and see if that makes a difference.
Also, with the upgrade, this seems to happen a lot. Most of the time if it is not the USB issue above, it can be resolved by simply redownloading Itunes and installing it on top of your current installation.

  • IPhone 4.S not syncing music after iOS upgrade.

After upgrading to the latest iOS, neither of my iPhones will sync music from iTunes.  When I synced, I lost all of my music on my iPhone.  I still see everything in iTunes, but it does not sync any music to the iPhone and what was there was delete.

This is almost embarassing. For some totally unexplainable reason all the songs in iTunes were unchecked. I was considering syncing the whole iTunes library to my iPnone, tut even with the 32 Gb version it would not hold it all. I restarted my MBP, and the message about the unchecked songs came up. It obviously is not enough to have songs checked for the iPhone. Thanks anyway.

  • Ipod is not syncing right.

When I plug in my ipod and sync it, it is not allowing me to add playlist to my ipod or sync a new audible book I have just purchased. it appears to be locked or something. Is this a problem with the new update or what?

I've tried to drag the audible book file to my ipod, the playlist that are already sync'd and i've tried to copy and paste it to the book tab on my ipod. But I cant even change the playlist that appear.

  • IPod & iTunes not sync right :(

I used to have my iTunes installed on my main drive (I have a slave drive)but when my main drive was almost full of songs, I asked for an external drive for xmas and got one. So I uninstalled iTunes from my main drive and installed it on my external drive where I've transferred ALL my mp3s. Now since then, I've updated my iTunes and gone ahead and plugged in my iPod but even though the iPod says "do not disconnect" my iTunes on the external drive doesn't seem to be updating the iPod. I go under "File - Update iPod" and the option is greyed out. I listened to my iPod and noticed that songs I had originally deleted on iTunes were still on my iPod, is there any way to resolve this issue?
I'm wondering if the iPod is still reading information from my main drive, though the entire iTunes folder including all mp3s have been deleted from it.

    fixed!

  • My iPod 5th gen is not turning on after iOS 8 update!

My iPod 5th gen is not turning on after iOS 8 update! Before this all happened, I noticed that my apps crashed unexpectedly, it was laggy, and it decides to reset on its own at times. I CAN'T charge or plug it into my computer. Also, my home button is sunk in but my sleep/wake button at the top is most definitely not. I know my iPod was not running out of battery and I did not even power it off. I am very disappointed but I really need it to turn on =/

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
Ignore the reset and when it says place the iPod in recovery mode
Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs:
    For PC
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
    or
    http://joshuabailey1997.wordpress.com/2010/09/02/recboot-v1-3/
    If necessary:
    Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
    and
    RecBoot tip
RecBoot may have problems on 64X windows, then try:
Tenorshare ReiBoot – Enter & Exit iPhone, iPad, iPod Recovery Mode with a Single Click
    For MAC or PC
    The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
    Installs blootware on PC too
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

When I tried the first time it asked me if i wanted it to stop syncing and to restore. It gave the choices of yes and cancel, i didn't click either because the option box went away and it just stopped restoring on its own. I did the store again and now it is asking if i want to set up as a new ipod or to restore to Andrea's ipod. Should I set up as new?

  • I just got a new computer and my iPOD will not sync to it because of the old computer. How can I get my library to sync on the new computer????

I originally synced my iPOD to my PC in April 2011.  I purchased a new computer but my iPOD will not sync to it because it is synced to the old PC.  I do not want to erase my iPOD to sync with the new PC because I have loaded alot of music from CD's to it.  HELP!

Make sure your new computer is authorized in iTunes. Disable autosync in itunes, connect your ipod, right click on it in the device list and choose backup.
This will save data, pictures and settings to itunes. See what's included in this backup here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
Transfer your purchases the same way to copy all apps and bought media from the Store to your computer.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer to be able the merge your calendars and contacts after your ipod got wiped during the first sync.
The rest of the data can be restored from the backup you made.

As mentioned by vazandrew, music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

  • IPod classic not syncing because I do not have the privilege?

My ipod will not sync with my computer because itunes says i do not have the privilege to do so. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I have synced my ipod to the exact computer before and never had a problem until now. Even after I updated my itunes I was still having this problem.

    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

  • I accidentally deleted my whole i tune library. I was able to retrieve the entire library, but all my play lists have dissapeared and iTunes says that my ipod is not synced with this computer. Can i sync my playlists from my ipod to my itunes?

i accadentally deleted my entire library (over 10,000 song) when i was trying to delete an old back up file off an external hard drive. Now when i open I Tunes and connect my ipod, a message says tht my ipod is not synced with this computer. This is the only computer this ipod has ever been synced to, so i don't know how to reconnect the two. I was able to restore all my music to the itunes library, but I lost all my playlists. I spent considerable time creating the playlists and they are stll on my ipod. Can I somehow sync in a way that my ipod can give the computer my play lists?

With your iPod connected to iTunes right->click on it's device name in the left hand pane of iTunes under devices and select Export Playlists.
