Ipod 5G Video - Sync Mac/PC
I initially synced my ipod to my PC. I now have a Macbookpro and just starting to use for often then my PC.
Should I have a problem if I resync to my Mac ???? Can one switch back and forth from PC to Mac????
zimer
Opinion. Am I better off using with Mac than PC??? Seem to be using my Macpro a lot lately and being new at Mac, its funs learning a whole new system.
If I do decide to sync with Mac, how best can I move my MP3's, aac files off ipod, re-sync or reformat to factory settings and then move my music back on??? Just export out or do I new some software???

ITunes video sync mac to ipad does not work
Question of my managing director:
here I have a mac (lion) and an iPad3 (64 GB). In iTunes he has bought a movie "Battleship" HD-version and he wants to synchronize it with his iPad3.
It is correctly marked in iTunes for sync, there is enough free space left on the iPad and the sync works well without any fault. But the final result is,
that this video does not appear in "Videos" on the iPad.
On the other hand, the sync of music videos works fine, but not with movies he bought in iTunes.
Both, mac and ipad have the same iTunes account. There are no other restrictions set on the iPad.
What can I do? Thanks in advance for your supportCheck to be sure you have set the correct default calendar on your phone. Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>tap Default Calendar (in the Calendar section near the bottom). You probably don't want to choose "Calendar" under On My iPhone.

I have Mac itunes and a touch 2G. My wife has Win7 and touch 4G (both iOS 4.2.1). She got a new iphone, I now have her touch 4G, and am trying to sync it to my Mac itunes. The music and videos sync to the 4G, but apps & podcast will not. All are checked to sync. During sync, it gets to "determining apps to sync" then immediately goes to "finished syncing". No apps or podcasts from my Mac itunes are on the touch 4G.
You can only sync to one iTunes library but you can manage music and videos among different computer/libraries.
It appears that you are trying to sync with a different library.
- If you want to make the Mac you syncing computer:
--- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by:
iOS: How to back up
--- Restore the iPod from that backup. Note that synced media like apps and music are not in included in the backup. -
5th Generation iPod won't sync video, says "format not supported"
My 5th gen iPod has stopped syncing video that formerly was happily synced, including a TV show I bought in iTunes. Only one video, a movie I converted in Handbrake, still syncs.
Anybody got any ideas?Maybe try to repair the iPod's HD using Disk Utility located in the Applications -> Utilities folder. If that doesn't help, try a low level reformat of the drive using the same application. Make sure you choose Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) as the file system format.

Is it possible to sync an iPod Touch with a mac and a pc?
Is it possible to sync an iPod Touch with a mac and a pc?
You can only sync an iPod touch to one computer for music, videos, movies and apps. You could, however, sync to the Mac for media content and the Windows system for contacts.

When I hook my ipod up to my mac I used to get the Itunes has detected an ipod that appears to be corrupted error message. It would then sync all my song to the ipod but when I ejected it, none of the songs would be on the ipod. Now I hook it up and I get the Mac OS X can't repair the disk error message. Then the spinning colored pinwheel pops up and I can't use iTunes. Please HELP!!!!!!
Sounds like your iPod is broken. Take it to Apple or someone else who repairs iPods and see if you can get it fixed, or get it replaced.

Copy the music from Nano to computer by:

Then just sync to the new device

I bought a MAC for the first time and plugged my Itouch into it to download my music on it, but is says The iPod “Rick's IPOD” is synced with another iTunes library. An iPod can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. What should I do?
Same as you would if you bought a pc; copy everything from your old computer to your new one. Then you can just sync everything from the new computer, as you did with the old one.

My ipod touch was synced with another computer that I no longer have. Will I be able to tranfer my music and videos to my new conputer without losing the items I didn't purchase from itunes.
Move or copy all the media from the old computer or the backup of the old computer to the new computer.
iDevices are not backup devices. -
I have an ipod that is synced with an old PC, and now I have a Mac and I want the ipod to sync the photos on it with the Itunes on my Mac, but it says it was synced with another ipod. How can I accomplish this?
Is it the same user/iTunes account or...?
Syncing to a new computer should give you the opportunity to replace the exisiting contents with the new. -
Sync iPod 2G notes with mac?
I have a new Macbook, and I often take notes on my old iPod 2G. So I tried to find a way to sync my iPod notes with my Mac notes application.
But there is no function for this in iTunes and I heard that you can only sync with the Mac notes app with iClud. The problem is, tht my iPod is not iCloud compatible, any ideas?
Pls help meIt is Mac OS 10.8.3 and of course I read the information provided by Apple. Unfortunately, Apple has forgotten their users with older devices. The information provided are not applicable for iOS 4.2.1. There aren't any switches to activate note syncing. What now? I urgently need my notes and emailing is not the solution.

My iPod won't sync videos, photos, restore....
I got a 30gb iPod video (5G) and the latest iTunes installed. I managed to sync all my music into the ipod but when i tried to sync some videos (already on mpg4 format), after like 2 minutes of waiting, i get the following error: "The iPod 'username's iPod' cannot be synced. The disk could not be read from or written to." I tried re-installing iTunes, and restoring iPod to factory's settings but with no success. Instead I get an unknown (1418) error, after some time in the "Restoring 'username's iPod" status bar. What is happening?
I am having the same issue. I have the latest iTunes version and can't Sync my photos. I can't remove the photos on the iPod and can't add new ones. I get the same message about unable to Sync because it can't find the folder yet iTunes lists the selected folder and knows how many photos are in it. I've tried everything short of restoring the ipod. I don't want to have to load all the songs back on there if I can avoid it. Any suggestions?

I have an ipod classic 120 gb. I had it set up so that I manually sync and manage my music. Twice I have had my ipod plugged into my mac and it had erased everything on my ipod. All the music on my itunes was still in my library, but all the other music was lost. I understand that I need to go back to the other libraries I got that music from, but how do I make sure that my ipod doesn't keep syncing and erasing itself? Also, now every five minutes a message will pop up on my itunes saying that it cannot sync because of an unknown error and then it has the number 13014. I have no idea what that is about. Does anyone else go through this? How do I fix it?
Well the iPod is supposed to be synced from YOUR iTunes music library, if you used other means to put music on there then the iPod is going to sync to only what's on your itunes music library when you connect it.
You need to put the files into itunes.
Far as your other issues, sounds like the drive is dying.
