Ipod 5th generation started loosing its battery really fast and now it wont even turn on.

My iPod 5th generation is just over a year old and its screen is a bit cracked. a couple of months ago it started to keep its battery less and less and it would go to 100% battery after a couple of minutes and then when unplugged it would die just as quickly. For the past week or so I've had to use it plugged in as it was barely keeping any charge (1 minute) at the most.Last night I was using it and i unplugged it and put it on the shelf i presumed it would be okay through the night as i wasn't using it. But when i woke up it wasn't turning on at all and so i plugged it into the charger. The apple symbol came up for about a minute and then the screen went blank. I thought I'd leave it plugged in to see what would happen but it kept repeating the symbol to blankscreen process. If anyone knows whats wrong with it or how to fix it please tell me. as it took me a long time to save up for it and its a big loss of money for me.

my iphone 3g was freezing on the text message screen so i tried to reset it by holding the top button and the home button. now it wont even turn back on. the apple logo comes on then turns off 10sec lter. any suggestions?

When the iPhone only shows the Apple logo and then turns off, it usually indicates an issue with the software that is preventing the phone from completing it's boot sequence. This can be remedied by putting the phone into DFU mode and restoring it. By restoring the phone, the software and firmware will be removed and replaced with a fresh set and the content will be removed from the phone and need to be resynced.
To put the phone into DFU mode:
    1. Make sure the phone is connected to the computer
    2. Hold down the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time for 8 seconds
    3. Let go of the sleep/wake button and keep holding down the home button
    4. If you are successful, a dialog box will pop up in iTunes stating that iTunes has detected an iPod/iPhone in recovery mode and the phone's display will remain black.
    5. Click OK, then click the restore button in iTunes.
Hopefully after that, the iPhone will be up and running so you can sync your content back.
    I hope this helps!

ALL of your music should be on your computer in itunes.  Is it not?
How did it get on your ipod in the first place if not from your comptuer?
Everything on your ipod should be on your computer and you should be syncing regularly.

  • I Let my Ipods battery run out and now it wont Charge or turn on

Well it started yesterday when i noticed my Ipods battery was running out quicker then usual so i got told to just drain the battery (Let it run out of power) so i did that and now when i try and charge it wont responde at all any ideas???
Ive tryed reseting it wont work doesnt responde to reseting

How long have you been charging it since you let it run all the way down (not a really good idea with a lithium ion battery, by the way)?
It sounds as if you were already having problems with the battery. Are you sure your cable and USB ports (or AC charger) are all functioning correctly? If yes, you may need to have your iPod serviced. A 3rd gen should still be under warranty.
    Best of luck.

  • I tried to update my ipod to iOS 6.0.1 software but it froze of a while so i attempted to restart it, now it wont even turn on! The screen changes colors everytime. I held down the lock and the home botton to try to restart it but nothing works!

I have absolutly no acess at all and the only thing that does anything is the lock and home button if i hold them down together but it seems to repeat the process with no progress but a color change. I just want to fix this problem without ruining anything on my ipod.

  • My iPhone 5s is loosing its battery very fast like if I charge it 80-90% at night then till morning it gets off. Please help is it battery problem or ios update. I updated it to ios 7.1

IPhone 5s battery getting drained up very soon is it problem of battery of its ios 7.1 problem.
Like if I charge it to 90% at night till 11 pm then till morning at 7 am I found it dead.
Please suggest me what to do.
Should I opt for battery replacement.

Return the iPhone personally or via friend/relative/co-worker who is in
the US. The warranty is valid only in the country of original purchase - the USA
in this case. Apple will not accept international shipments for evaluation nor
will Apple ship out of the country after repair/replacement.
How did the iPhone from the US get to you in India? Reverse that process to
get it back to the US so someone can take it into Apple.
