IPod 5thGen - Game sync issues

Downloaded 3 games only one shows up in the Games Tab. Able to play the game on the iPod. The other two..no idea what happened
The Ipg file are there in the itunes directory on C:

Yay, found the source for this problem which drove me nuts. Just had to copy the songs (which caused the issues) from the iTunes folder into an other. Was quite easy, just drag'n'drop the songs into that other folder and let iTunes find them.
-> Problem solved, sync works as intended!

  • Ipod 160G constant sync issues

I need help. For oh the last 7 months or so I have been having constant, chronic syncing issues with my Ipod. I used to love this thing to death, now I want to beat it to death.
At purely random times when I sync my Ipod I will get the infamous -50 error code. Which then freezes the sync process, which then wipes out my Ipod. I restore it, make a new playlist, and GUARANTEED somewhere in the first 5000 songs or so, it will hiccup during a sync, freeze the itunes, empty the freaking Ipod. Contrary to what I've read on here, it isn't always songs I've burned. It can be a podcast, a song I bought from Itunes, or one I burned from my CDs. It can happen a few days or a few weeks after I do the restore, rename, new playlist trick. I have 24000 songs and it's getting way beyond tedious trying to get to the letter E in my collection. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • IPod Touch Music Syncing Issue

Using iTunes 10.7, I'm trying to add music to my 4G iPod touch running 6.1.2.  The files appear within the iPod sidebar Music tab, greyed out with the sync icon next to them but they never finish copying; they just stay grey and nothing happens.  I am able to select and delete them, and they remain after I unplug and plug back in, but the iPod never shows anything in Music.  When I add files manually, the sync icon replaces the sidebar eject icon, during which time it is able to create playlists in the sidebar, but then the sync ends immediately and the iTunes status bar never displays the copying process, just the Apple logo.  Same thing happens whether I add 1 file or 100 files.  Same thing happens whether I sync music automatically or manually (I have switched between the two methods several times).  I have tried adding new files and different file formats to my iTunes library; those ones don't work either.  I have also tried restoring from the iPod backup, and resetting the iPod entirely, but I still get the same result.  Additionally, I am able to manage Apps as usual.
Anybody have any ideas?  As a last resort, I may try re-installing iTunes 10.7, but I would prefer to find a fix for this without upgrading iTunes to 11 or 12.

I had already tried that and I got the same problem.  I did get the issue resolved, although I don't know the reason it was acting up.  What I did was upgrade iTunes to iTunes 11, update the iPod to 6.1.6, then downgrade back to iTunes 10.7

  • IPod Touch/MacBook syncing issues

My iPod Touch won't update it's software anymore.  Claims it's up to date, but the version I have is 6.1.5.  I still use the original cord.  I'm thinking my MacBook is the problem?  I haven't bought any new software so I'm still running with Mac OS X (10.6.8)  I've also tried to do clean up on my Mac but nothing seems to happen.  It runs very slow for online gaming(Facebook games), which is what I use it for most.  Almost a year ago I hooked my Aunt's iPhone to my MacBook to transfer pics using my cord.  Could that be the problem?  How can I fix this?

    Restore...
Note that it's easy to do but it's quite time-consuming.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."

  • IPod touch strange sync issue

I just got a new macbook pro and I needed to transfer my iTunes info from a PC to and external formated for PCs to the Mac.
I got everything into iTunes and the music and videos will play fine without the external. All of the files are on the Mac.
However, when I try syncing my 30GB touch iTunes says I need about 24GB more space.
This cannot be true because iTunes says I have about 31GB of stuff and I unchecked a lot of things.
I thought about restoring but I'd rather not loose all the info on my apps.
Is there some reason why iTunes would be trying to add all my music to what I already had instead of replacing it and how to I stop it?
    Thanks.

    - When you change syncing computers you have restore the iPod on the new computer from a backup of the iPod with all apps in the iTunes library. Synced media like apps and music are not in the backup.
    - If you d id, how much is in the "other" category as shown in the colored bargraph in iTunes? If greater that about 1 GB that indicates corrupted file and a restore is necessary.

  • IPod Touch 5G Sync Issue

The Too Long, Didn't Read, Nutshell Version:  Is there any way to get iTunes and the iPod to sync at the same time without hanging every bleeping time?
This is driving me absolutely NUTS.  I've had this problem for months now ever since the visually beautiful, reminiscent of Android OS, but PITA iOS 7 launch where the sync just doesn't want to work.  I'm starting to think that there is a communication problem between iTunes and my iPod within the program (my cord is fine), as iTunes finished its sync long before my iPod did.  Or they simply decide to commit digital murder/suicide, but I can never tell which one is the instigator.
It happens so often that it just HANGS there on "waiting for items to copy", and it's the iPod that's stuck on a random song (it changes every time). This is so bleeping frustrating; all I want is to be able to sync whenever I want to, instead of dreading the thought of having to do it.  I need to spend a day (or weekend sometimes) at the computer, wiping my iPod numerous times, trying to get digital stars and constellations to line up so that the sync finally works, and I don't have to do it for a few months.
Even Media Monkey doesn't work, and hangs as well!
Here's what sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't (Note: the following trouble-shooting that I've done is on a Windows 7 64 bit system, with all Apple programs completely updated):
    1) Turn off iTunes, unplug device
    2) Go into Task Manager, turn off all Apple programs (mostly Sync Services, but I like to be thorough)
    3) C;/ User Name/app data/roaming/apple computer; append "_OLD" to "Sync Services" folder
    4) Wipe iPod, set as new device, no iCloud
    5) Turn Bluetooth and WiFi off
    6) Plug it into computer
    7) Set as new device
    8) Hope that it finally works
    Any other suggestions?

  • IPod Classic Contacts sync issue...

I've restored and re-booted my iPod Classic from the ground up - including re-syncing my 7 and a half thousand tunes - in an effort to see if I could kick-start the sync-ing of all the Contacts in my iMAC - but to no avail. I followed up by selecting "Manual Sync" as suggested on the Help menu and only chose to sync "Info". That didn't work either. However, the Calendar is now showing up on the Classic, but no matter what I do, it still shows "No Contacts"...

I almost shouted from the rooftops when I read your reply planb77 of Easter Island because it sounded like the perfect fix!
Sadly, I switched the System Prefs in Contacts back to On My Mac as you suggested and still no joy.
I also went into the "Accounts" tab to the right of the "General" tab and switched that to "On My Mac - Local" to see if that would make any difference and again, nix.
Unless of course I have to re-boot after the switching...
Sincerely, thanks for the assist - back to the drawing board : (

  • Ipod to Ical syncing issues

My computer will perfectly synch any event I put into iCal to my iphone. The problem is, whatever event I have put only on my iphone it doesn't sync it to my iCal.I completely rebooted my iphone, still nothing.  Can someone please help me? I cannot seem to find a solution.

Me too - it's hanging on "Syncing calendars with..." TiBook G4 w/10.4.11, 16G iPod touch, just updated to 2.0. Also, I had a lot of email messages on the iPod that it had pulled down independently (not through an "email sync" with the computer). All of these seem to have been lost on the update to 2.0.

  • IPod 5thGen-Connects & Syncs w/ iTunes, then disconnects and won't charge!

When I plug my iPod into the USB port on the computer, it starts up, gives me the "do not disconnect" warning, syncs with iTunes, then turns on as normal for a few seconds.
After less than a minute, the computer ignores it. The external device icon disappears from the tray and the iPod shuts off. It does NOT charge. It's as if the computer just pretends it's not there.
It was charging fine last week. I have the latest iPod updater and the latest iTunes.
    HELP!

    Try restoring the iPod.

  • IPod Nano Ratings Sync Issue

Since I got my iPod Nano 5G, my song ratings seem to be changing arbitrarily in iTunes. This is a hassle because I use the song ratings to make sure music I like is on the iPod. I have tried updating iTunes, the iPod software, and restoring the iPod, but nothing seems to work. Is there anything else I can try? Does anyone else have this problem?

  • Sync issues, help!

My 5th gen 30 gb ipod has a sync issue. If I delete an itunes song, that is already on my ipod, from my hard drive and try to add any new songs to the ipod, the computer takes the deleted song off my ipod. Make sense? I can't find any default settings that address it.
I use an older sony vaio laptop with windows xp.
    Thanks.

If you are using autosync to manage your music on the iPod, the purpose of the autosync is to make the iPod content a mirror image of the content in your iTunes library. In other words, file deleted from main library will be deleted from the iPod on the next autosync. If you wish to stop this from happening, you will have to set your iPod preferences when the iPod is docked to "manually manage" your iPod content.

  • Like many others, I got the new iPad 3 and couldn't sync all of my photos.  The best i got was 1,000 out of 15,000 to work.  Today Apple released iTunes 10.6.1.7 and said the syncing issue was resolved.  I erased my ipod cache and hit sync.  Still locked.

Like many others, I got my new IPad 3 and could not sync all of my photos.  The highest I got was 1,000 out of 15,000.  Today Apple released iTunes 10.6.1.7 that , among other things, said it fixed the sync issue with photos.  I excitedly, erased my ipod cache and hit sync.  It looked like it was working, but just like before iTunes locked.  This time at 2,244 of 15,000.  Anybody have an idea of how to fix this?

What's the capacity of your iPad?
iTunes needs up to 3x of the actual size of the files you want to sync during the sync process. And syncing 15.000 photos could cross the size of the available free space on your device.
Don't forget that the pictures are now optimized for the retina display, so the size increases for each of them.

  • My ipod nano was synced by itunes and removed all of my music and game files. I am in the process of adding my music back one cd at a time, but there is no history of tetris that I paid for from the itunes store. How can I get this game back for my ipod?

My ipod nano was synced by itunes and removed all of my music and game files, and replaced my music with my kids music that they have put into the current itunes library. My music is nowhere to be found on my computer, so now  I am in the long, forever process of adding my music back one cd at a time, but there is no history of tetris that I paid for from the itunes store. How can I get this game back for my ipod?

Contact iTunes support and explain your situation to them.  They may let you redownload it at no cost.

If they don't, I'm afraid you'll have to purchase it again.  Sorry.
