IPod 60 Gb is really only 55?

Hi!
I just got my new iPod. While browsing back and forth in it i've noticed that my iPod says free 55Gb instead of 60. Does everyone has it or my iPod is somehow special?

60Gb is the size of the hard drive on the iPod. Some of the space is taken up with the HDD is formatted and when the iPod software is all installed on it. So, your 60Gb iPod would be 60Gb if there was no OS, and other software installed on the iPod, but then again, it wouldn't acutally do anything. Have no fear, that is exactly as it is supposed to be
