Ipod 6th generation not playing
hi i have ipod 6th generation and always when i lock it it stops playing and even if i let it play without locking after a while it lock automaticly and it stops anyway I tryed everything but it still doing it

Also make sure the headphone jack is clean and clear of debris and damage that could be preventing a full and proper connection with your headset.

It'll play MP3 files. Import them into an iTunes library and transfer them to it.

Ipod 1st Generation not playing on RCA RS3081i audio system w/ iPod dock
I just bought an RCA RS3081i that clearly states that it can be used with iPod Touch 1st & 2nd Generation. I have followed the instructions on how to use my iPod (1st gen) but the music will not come through the speakers, only the iPod itself. It shows that it's charging so I know it's docked correctly. I have also tried using my cell phone to play mp3s through the line in and that also won't work. The speakers are set up correctly as the radio and cd player on the system works fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
An update to the issue:
I just tried my friend's Video iPod in the radio and it worked perfectly.
Apparently, there is something wrong with the Shuffle itself that triggers the radio to turn off. As for what that problem is or what it is caused by, I'm still clueless.
It is probably some kind of defect which I'll have to have looked at.
The only suspicion is that, after browsing these forums for an identical problem, I found none. I just hope that this isn't something that is being transfered from computer to iPod and then on to the iH30 radio, as my security and virus protection on this laptop is weak.

I want iPod 6th generation back in the stores. Not all the watches play songs and radio!

My 2nd generation ipod touch will not play audio books
My 2nd generation ipod touch will not play audio books. How do I fix this? I downloaded the books from iTunes on my computer. I loaded them on my ipod. It shows them on my ipod. It will go to the menu where you can choose which book and then actually pulls up the book then acts like it is going to play. Then it just goes back to the list of books. It won't play any of them. It will play music though.
How do I fix this?The books do play in iTunes on the computer, right?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and audion book and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

It sounds like the Repeat setting has been turned on/enabled. See your iPod's User Guide for information on how to disable it.

IPod nano 6th generation not charging, not showing in iTunes, won't reset
iPod 6th generation, completely out of battery. Won't charge off iMac, plug socket or Macbook. Won't show up in iTunes in any either. Won't reset using the method i found on here (volume down button and sleep/awake button for 8-20 seconds).
Any suggestions?

My ipod 6th generation froze and now won't turn on. HELP!
My car stereo will only support my ipod 6th generation if it has the right software updates. It was not playing my music today so I plugged my ipod into my computer and updated it to version 1.1. I added a few songs and unplugged it and put it into my car stereo. it froze up my stereo and the ipod itself and would not go back to the normal screen. It stayed frozen for about 45 minutes and now the ipod will not even turn on when i plug it into my computer. has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know what i can do about this?! i use my ipod every day
Most likely the iPod is fried. Take it into an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Provider so they can run a diagnostic on it and see what exactly is going on. Most likely the battery or HDD.

Hi, so the story is about a month ago i had brought in my Ipod 6th generation in to an apple store because the sleep button was stuck down (that ipod was from this past christmas). It was under warenty so I got another one free, but now this new one wont
1. Show up on Itunes
2. When it rarely does (it shows up randomly even when its not plugged in) It says its corrupted. I hit restore and that bar goes on forever!
Ive uninstalled and reinstalled itunes tons of times and that doesnt work, ive restarted my computer which doesnt help. ive reseted my ipod by the buttons and the settings hundreds of times! Disk mode ive gone into but i dont really know whats supposed to happen after i plug it in. I have added songs to my library after my old ipod broke and before i got the new one if that makes a difference. My old ipod (6 generation) worked fine on my labtop with no troubles at all so im ripping my hair out trying to figure out what i need to do.Ipod NANO, forgot to mention that.

I keep getting error "13019" when trying to sync my Nano iPod 6th generation. The fixes listed in "Troubleshooting" haven't worked, any solution.

Not possible, and since the Restrictions Passcode is included with your iPhone's backup, you must restore the iPhone as a new iPhone or not from the backup.
