  • My Nano has no sound when connected to car stereo USB

My Nano has no sound when I connect it to my car stereo USB.  The display works though

Why don't you try changing the input on the car stereo? I have a '13 Honda Odyssey and whenever I plug in my 7th gen nano I have to press a button labeled "USB/Aux" to switch to the Nano. I would also make sure to check that it is nano compatible, that the volume is up and that the stereo is on. Not to make you sound dumb, but you honestly might feel that way if you had the stereo off, I know I would (and have!)

  • My iPod 5th generation has no sound only head phone has a sound. How to fix the problem?i already tried reset settings and power on/off button.

I have  a problem of  5th generation of iPod .It has headphone sound but not out sound I mean without headphone there is no soung.I  how can Solve the problem?

I have the same problem too. I tried turning it off, and it still didn't work. If you keep your headphones in a lot, I believe that is the problem. I am no tech expert, but when you put in your headphones, it triggers something and that something might be stuck. When I turn upp my vokume when my headphones are not in, it says "headphones". Pretty weird.

  • My iPod 7th gen has no sound

My new iPod nano 7th gen will not give out any sounds,

    Hi guys,
I have just received my second iPod nano from Amazon.  I had to return the first one as I had no sound coming out and the Apple Support guy - after resetting and restoring the original factory settings, said that it was probably defect and that I should send it back - which I did.
Just received the replacement and surprise, surprise, there is no sound coming out of this one either!!
I've reset this one with the Power and Home buttons, made sure that the Volume Limiter in the Settings is set to OFF, and turned the volume up to the max, but still no sound.
If I have to send this one back, it's the last device I buy from Apple.  There is of course the possibility that I am completely stupid and I'm doing something fundamentally wrong, in which case shine a light guys, shine a light!
Other than that I have been all over the Internet before I landed here and there really does seem to be a problem with iPod nanos.
    Yours, in deep frustration,

  • My new Iphone 5 has no sounds when connected to car's bluetooth. Never a problem with iPhone 4.

I just upgraded from an iPhone 4 to a 5, and upon conneecting my 5 to my car's bluetooth (2010 Acura TSX) I no longer hear sounds. This could be the lock sound, text alerts, or email "dings". All of them are muted. If i turn bluetooth off they re-appear without an issue.
I suspect the problem is that the iPhone is sending all of the audio to the bluetooth, however since I have the radio on and don't have it on Bluetooth audio then my car isn't playing the sounds. I don't get how to fix this as it was never a problem on my Iphone4 running iOS5.1
has anyone fixed this while being able to keep their bluetooth on so the handsfree works. For now i just put my phone on silent so that itvibrates however sometimes i forget and then miss alerts.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Andrew

could also check with an acura dealer to see if there is an update for your bluetooth software on the car.
a new product like the iphone 5 is designed by the most up to date bluetooth regulations and frequencies and all that techno stuff, and if the software on your car is not up to date its going by 2010 specs.

  • Firefox 4 has no sound when connected to my internet radio site

Well i just tried to upgrade from 3.6 to 4.0 only to immediately discover this lost my ability to listen to eve radio.com. (streaming internet radio) Both FF versions had the same plugins and such enabled and up to date in particular the WMP addon, checked volume/mixer on the computer and site etc etc but gave up and uninstalled 4 and reinstalled 3.6. Not sure if its the windows media player not working with the new 4.0 or what, but i will be sticking to 3.6 until this works with the new version.

I can not hear a local radio station ..www.dundalkfm.com.. using Firefox 4 but can pick it up with IE.
Not only that but it is almost impossible to locate the station website using Google or any other search engine but it can be found using a backdoor route.
Curiously a new internet radio station in the same region near Dundalk Ireland which has only begun transmission on Sunday 19-June-2011 can be picked up on Firefox 4 and already the station website can found immediately with Google.
I KNOW beyond any shadow or question of doubt that it is purely coincidental that the same lad who set up both websites is the main man with the new radio station !!
Is there any other possible reason or solution for this situation ????
I have just downloaded Firefox 5 in the hope that it might change matters but I do not really think it will .
So ..anyone out there who might be able to help ??

  • My iPod touch has no sound when I play music or use the iPod touch at all.  Yes, the volume in the "sounds" is all the way up.  It has not been dropped or gotten wet.  I turned it off and on.  now what?

My ipod touch (4th generation) has no sound.  I have turned it off and on.....I have the volume up in the "sounds" area.  When I push the side volume button, there is no image that appears in the screen that shows that I am either raising or lowering the volume.  Do I need to just rest the ipod touch as a new device? Or is there someting else I can try?

And, now when I do press the side volume buttons, the image appears but with the words' "sound effects."  what does that mean?

  • Updated my Windows 8 and updated Itunes to newest versions and now my Ipod 7th Generation Nano is not recognized on my computer or Itunes anymore. I have went thru all steps instructed and offered here so what else can I do?

Recently have updated my Windows 8 and updated Itunes to mose recent version available. My Ipod 7th Generation Nano worked, connected and synced without difficulty prior to this updating, Now when I plug into my computer it will pop up Itunes but say that this Ipod is not recognized. I have done multiple steps offered to try and nothing has worked. Any other suggestions would be helpful. I just got this Ipod for Christmas and now can't even use it to sync content anymore.

Try a different cable. And are you connecting directly to your computer or through a USB hub?

  • IPod 7th generation and Nike

    Hi there!
I currently have an iPod 6th generation that I was using with a Polar Nike + compatible Hr Monitor, until I was no longer able to get Cals burned info when I was doing any other activity outside of Running.  I am wondering if the iPod 7th Generation will support other activities outside of running like the 6th generation used to?  or have they removed this feature all together?  Also I now use the new Polar H7 bluetooth strap, will it be compatible??  Thanks and any help on these burning questions would be much appreciated!!

    Hey SeanW89,
Thanks for the question. The iPod nano 7th generation has bluetooth functionality that can connect to the Nike+ sensor. You do not need to purchase the USB kit, but rather just the sensor itself:
Nike + iPod Sensor - Apple Store (U.S.)

iPod nano (7th generation): Frequently used features
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5470
    Connect to Bluetooth accessories
You can connect your iPod nano to compatible Bluetooth headsets and other accessories, including some hands-free systems in newer cars. You can also connect to a Nike+ sensor or a Bluetooth heart-rate monitor. iPod nano supports A2DP for audio streaming and AVRCP for controlling playback on Bluetooth devices.
Note: FM radio will not play through a Bluetooth accessory.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • Ipod 7th generation skipping song

    Hello everybody,
I'm new on this forum. This is my problem:
I have an iPod 7th generation. I have 300 mp3 on my iPod. Some of those are skipping when I listen but, if I connect iPod to my pc, open iTunes and go on "iPod of user" then select "music" and play those .mp3, then they play correctly.
What can I do? Download another time?

    Hey there superbeda,
If these songs play just fine on your iTunes library but continue to skip when played on your iPod Nano 7th gen, I would next reset your device with these steps:
iPod nano (7th generation): Hardware troubleshooting
Reset iPod nano. First, make sure iPod nano is charged. Then press the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for six seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then test the issue again. If it persists, I would restore the iPod with iTunes on your computer:
    Restoring iPod to factory settings
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

    Hello HoopsMD,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that the display on your iPod nano (7th generation) is not responding to your touch as you would expect. In this situation, I would recommend reading over the attached article and working through the steps within to help resolve this issue.
iPod nano (7th generation): Hardware troubleshooting - Apple Support
    Display
Follow these steps if your iPod doesn't respond to your input or has a display-related issue.
Screen is unresponsive and displays Apple logo or white screen
Reset iPod by holding down the Sleep/Wake button and Home button until you see the Apple logo appear. If the Apple logo appears on the display, connect iPod to a computer and verify that it appears in iTunes.
If the Apple logo does not appear, or if the iPod is not seen in iTunes, connect it to iTunes and try to restore.
Touch screen does not accept input
Clean the screen with a microfiber polishing cloth.
Do not wear gloves while using the touchscreen. Do not use the touchscreen with wet hands or immediately after applying hand lotion. Moisture affects touchscreen behavior in the same manner as it affects a trackpad.
If you have a protective plastic sheet or film on the touchscreen, try removing it, because it may be preventing the touchscreen from working properly.
The current application may be unresponsive; try resetting iPod by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home buttons simultaneously for a least six seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Sync with iTunes and restore the iPod.
    Have a great day,
    Joe

  • My iPod 5th generation has been stolen.

My iPod 5th generation has been stolen and I don't have my box. Can I get the imei number without using itunes? In itunes, it's showing only the serial number. And they say that iDevices cannot be tracked with serial number.

    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
