IPod 7th generation won't change radio station
My iPod switched to a different radio station while I was listening to it and now I can't get it to change to any other station. Is it possible to have it keep at one station? I'd like to do that once I can get it to switch back to my preferred station, if that's possible. It is frequently switching to a different station on me. This iPod is very quirky and is driving me nuts. I did a reset on it but that had no effect.
Not all iTunes video can be transferred to iPod, please make sure your video is compatible with iPod. If the video resolution or video bit rate beyond iPod limitation, you can't upload them to iPod. For example, some iTunes purchased movie are High definition movie, the resolution is too high to play on iPod Nano. You can highlight the problem video in iTunes and choose Create iPod or iPhone version from the Advanced drop down menu. When the conversion process has completed, sync the new version to your iPod. Get a flashlight and make sure there is no obstruction/dirt/debris in the Nano headphone jack. Be sure you plug the headphones all the way in, the plastic on the headset jack should be flush with the body of the Nano.

I currently have an iPod 6th generation that I was using with a Polar Nike + compatible Hr Monitor, until I was no longer able to get Cals burned info when I was doing any other activity outside of Running. I am wondering if the iPod 7th Generation will support other activities outside of running like the 6th generation used to? or have they removed this feature all together? Thanks for the question. The iPod nano 7th generation has bluetooth functionality that can connect to the Nike+ sensor. You do not need to purchase the USB kit, but rather just the sensor itself:

How do I restore the ipod 7th generation to a previous backup
Can the ipod 7th generation be restored to a previous backup? I just replaced my ipod because of a defective battery and I want to restore the playlists exactly as they were on the old one.
You have to sync them again from your computer. There is no backup.

I have an iPod 7th generation. I have 300 mp3 on my iPod. Some of those are skipping when I listen but, if I connect iPod to my pc, open iTunes and go on "iPod of user" then select "music" and play those .mp3, then they play correctly.

If these songs play just fine on your iTunes library but continue to skip when played on your iPod Nano 7th gen, I would next reset your device with these steps:
iPod nano (7th generation): Hardware troubleshooting
Reset iPod nano. First, make sure iPod nano is charged. Then press the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for six seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then test the issue again. If it persists, I would restore the iPod with iTunes on your computer:

Recently have updated my Windows 8 and updated Itunes to mose recent version available. My Ipod 7th Generation Nano worked, connected and synced without difficulty prior to this updating, Now when I plug into my computer it will pop up Itunes but say that this Ipod is not recognized. I have done multiple steps offered to try and nothing has worked. Any other suggestions would be helpful. I just got this Ipod for Christmas and now can't even use it to sync content anymore.
Try a different cable. And are you connecting directly to your computer or through a USB hub?

Plug your iPod in and when it appears in iTunes, click on it from under Devices in the left hand pane. This brings you to the Summary tab. Locate and click on the Music tab. What configurations do you have made from under this tab? Is your iPod configured to sync those playlists?

IPod 7th generation shows no music in menu, but does on iTunes
I operate on a Windows platform with iTunes SW ver 11.2.2.3 and an iPod 7th generation with SW version 1.0.3. Both identified as latest.
All was good until the battery drained out completely. I have since been able to synch music and audiobooks that show up on iTunes as being loaded on the iPod.
But when I use the iPod menu, the "Music" icon no longer takes me to the menu list (music, audiobiiks, etc) but to a screen with musical notes on it and says there's nothing.
Tried to synch it on an Apple computer and it worked. Reset it to the Windows computer and it doesn't.
Anyone can help please?I have had this same problem for over a month with a Win7 system. I have been working with AppleCare Support all along and we have even replaced the Nano twice without resolution. We tried different cables, different USB ports, uninstalled iTunes, ran CCleaner to correct registry errors, restarted, reinstalled iTunes, etc, etc several times. I posted my problem along with a lengthy explanation earlier tonight. I have documented everything that I have done with Apple and we are both stumped.
Lets hope someone can figure out what causes the directory on the Nano not to recognize that tracks have been loaded. -

Ignore the reset and when it says place the iPod in recovery mode
Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs:

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Display
Follow these steps if your iPod doesn't respond to your input or has a display-related issue.
Screen is unresponsive and displays Apple logo or white screen
Reset iPod by holding down the Sleep/Wake button and Home button until you see the Apple logo appear. If the Apple logo appears on the display, connect iPod to a computer and verify that it appears in iTunes.
If the Apple logo does not appear, or if the iPod is not seen in iTunes, connect it to iTunes and try to restore.
Touch screen does not accept input
Clean the screen with a microfiber polishing cloth.
Do not wear gloves while using the touchscreen. Do not use the touchscreen with wet hands or immediately after applying hand lotion. Moisture affects touchscreen behavior in the same manner as it affects a trackpad.
If you have a protective plastic sheet or film on the touchscreen, try removing it, because it may be preventing the touchscreen from working properly.
The current application may be unresponsive; try resetting iPod by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home buttons simultaneously for a least six seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Sync with iTunes and restore the iPod.
