IPod and satellite radio

Is there anyway that you can record songs off of satellite radio and transfer them to the new iPod? I have satellite radio on-line.

look for a freeware program that records audio coming through your sound card. (it records anything playing on your computer) there should be alot of software out there for this.
I use a mac with the program wiretap but for the pc you have to look.

  • IPod and FM Radio

    Good day all!
As the iPod evolve with time, I think it would be nice in the new firware revision to include a nice feature that would complement the iPod.
As a owner of the Apple FM Tuner addon on my iPod 80Gb, it is sometime ackward to browse the FM tuner, especially if you have many "saved" stations. I think a new feature should be added to implement "BANDS" when saving the FM stations on the iPod. For instance, it could be nice to be able to have 3 bands (which you would be able to rename the way you want)and when ever you save your FM station, it goes in the BAND you are currently on. So if I'm in region A and browse all my saved FM stations, I won't have to go thru all the stations for region B and C. I think this would easy the station browsing as the click wheel is not too friendly on that station browsing...
Is there any way place where the Apple folks go and check what people want for next release? That way, I could post this request?
    Thanks!

  • How do you play the radio with an iPod and the docking station model RDP-M5iP

I purchased an iPod docking station model RDP-M5iP and I cannot play the radio.  It says to plug in the headphones for radio reception but that does nothing.  Is there any way to use the radio portion of the iPod with this model?

    Hello Roger,
    Welcome to Sony Community.
This Personal Audio Docking System does not have built in radio and it seems you are playing radio from the connected iPod and wish to get the audio from Docking System Speakers. You may try checking the radio reception in the iPod. Also, you may try to playback music in the iPod and check if audio is output from the Docking System Speakers.

    - Try a reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

iTunes Radio is not yet available in Canada.
According to this Apple Support page, it is currently only available in the US and Australia which is revealed half-way down the page, between the two matrices.
For those with an aversion to scrolling, or with TL;DR issues, simply ⌘-F "iTunes Radio availability by country".

  • Media player and internet radio for IPod Touch 2g

I’ve just bought second hand IPod 2g and very disappoint. I expected will be able to download old application and enjoy maybe not new features but at least use the device. Unfortunately all which I found are not working (linke UPnPPeek) or need iOS 4.3 or higher. I’m not looking for anything new and flashy, just three things:
Simple and free UPnP/DLNA client which will play music from my NAS
Internet radio player with many stations
Something to copy files from my NAS over WiFi.
Could you help me please? I’m really frustrated on this stage after spending whole day looking for solution.

Computers are different, so you can't meaningfully compare the two types of devices. I'd suggest you research how far back the current versions of Windows Phone and Android support before you conclude that Apple is treating you unfairly. I think you'll find that Apple actually supports their hardware of this class longer than almost any other player/phone manufacturer. Your iPod was given two major operating system upgrades (with a number of new features in each) and a number of minor ones, all at no charge to you, which for a device like that seems quite reasonable to me. In addition, it's completely the developers' decision to drop support for older iPods and versions of iOS; Apple did not force them to do so.
Up to you, of course. If you feel some other device will better suit your future needs, by all means buy that device. Just do your homework before you decide so that you're not even more disappointed down the road.
    Regards.
P.S. Oh, and in just five seconds of searching I found at least a couple of streaming apps that will still work on iOS 4.2.1, at least according to the app system requirements:
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id294952511?mt=8
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id443081543?mt=8
Surely you can find something that will work for you, even if it's not ideal.

Push the headphone jack farther in. Plastic on the headset jack should be touching the frame of the Nano.

  • IPod and Car

Does anyone have any recommendations for listening to the iPod in the car. I bought these third party connectors that tune into the radio to listen to the iPod and they are not that great.
Spent almost $500.00 on iPod connector from VW for my Passat 2007 and it does not display song information through the radio. Would like something that can display song information through radio.
    Suggestion would be appreciated.
    THANKS!

    Hi Tyrone Dee,
haven't tried it myself, but what about this radio from Pioneer? It does not look ideal but at least it displays song name etc.
    Hope that helps, Lars

  • 5th gen ipod and iplay monster transmitter question...

I have the 5th gen. ipod and i just bought the iplay ipod transmitter, so that i can play my ipod through the fm radio station in my car...but when i plugged it in my ipod and followewd instructions..nothing happened..i even took it back and traded another 1 and it still wont work...is it my ipod or is the iplay transmitter just not compatible with the ipod/video? please help..im getting very frustrated with apple..they put out the new ipod with no accessory`s to match, what a bummer!!

I think I have the same cable that you are talking about and it works just fine for my 4th and 5th gen ipods. All I had to do was plug it into the cig lighter and then select a clear channel for me it was 89.1 and matched it with the push button on the Iplay.
Just to make sure we are talking about the same cable this is the one I have

  • Why there isnt direct cable or Bluetooth sync link between iPod and iPhone?

I own both the iPod and the iPhone, both linked to iTunes. It is only possible to sync between the iPod to iTunes or between the iPhone to iTunes.
Why there is no possibility to directly link and sync between the iPod and iPhone ?
I will explain why this is bothering me so much. While on vacation I bought some songs from iTunes directly from my iPhone.
When i needed these songs on my iPod, it was inpossible, becouse my PC was left at home.
Because of this I am wondering don't you think irrational the impossibility to have a direct link and sync between the iPod and iPhone via white cable or via Bluetooth connections meant only for the link sync with PC ?
I mean even Nintendo DS and SONY PSP have this kind of sync links.
Message was edited by: Arkam Knight

Rationally this means that if I can download the same things on both my devices
form the same PC based iTunes software, there must be some way to link the
same both devices directly by cable or radio frequency.
Sorry, but I do not see the logic here at all. The statement simply means iTunes can connect with multiple devices. It does not say iPods (or iPhones) can connect with each other at all. It simply doesn't work that way. I can pull a trailer with my car. You can pull a trailer with your car. Therefore my trailer should be able to pull your trailer? I don't think so.

  • Deperately need help with my iPod and Pioneer Car Stereo

I just bought Pioneer's newest deck from Best Buy. The Model number of the deck is DEH-P6800MP. It has a mini jack (2.5 mm stereo jack) on the front of the deck that you can plug your iPod into. I purchased the little adaptor that allows me to just plug the iPod in using the Headphone Jack. It works great. I can use my click wheel to navigate the menus and the sound is awesome...except for one thing, it only plays through the right side speakers. I thought maybe the Fader needed to be adjusted on the deck but everything is dead center. I thought maybe something was wrong with the deck but the Tuner and CD player both work perfectly. I even tried using different cables with no success. When I called Best Buy they told me they were familiar with the problem and to download the newest software for my iPod and it should fix it. It didn't! I am so frustrated by this. I paid alot of money for this deck thinking I wouldn't have to buy any additional interfaces and would never have to deal with an FM transmitter again. Can anybody help?
Fifth Generation 60 Gig iPod   Windows XP

After plugging my walkman in and experiencing the same problem, I figured it must be the adaptor. I went to the local Radio Shack and picked up a mini-jack adaptor that was indeed Stereo. Thankfully it worked!!! I can't tell you how happy my family and I are to have all our music available in the family vehicle. Thanks for your help and @#$% Best Buy for selling me not one but two car stereos under the false pretense that I wouldn't need anything else to hook-up my iPod and then not having any idea how to help me when I needed it.
