Does anyone think that the iPod Apple Care is worth while? Thanks!

Thanks. You could say a little more about how you've found it worthwhile?

  • Ok so I so my IPod Touch has the same problem as the one before. The headphone jack. The i hear prefectly on the right but not the left. This my second time. What do I do to fix it? I do have the Apple Care!

I tried all my head phones and its the left side. This happened to me before, and I got a new one. I need help what I do? How do I fix this problem. If they do give me a new one do I have to buy the Apple Care again. Can they fix it. Wht am I doing wrong? Am i Putting the headphone in my ipod wrong. What is it? Ughh!!! This is annoying!!!!!

Well if the same problem happens to all your ipods, it makes me suspect that there is something wrong with your headphones, as it would be a strange coincidence that all the ipods have the same problem.
Unless the ipods have the same problem with different headphones!

  • My ipod 4 has apple care for 1 year i just got it can i get a new one because it broke and i pay for the apple care can i get a newe one

my ipod 4g has the apple care for 1 year can you get a new one for it because something happen to it the mirrer broke yes or no

AIf the iPod broke because of a defect then yes, Apple will replace the iPod if it is within the warranty period.  A broken/cracked screen is not covered.  However, sometimes if you make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store they will exchange your iPod at no cost if it has a broken/cracked screen.

  • What exactly does apple care plus cover for the 4th generation ipod touch?

My screen is very badly cracked and was told that my normal warranty is useless for it unless I have apple care plus

Note that there is no AppleCare+ for iPods.

IAppleCare+ is available for iPhones and iPads.

  • Confused. Is my iPod out of warranty or not? Just got Apple Care email.

I bought a 20gb iPod nearly 18 months ago. 6 months later the hard drive failed so i got it serviced. When it came back it was always freezing and i got so frustrated with it i left it on the shelf for a couple months.
When i eventually got around to seeing if i could get it repaired, the online repair site said the warranty expired. Fair enough i thought i should have got it fixed again right away.
Yesterday i check i my email and get this:
Your one-year warranty is about to expire.
This is your last opportunity to purchase the AppleCare Protection Plan for iPod.* For just £39 inc VAT, you get comprehensive service and support, and the chance to rock on for a long time to come
Im confused. Does this mean i got a new one year warranty when it was repaired?
Anyone else had their iPod repaired after more than a year of purchase but less than a year after a repair? I didnt get the full apple care but im tempted to pay the £39 then send it in for repair. Ill give apple a call on Monday but im just curious for now.

the normal warranty is one year from date of purchase, or 90 days from date of repair, whichever gives you the longest term
    the warranty details are here...
    http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/ipodisight.html
but if apple says you are still covered then go for it, especially as apple failed to fix it the first time

  • Does the Apple Care cover if your ipod is stolen?

Does Apple Care cover if your ipod is stolen?

    No.
It is a manufacturer's limited warranty, not insurance.

  • Apple Care Protection for previously purchased iPod...

Is it possible to buy an Apple Care plan for an iPod that has already been purchased and not purchased from an Apple Store?

It's over the 1 year warranty by about a month and a half. Would you recommend I try and have Apple service it or take it back to Best Buy?
(It has already been determined through a previous thread of mine that it NEEDS to be serviced or replaced so I know something must be done)
    THANKS!

  • Apple care  and new ipod

I had to get my ipod replace at the apple store, I had purchased apple care for the one they kept.

    nvm

  • Apple care and my ipod

Been having some problems with my ipod so I decided to renew my original warranty by buying the apple care package in order to eventually send in my ipod for repair. Anyways, I just got the apple care package in the mail and was about to enroll it on the website but after I enter my ipod serial number it says that my ipods warranty is gone and I cannot procede. any ideas?
    thanks

so best thing to do is to call them or could i return it to a store? cause i got mine online. Also is there any other type of warranty? cause I am going to need to send in my ipod where they might have to replace the whole thing which I'm guessing will cost me the price of a new ipod?

  • My ipod screen has a little scratch going across it...is this covered in the Apple Care Protection Plan?

My ipod screen has a little scratch going across it...is this covered in the Apple Care Protection Plan?

    No.

  • If i have apple care for my Ipod, will that cover it if its stolen or lost?

Does apple care cover, my ipod if its lost or stolen?

No unfortunetely not. That's insurance kind of coverage which Apple doesn't sell. Check with your credit card or homeowner's insurance and see if they will cover it. There are also independent companies that sell insurance on individual devices, a quick internet search will take you a long way!

  • Ipod cracked therefore i cant get it repaired from apple with my apple care warranty.

    What about a major scratch..
    What about it?
Warranties on most any product cover manufacturer defects, NOT damage that you do to the product.
If you scratch your tv does the warranty cover it?
    Your computer?
    Your car?
    Anything?

  • Broken ipod and apple care question

    Hi
I bought my 2nd gen nano 7 months ago and it is now broken. I've done everything I could beside opening it. I wanted to know if i bought apple care now and then send them my ipod right after if that would be problem?
btw the problem is that my songs gets played at 1/4 of the speed (makes the songs intrusting but...)
    thanx

I don't think the OP dropped his in the bathtub.
Hopefully you haven't tried to turn it on, connect it to the computer or anything like that.
If you are good with electronic devices you can take the iPod apart and set it in a cool, dry place and leave it there for several days. For pictures on how to take it apart go to http://www.ifixit.com.
If you aren't good at taking things apart, just set it aside or buy some silica gel packets (like the ones that come in boxes with things you buy, but you need new ones) and put them, and the iPod, in a sealed plastic bag and let it sit for a couple of days.
After it dries, connect it to power (a wall charger is preferable) for at least 30 minutes then Reset it (hold down the menu and center buttons for at least 6 seconds). If it starts up connect it to your computer, Restore it in iTunes, and then fully charge it.

  • How do I associate my Apple Care Protection Plan with my iPod Touch

I just bought a new iPod Touch and an Apple Care Protection Plan. The box indicates 'Auto Enroll' and there is no Applecare Agreement Number anywhere in the box (or on it as far as I can tell). I have tried every number I find on the box in that field when trying to register my AppleCare Agreement online and all of them are rejected. Can someone explain to me how 'Auto Enroll' is supposed to work and how I can register my AppleCare Protection Plan for my new iPod Touch? Thanks!

According to Apple Care, 'Auto Enroll' means that since I bought the iPod Touch and the Protection Plan at the same time at an Apple Store, that they are are already associated and that I didn't have to do anything to tie them together. Sure would have been nice if the Sales person mentioned that at the store so I didn't have to spend so much time trying to figure it out only to find out I didn't need to do anything.
