Ipod boom box's and 2.0 software systems ?

My ipod is running 1.0 software and i just purchased an ifun boom box for my ipod and it needs to be running 2.0 software .Can i upgrade a 2gb nano to 2.0 and where can i download it ?

I'm not quite sure how this question ended up in the radio/remote forum!!
Anyway, there is no version 2.0 software for the iPod nano.
If you have a first generation nano, then the software is currently at 1.3
If you have a second generation nano, then the software is currently at version 1.1
Are you sure that what you have bought is compatible with the iPod nano?

  • Any way to see if a stolen iPod touch was reset and reput in the system if you still have the serial number

If you still have the serial number of your iPod touch n it was stolen is ther any way to see if it was reactivated under someone else name

No Apple doesn't get involved in lost/stolen items.  If you had registerd in Find My...in iCloud it may show up if connected to the internet and not restored to factory settings.  Once restored it will not appear.

  • I put my iPhone into an otter box extender and onto my stereo system, when I plugged it the screen went black, it wont turn on and none of the buttons work.

As soon as i plugged it into my stereo system with the otter box extender attached, ive tried to reset my phone by holding the lock and home button at the same time but nothing happens. After its been plugged in it starts to get warm, but the computer doesnt recognize it and nothing seems to happen.

It could be the battery if it was left in a very hot car or something and now it has practically no capacity.
(Lithium Ion batteries should mever be allowed to get completely flat - they need to retain some energy in order to recharge)
But if you haven't done anything that you think would have damaged the phone, and it is still under warranty, contact Apple and they'll sort it.

  • New ipod touch and Harman Kardon boom box:

New ipod touch and Harman Kardon boom box:
I must say I am very disappointed that I cannot charge my ipod while playing music anymore.
I had no problem with all other ipod generations. Can this somehow be fixed?
While the Harmon Kardon boom box was posted on the apple web site as recommended. And Now???
Has anyone information regarding this issue??

I'm having a similar problem with my new touch 3rd gen, with a Sony clock/radio/docking model ICF-CL75iP.
No sound coming out of the speakers, and no picture or video showing on the radio's LCD screen.
Sony replied to me that it's intended to work with any ipod touch 1st and 2nd gen but not with 3rd generation. Whose fault it is? Wrong software from Sony or Apple?
I guess I'll try to downgrade the firmware from 3.1.2 to the previous one. If not then I'm stuck

  • I have an iPod Touch (4th generation) and I am not able to get the new Apple iOS 5 software update...

    Hello all,
I need some assistance with downloading the new iOS 5 software for my iPod touch 4th generation (32GB). Once connected, my iTunes says that a newer version is available and when I click on "update," the standard boxes appear and when i click on "download and update," it appears to download just as expected, but after a few minutes, an error box pops up and says that my "network connection timed out" and to "try again later"...
I have tried to get around this in every which way possible, but the same error box pops up each time. I have checked AND double checked my network and its connections and I am 100 percent sure they are stable. I have downloaded the latest version of iTunes (10.5). I even re-installed it, just in case. I have also tried clicking the "download only" option instead of "download and update"... No different.
In previous discussions, I have inferred that having my media on an external hard drive may cause some issues...? If this is the case, please note that all my media is on an external hard drive that connects to my computer via USB.
I am looking for any and all advice to help resolve this issue as the my warrenty has expired and I do not want to pay for Apple Support. : ) plus, iOS 5 looks so cool and I really really want it!!!!
    Please Help!!
    Sincerely,
    Deanna

I disabled all my computer's firewalls and sure enough, IT WORKED!! My iPod is updated and just now finishing restoring! Thank you SOOOO SOOO much. : D

  • I connected my iPod to my PC and got a message 'The software for communicating with the iPod is not installed correctly.

I connected my iPod to my PC and received a message box that read "The software for communicating with the iPod is not installed correctly.  Please reinstall the iPod's software."  Not sure what I need to do.  I did uninstall all of my iTunes and related software components and then reinstalled the latest version of iTunes but that did not correct the problem and I now can't access my iTunes library at all.

Another thing is that iPod Touch shows up fine...I've tried every other ipod from older 4gig Nanos to 120gb Classics and none of them work..this is really annoying!

  • Getting an iPod/iPhone "boom box" to respect volume adjustments

I have a 4 year old Logitech mm50 "boom box" into which I can plug my iPhone to play music without having to use headphones. I used it originally with my 5th Gen iPod Classic, but I had the same problem then as I do now. I can go into iTunes and choose "Get Info" for a track, then on the Options tab, I can change the volume adjustment. After that, when I sync the iPod/iPhone with iTunes, the track will play back with the volume adjustment I chose, *but only if I am playing through the headphone jack*. When I am using the Logitech, it gets the signal from the bottom connector, not the headphone jack, and it ignores the volume adjustment.
Is there any way to get the volume adjustment to be respected when not using the headphone jack?

None that I'm aware of, which is a good question for Logitech in regards to their product.

From within Photoshop Elements, when I try to open Editor, a box opens that states I must activate the software.  I registered and activated the software last year.  When I click to activate, I get a message that I am not connected to the internet.  I am connected.  How do I get Editor to work?

You would get the redemption code, or perhaps even the serial number, from whomever you purchased the software from, apparently Amazon, so talk to them.  This wouldn’t be the first time they’ve sold something that didn’t have all the numbers needed to license it.
A redemption code is something that is usually on the inner disc packaging if you purchase the media in a box, and there is a barcode on the outside of the packaging that must be scanned at the checkout register to activate the hidden inner code so you can redeem it at home on that website.  This is what happens if you buy PSE from a brick-and-mortar store like Best Buy.  I don’t’ know what happens if you purchase the downloaded version as I have never done that.
A redemption code is 24-digits of letters and numbers that you enter into a website to get a serial number, once and only once.  The serial number of only 24-digits, no letters, is what you enter into the software during the install or when you run it and it asks if you want to register or run in a trial mode—whatever the exact phrasing is.
In any case it sounds like you don’t have either a redemption code or serial number—although perhaps something is listed on the purchase confirmation or your account online at Amazon or even in an e-mail from Amazon.

Reload older versions from iTunes on a computer, or buy a newer device.

It can be updated to 3.1.3 by purchase. See here Purchasing iOS 3.1 Software Update for iPod touch (1st generation)

    Hi Robertfrom Denver.
Did you try the solution given, and if yes, did it work?
I have done several "attempted downloads, and see the full file download, typically taking 30 minutes to complete, and then something goes wrong.
I am happy to suspend AV and FW software, but would like to know if it is a good fix or not first?

  • I contacted apple on the 28th of october for a repair on my ipod as it is no longer working. On my repair status it says empty box shipped and it should arrive within 2 business days. It is now Friday and the box still hasnt arrived.

Should i contact apple about this? does the box need to be signed for? do i need to be here when it arrives? how big is the box? and does anybody know how long it will take for the ipod to be returned?

For my experience i shipped my ipod on a monday, they had it for tuesday and got it back on wendesday but this is because apple put my ipod on express shipping with ups but dont worry about it you should be getting it within this weekend and no you don't have to sign for it, the package is fairly small. If the delivery truck goes by your house and no one is home they will leave a notification on your door saying so and on the paper will be options to eighter make a delivery date where you will be available, or tell them to withhold a package for you at one of thier locations and pick it up. If you choose to pick it up you will require to bring a state id with you that has your current adress. Hope this helps somewhat.
