Ipod cant turn on

ok well im having a problem that most ppl have had except ive tried a ghle bunc of crap and nothing works... i plug it into my comp and it stays dead....i heald all buttens 1 at a time and all at once(yes my key lock was off) previously this day it wasnt dead and i had it on butten lock untill i tried to use it and nothing happened so i know my battery isnt dead cause i charged it full over night. so i leave this problem to you all help me if you can but thanks for listening if you cant.

I'm not sure from reading your comment if you've tried this. You should try to reset your Nano. Make sure the lock is off... Press and hold the "Menu"(top of click wheel) and "Select" (center round button) at the same time for 5-10 seconds. If the reset worked, you will see the Apple logo appear on your screen and your Nano will start shortly after that.

To start of my ipod touch 4g, cant turn on or reset. It started when i was using it and it crashed anf flashed a white screen. From then on it wouldnt turn on anymore. Before it got to this point it would flash a yellowe screen, diffrent colors etc. It doesnt show up on itunes and my computer doesnt recognizes it. Someobody please pleas help me 30g ipod wont turn on

ok, this is the deal first off im really ticked off
ive gone through 2 ipod 80 gigs and 1 ipod 30 gig,
when i got my 80 gig i charged it thorugh my comp and w.e about 50 min later it was charged , than i put some songs on it, than 5 minutes later i disconected the ipod from the usb and conected it agen to load new songs, as soon as i connected it the ipod turned off, it sorta faded away and was left with the menu options really faded, about 5 seconds later it was just off, and i cant turn it on, the restart ipod thing when u hold the 2 buttons doesnt work, ive been doing it alot and doesnt help, puitting it into an ac charger doesnt work, switching the usb doesnt work, remember its a fully charged battery? why charge it? The only thing i havent doen is let it sit for 24 hours
but what if it turns on in 24 hours, what then , im too scared to plug it in the computer cuz it went thoruh 3 ipods, i mean comon what is this , i ahgve the latest itunes, but why would i need to renistlal it, mabye the itunes is corrupted and when i plug it in it just turns it off, what the **** could this be im really irritated, what could be the problesm with my computer that could affect it? i really need your guys help im so ****** off , the past week without an ipod that i have money for and hasnt been working i gave back the 80 gig cuz it was too much, so i got a 30 gig and the same thing keeps happening. what the **** is this, ive been looking throuh the forums and te ones with "turnes off ipod cant turn on" had been resolved with plugging it in in 30 min, but not me... what should i do?

yes i did, i think i said i did those steps in my post. I dont mean to be insulting to people who had the hold problem , but i honestly think you must be a moron if u complain about it not working just because its on hold and you dont realize

Videos freeze up, i cant turn my ipod off

i have a few movies on my ipod, real ones that are like 2 hours long. some times they play just fine but other times the freeze about every 30 seconds for about 2 seconds and when i starts playing again there is no sound. i found that if i rewind the movie back to a place where it was before it froze then it will work again but 30 seconds later it will freeze. does any one else have this problem? its very annyoing and i would love a solution.
i have a second problem. when i stop a movie and i want to turn my ipod off for a little i am not ably to turn it off. i tryed pressing and holding the play button and also clicking alot on the sleep button on the main menu but it just wont respond. i can do other things, just not turn it off. i can finaly turn it off after about 5 minutes of trying. i noticed that there is a hummung noise when i put the ipod to my ear during the time i cant turn it off, and when the noise stops i can.

have you updated with ipod updater 3-23-06?
I've heard that the problem where video play stops and then audio quits was resolved at least for some people with this update.
when the ipod makes independent noise that is usually the harddrive working. sometimes after a while of video playback the ipod gets warm and it won't respond to sleep commands until it cools off and the harddrive stops running. then you can turn it off.
when that happens have you tried resetting? (holding down menu and select buttons until apple screen comes on). I think that might help it respond faster.

I just bought an iPod this morning. I plugged it in to the computer, let it charger for about 4 hours and loaded my play list on to it. I then disconnected it from my computer and I cant turn the darn thing on now.

Try to Reset your device.
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off option that shows up first).

Did you try to reset by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?

Ipod Itouch turns on but cant hear music from it??

Hey guys any help would be appreciated! Today, I was running on treadmill and it was working fine and then all of a sudden couldnt hear anything! I thought maybe headphones were busted, but I tried 2 different ones and it is ipod, it turns on and goes to song, but seems to have no music come out of it. I tried resetting it and turning it off and on with no luck; anybody know the solution? It may have got a little sweat on it, but I have ran with it for a year and never had this problem!

you didnt upgrade anything before?
You could try downgrading... dl the FW somewhere (eg at www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ )
Shutdown IPod, Start iPod in DFU Mode (Press LOCK+HOME, when Apple Logo appears release LOCK button; when prompt of connecting to iTunes, do so and THEN release HOME)
Itunes will ask to restore, cancel, press SHIFT key, then the "restore"button in sync dialog and select the IPSW you dl'ed before.
NO RESPONSIBILITY if your HW gets damaged. I have to write this...

Send it back to the repairer, most likely the connections are not properly re-install, we cant solve hardware problems here.
