  • Help!!!!! my ipod classic 80gb is not showing neither in itunes nor my computer

Before i used my ipod with disk utility to launch snow leopard, but now i dont have the mac and i need to use it with windows helppppp.
what do i do with the ipod to show?

Try putting your iPod into Disk Mode before you connect it to the computer. This should allow your computer to at least recognize it. Just restart yoiur iPod by holding down the Menu and Select buttons, then when the screen goes out hold down Play and select. Once it says "OK To Disconnect" hook it up and see if that works.

  • Hey Apples Users, my iPod 80 GB ins not showing in windows, itunes and my computer

    hey Apples Users,
my iPod 80 GB ins not showing in windows, itunes and my computer
Could anyone in there show me the best solution for the same
    thanks in advance

First of all does, the iPod power on okay?
Have you tried plugging the iPod into a different USB ports, preferably a high powered USB 2.0 port on the back of your PC tower (these are directly soldered onto the motherboard and receive much high outputs of power than the ones on the front).
What about a different USB sync cable?
What shows up on the iPod's screen when you connect it?  Does it charge at all?  Maybe try resetting it with it still connected to your PC.  To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

  • Ipod shuffle 2nd generation not showing up in itunes

ipod shuffle 2nd generation not showing up in itunes and when in its dock blinking orange.

I believe blinking orange means the iPod shuffle is in use by the computer (in some way).  That's actually good, because it means it is at least recognized as being connected to USB.
If you have not already, be sure to try shutting down the computer completely (power off), with the iPod NOT connected.  Also, follow this procedure to reset the iPod shuffle.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1655
Turn on your computer.  Run iTunes.  Connect the iPod shuffle.

  • My ipod classic 80gb is not showing my music lists on my laptop

My ipod classic 80gb is not displaying my music lists on my laptop after logging in to itunes !!!!

Your "music list" in iTunes is in your iTunes library, not your iPod, so I don't understand what you are describing.
In iTunes, select Music under LIBRARY in the iTunes sidebar.
NOTE:  If the iTunes sidebar (along left side of window) is not visible, from the iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
That is your list of songs in iTunes, and it is there whether your iPod is connected or not.
When you connect the iPod, it should appear under DEVICES in the sidebar.  Click the small triangle to the left of the iPod name, to drop down the iPod's content list (indented below the iPod).  Click on Music there.  To the right, the list of songs on the iPod is shown.  That list is separate from your iTunes library music list.
Can you describe the problem in your problem in more detail?

    Hello there, bayoudure.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps for trouleshooting issues with your iPod not being recognized by your Mac:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for OS X - Apple Support
Follow these steps to resolve your issue:
If you haven't connected your iOS device to this computer before, unlock the device and tap Trust. Learn more about the Trust This Computer alert.
    Restart your iOS device.
    Restart your Mac.
Make sure that your Mac meets the minimum system requirements for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Install software updates on your Mac.
If an iTunes update is available, apply the update.
Check USB connections. iOS devices need USB 2.0 to work properly. If you're not sure your Mac has USB 2.0 ports, check the computer's specifications.
Disconnect other USB devices and connect your device directly to a USB port on your Mac.
    Try another USB cable.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • Ipod Classic connected but not showing in Itunes under Devices

I know this is similar to a few of the other issues that are described, if anyone can offer a link to another thread where the resolution is posted, that would be great, thanks!
I plug my ipod into my computer, I get a windows message saying some files may be damaged, Itunes actually automatically loads up but my Ipod is not shown in the Devices list in Itunes
I have been wracking my brain over this!
I have uninstalled/reinstalled Itunes 3 times, have reset my ipod manually (& now have no music on it at all!) have put the Ipod into disk mode, have taken it out of disk mode. On my laptop I've gone into Services - stopped/then started the Apple Device. I've removed the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver & reinstalled all to no avail! It still wont show up in Itunes!
    Just to clarify;
    - My laptop CAN see my ipod in its list of devices under My computer
    - When I connect the Ipod, I get a window message from Windows saying some files may be damaged & it suggests running a scan.
    - Itunes will start up when i plug in my IPOD, however
    - My IPOD will not show up in the list of devices in Itunes
Another thing, I have 120GB ipod when I did a restore it deleted all the music but it is telling me that i only have 111GB memory available?!?!
After reading through the forums I did see someone state somewhere that you can restore your Ipod from Windows but I can't find the link that gives a list of instructions on how to do this.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    thanks

    Hello there,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
Regarding the error message about needing to scan and fix your iPod, see this article and follow the provided instructions to prevent the error message from reappearing. It may also resolve your "iPod missing in iTunes" issue as well.
    http://www.futureofrealestatetechnology.com/general-real-estate-technology/resol ve-vista-scan-and-fix-error-when-plugging-in-ipod-or-other-devices/
Yes you can use the tools provided by Windows to reformat your iPod. Just make sure to format it as FAT32 and that the "Quick Format" option is not selected. For complete instructions, see this article.

    Any luck there?

  • HT1386 I have one album on my IPod Touch that does not show up on ITunes.

I am trying to download my music to the libraries on my computer. I noticed that one of my albums is not showing on ITunes but is showing up on my IPod.

No problem. Glad to have helped.
Not sure as to why it happened. I just know this has been happening to a few users lately. It may be with how you have your iPod touch configured to sync Podcasts. So you may want to double check these settings as well as mess around with them a bit to figure out if that is the cause. Otherwise, I'm not entirely sure on this one. Sorry I cannot be of much help here.

  • ITunes no longer shows my iPod classic.  do I show it in iTunes and manage it?

I have just upgraded to Yosemite and the latest iTunes. But my iPod Classic is no longer visible in iTunes

Thank you. When I asked the question the icon was not there. I tried again a few hours later, before seeing your response, and it was. I have no time to  experiment this morning. So maybe it was just a glitch of some sort first time. I am reassured that the new OS and iTunes is still compatible with iPod classic and should recognise it, but worried that sometimes it won't.

  • My iPod 5th gen is not showing up in iTunes

My iPod touch 5th generation is not showing up in my iTunes and I do not know what to do.

    See:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    I would start with
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
Run this to help if it identifies the cause
iTunes for Windows: Device Sync Tests
Have you tried on another computer to help determine if you have a computer or iPod problem?

  • I have upgraded to the latest version of itunes.  Now when I connect my ipod classic it does not show me my music

    Can someone help me?

Try this, when you open iTunes is there a 'iPod' button on the top right side of the page.If there is then it shows it's recognising your iPod. Click on the 'View' button and then click on 'show sidebar'. Your iPod should be there under Devices.
