Ipod classic 30 gb not working !!

Hii there,
I m Sumeet from India. its been a day that my ipod has gone to sleep mode n since then it is not waking up. I tried pressing the middle button several times , still it does not work. I hav aslo tried pressing menu button n the middle button together but it nothing at all...I t was working all fine but all of a sudden it has stoped working. Please help me ASAP.....I love my ipod a lot, more than anything trust me

Do a Hard Reset
After charging till full charge, at least 2 hours (preferably 4 hours)
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs or till the Apple Logo comes ON
Then release the buttons
Select your preferred language.

If the sound is still the same, but ok, coming from the bottom Dock connector, then try cleaning the headport, using a jet of air or some electronic cleaner.

Have you checked the 'Hold' button at the top left of your Classic to make sure it didn't get bumped into the ON position?
If it's been moved to the right and you can see the red indicator, then 'Hold' has been switched on and none of the buttons on the iPod will work.
What happens if you plug your iPod into a charger or connect it to iTunes?

30GB iPod Classic Buttons do not work

Hi guys,
My iPod classic buttons suddenly stopped working today (apart from when I do the reset with Menu + select which is odd).
I have tried to restore, format, reinstall itunes, reset multiple times but none of this works.
The iPod is now just stuck on the select language screen that you get to after restoration.
What do I do?

I saw that... And I said that if the Hold swtich is not ON, and you have already done a Restore, it is likely to be a hardware-related problem on the iPod. It sounds like the iPod is seeing that the Hold switch is ON, even when it is in the OFF position.

IPod Classic Scroll Wheel not working

My scroll wheel sometimes does not work, and sometimes is very jumpy (therefore hard to choose the track I want). Can the wheel be cleaned? Or is there any troubleshooting that can be done?

I bought a new iPod classic today, got it home loaded my music and then sat down to check out the new features. Right off the bat, :"what the **** is wrong with the scroll wheel". after trying to convince myself nothing was wrong i did a search and found out a lot of people are having the same problem. It takes at least a second for it to start responding, its jumpy, sluggish, difficult, all things i've never experienced from an ipod before. This would be my 3rd ipod, 2 died, i've probably used 15-20 others through friends and work, and I'm returning my ipod classic tomorrow, its a bummer, sounds like the 5th gen ones are better.

Ipod classic right earbud not working

is there any way to fix this. i have regular apple earbuds and koss earbuds. my left earbud works but the right doesn't. when i insert the earbud half way the right earbud works but with distorted sound.

something similar just happened to me. one of my earbuds stopped playing. i think it's cause it got bent (?) in my pocket because i keep the cord wrapped around the case. but i thought that was a good thing? i think it crossed wires, but CLASSIC apple, makes em to small to try to fix em yourself.....although i prefer them being small....

Ipod classic 5th gen not working

I get a big red "X" with it pointing to Apple's support web page for the ipod, as well as the appearance of the Apple logo. I tried going to the web page and troubleshooting, but to no avail. Help!

First, do a regular Reset, which restarts the iPod.

If you get back to the same error screen, unfortunately, a common cause is a faulty hard drive. You can try putting it into Disk Mode

If it goes into Disk Mode, connect it to the computer and run iTunes. iTunes may say something about "recovery" and prompt you to do a Restore. If the cause was data corruption (not a physical hardware problem on the iPod), doing a Restore will erase the iPod, reinstall its software, and set it to default settings.

It should sync the same if the songs are the same. You can try:
- Unsyncing all music and resysncing
- Restoring the iPod

Did you try a hard reset with the iPod still connected to your PC? Have you tried multiple USB ports, preferably high powered USB 2.0 ports?
To do a hard reset, first make sure the hold switch is in the Off position, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Have you also worked through each and every single troubleshooting suggestion in this Apple support document?

The Wi-Fi on My iPod Touch 4G is Not Working (See Description)

The Wi-Fi on my iPod Touch 4G is not working. People were working on my wi-fi, and, since it showed three bars still, I thought it was working. So when I found out it wasn't working, I tried to fix it by myself by forgetting the wi-fi network. Now, when I try to log in, it says that my password is incorrect (even though I know it is right). I think it is not working because I forgot the wi-fi network while they were working on it. I don't know what to do and I would like Wi-Fi to work on my iPod again (and it is working on my computers and my iPad). Can anyone help me? Thanks:)

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Your "music list" in iTunes is in your iTunes library, not your iPod, so I don't understand what you are describing.
In iTunes, select Music under LIBRARY in the iTunes sidebar.
NOTE: If the iTunes sidebar (along left side of window) is not visible, from the iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
That is your list of songs in iTunes, and it is there whether your iPod is connected or not.
When you connect the iPod, it should appear under DEVICES in the sidebar. Click the small triangle to the left of the iPod name, to drop down the iPod's content list (indented below the iPod). Click on Music there. To the right, the list of songs on the iPod is shown. That list is separate from your iTunes library music list.

You do have it turned on ins settings>Privacy, right?
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's database. You do not have to be connected to the network/router to use that router's location. Thus, it appears that the iPod can't see a nearby router that is in Apple's database. Apple continuously updated their database based on info they obtain from iPhones. No one has been able to find a way to inform Apple of a router or correct is location.
You can confirm that by going to place with a know located router like Starbucks or McDonalds

I have a Nokia 6120 Classic and is not working fine. I have decided to change my mobile.
Before change my mobile I want to backup all my data and telephone numbers. The problem is that Accept button is not working correct. When I start my mobile I can enter pin number but after this I can't enter the date because I have to use Accept button (the one in the top left). Is there any possibility to skip entering date? This is the only wey to enter mobile and backup my data

I was going to take it to Nokia care but duh? Should the button stop working suddenly? Without anything wrong also the same with the camera button also I'm not the first one to have this problem right? You probably have you Itunes music set as list and not as albums. Go to view at the top of Itunes and check as albums.
