Ipod classic games paid for no longer in past downloads

I had to reboot my computer and in doing so I had to reinstall itunes. After loading everything in and transfer to my ipod 160gb I kept getting an error message saying the games I have aren't authorized for this computer so it won't put it on my ipod. Then I went to the itunes store to retrieve my past downloads from there but they are not there. And after much hunting apple doesn't even sell those games anymore?!?!? So I lost 5 games that I paid for, I have backed up on my harddrive, and I can't use them. I am not very happy with apple right now and I'd love some assistance if anyone has any ideas.

Look through the compatible list chart and see which 80GB model are you using, either ID 9 or 10. you can order through Apple Online Store.

I am having trouble finding ipod classic games in the new version of itunes 9. I have been purchasing applications for the iphone and itouch. I would like to find ipod classic games please help!!!

The links to iPod ClickWheel Games are currently missing from the UK store. I've dropped a line to iTunes Feedback but more probably wouldn't hurt. If you stick your applications folder in List view, select an existing game and then click on the store link (blue arrow) it should open the correct page for that game in the store. I can't work out the address to provide a generic link to the main ClickWheel page but this link below should take you to the page for Monopoly and you ought to be able to find other games from there.

Where have you been these last few years? All iPod clickwheel games were removed from the iTunes Store as of October 2011. Any you still have in your library can be used with a compatible device, but they can no longer be purchased or redownloaded from the store so keep a good backup.

As far as I can recall, the only free game that Apple provides (well, who else can?!) is Vortex. It already comes with the iPod classic, as you may know.
I don't know of anyone apart from those contracted by Apple who has been able to make games for the iPod classic.
And I haven't seen a new title come out for the iPod classic ever since the iPhone 3G was able to obtain apps from the Store!

That is about normal. You can maximize battery life by changing some settings. See:

Older 5th Gen IPOD Classic Games not syncing - HELP

I previously had a IPod Classic 30GB and purchased 2 games (Ms PacMan & Mahjong) these worked well on that IPod. I now have a new IPOD Classic 120GB and I have purchased 2 more games (UNO and Scrabble).
All games display in Itunes game although they are displayed on two different lines, but only the two new games (UNO and Scrabble) appear in the Games Sync area.
How do I get the original two games (Ms PacMan & Mahjong) to sync to these new IPod Classic?

Are those older games still available in the iTunes Store +iPod Click-Wheel Games+ section? If they are currently being sold, that current version is certain to be compatible with all game-playing click-wheel iPods.

HT1339 My sons ipod classic has the music no longer has a menu!

My son's ipod classic is completely blank and yet when I put it on to charge up it plays the music but you cannot select etc because there is no menu. Are you saying that the iPod only shows a white screen? If so, that's usually a good indication that the LCD display may be damaged. However, it could be a glitch of some sort. Have you tried a hard reset yet? To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If still no luck, we'll try to restore it. Have you seen this article yet related to the 1418 error?

Sometimes a low level reformat of the iPod's hard disk resolves the issue. See this article for instructions on how to do this.

Buying an iPod Classic game from Argentina is impossible??

Hi.
I live in Argentina and recently I was given an iPod Classic 80G as a present. I was trying to buy a game for the iPod but I'm finding it impossible, since iTunes Store is not in Argentina. Is there any way I can get to buy a game for my iPod? If not, this is completely contradicting the supposed intention to avoid piracy. I mean, I'm not even trying to buy music... just a $5 game... is it impossible? Wouldn't it be very easy to set up an international purchase system which offers the possibility to use any international credit card just like I would in Amazon.com or any other store? Please help.

You know, it's strange, because nowadays more and more software providers are offering "direct download" purchases, for example of games. Large game developers do this for their games, for example last year I bought the game "Battlefield 2142" directly from Electronic Arts and I downloaded it over a couple of hours. And we're talking about "cross border transfers".
Really, I know what you mean... but for $5 games like Bomberman?!?! Another example of the complications of this system is something I read in a local Apple-related forum. Some people are worrying because supposedly a new update for the iPhone or iPod Touch will come with a cost, and since it will be delivered via iTunes Store apparently, there will be no legal way of obtaining the update here (no iTunes Store).
In any case, as I said before, I think that there should be a generic international iTunes Store for this kind of cases (updates, games, etc).
