Ipod Classic not playing sunched content

Please can someone assist me.
I am having enless problems synching content to my iPod Classic. I had the same problem on a previous iPod and bought a new one thinking the device was broken. Now the same thing is happening on this device.
The music jumps from one song to another; shows a song is playing but nothing; plays a few seconds of a song then jumps to another; plays some song perfectly.
Audiobooks are a disaster. It shows the book is playing (however the counter is not moving and no sound), then a few seconds later it will jump back to the chaper listing.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Rebooted. Deleted all music and audiobooks from iTunes (emptied it out completely). Restored the iPod back to factory settings. Tried just adding a single album (same). Tried adding only 1 audiobook (same).
Any assistance would be most appreciated. Thanks

Grabbed my 160 GB iPod Classic yesterday and the entire thing was empty. No clue what happened. The only thing I did was update the OS and download a new album from iTunes.
Resynched the device twice now and now the iPod is not playing some songs. Some play, some tracks skip on to the next one without playing.
Not finding a clear solution in my searches, though others seem to have had the issue.
All my songs play fine in iTunes.
Would love a solution, cuz I like my iPod!

The songs on my Ipod Classic wont play at all although you can feel and hear the machinery working hard. The tracks are not playng at all but you can see the Ipod rewinding them all and returning to the album. And this happens to the second IPOD I have!

First off, I would STRONGLY suggest that a external hard drive would make you life much easier by at least being able to back up your songs on the external drive for when you need them. Even if you don't want them in the iTunes library, you can have them all ready on the external to be re-added as needed. You can get 100's of gigs for under $100 shipped.
Anyway, since you used Yamipod, are all the songs back on the computer? If so, I would go ahead and restore the iPod, let iTunes then resync everything back to the iPod, then switch it back to manual and see if the restore and resync clears up the issue.

If these are movies and music videos from the iTunes Store, I don't think they play on the 5th gen iPod (the first "video iPod"). The 5th gen iPod was released before the iTunes Store started selling video content. Unlike songs from the iTunes Store, the commercial video content (Movies, TV Shows, Music Videos) have DRM (copy protection). My understanding is that the 5th gen iPod does not have a "chip" needed to play the protected content.
Also, the 5th gen iPod can generally play video content with resolution up to 320x240. Later iPods (that play video) can go up to 640x480. So, that may be why it plays the audio but not the video on the ones you tried. It's the first iPod to play videos; it's more limited in what it can do.

I'd like to know what font (and font size) the iPod classic "Notes" module uses.

Have you went to the manufacturer's support site?
Does the manufacturer say the dock works with your model iPod Touch and iOS? Many do not.

iPod does not play content purchased from the iTMS.
If you have made sure that both the iTunes and iPod software are current and have deauthorized and reauthorized your computer, try this test:
1. Deauthorize the computer.
2. Create a new user in the system.
3. Download the free song of the week from the iTMS in the new user account.
4. Play the song in that user account to authorize again.
5. Restore the iPod (using the iPod updater) in the new user account.
6. Sync just the free song of the week and see if it plays on the iPod.
If it does, you appear to have a corrupted iTunes library file, and you should recreate the iTunes library file in your normal user account, and then sync your music back to the iPod and all should be well.

Hey guys i have a 60 gb video ipod and i have the newest itunes and ipod software. My ipod will not play songs that i have bought on itunes. It will only play my videos. I have restore my ipod at least 4 times that doesnt seem to work. I don't know what else to do. Please Help!!!

You may have tapped the Shuffle button (looks like two arrows crossing path) in Blue. Tap it once again to turn it off.

The cord might be the case, but first, try these suggestions:
Try putting your iPod into disk mode, then try connecting it to your computer again...

Do you have a wall charger? If so, then try connecting your iPod to that, and does it charge, or not?

Try restoring from backup. Next would be a restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

sorry im just angry that my ipod is being dumb.
