IPod classic will not reset nor will it restore

My 2nd iPod classic (30GB) will not reset after numerous attempts.
Also when I try to restore it to original settings, given a message that "The iPod cannot be restored because it contains files that are in use by another application".
I have Windows 7 Enterprise Edition and this has never happened before. The only thing out of the ordinary was that this iPod was not used for about 4-5 months which drained the battery as it wasn't recharged.
Any assistance is appreciated.

Had this one myself ... while playing music there's a little loop icon on the left right below where it shows the current position in the song. Touch it once to turn repeat off.

IDisk will not Sync, nor will iWeb Publish

Started having this problem "iDisk Sync Failed" a few days ago.
Have not heard back from Apple Customer support and it has been over 24 hours since I reported the problem.
I have no space issues in iDisk and my internet connection works fine.
Need to publish in iWeb but it will not work with out iDisk and cannot use the old homepage method since it requires putting photos into iDisk to access in .mac.
$179 a year for .mac which right without being able to publish to iWeb or Homepage or Sync data for backup is really frustrating.
Will Someone at APPLE Please respond?

It sounds as if you've been able to sync in the past, right? What I'm going to suggest to you may take a while. I'm going to suggest that you turn off iDisk syncing, then delete the iDisk.dmg file that appears on your desktop, then turn on iDisk syncing again and do a fresh manual sync. This will take a while to copy down your entire iDisk. But hopefully this re-establishes your sync connection with .Mac.
Obviously if there is anything on your local iDisk that has not been synced to your network iDisk, you might want to back that up locally. Also, anything that you might need immediately off your iDisk should be backed up first as well in case you can't get to your iDisk later.
When you are ready, see if this helps with the syncing process for you. Good luck!

My favorites sidebar will not scroll, nor will folders open or close

My bookmarks sidebar (on the left side of the screen) will not respond to scrolling or selecting. It stopped working when I installed Firefox 7. Went back to Firefox 6 and it still will not scroll. Nothing happens when I click the arrows or move the slider.

My iPod touch 3g will not charge nor will it connect to the computer.

It won't charge at all. I have no idea how it's still on but for now it is even though it's been saying the battery is less the 20%. It's not the usb adapter/cable, I've tried many. My laptop nor desktop will even acknowledge it at all. I've done resets numerous times and still nothing. I don't know if this means the battery needs to be replaced or not because like I said the iPod is still on after days of not being able to charge.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I forgot to mention the iPod will play on my dock but not charge. I took it in today and it's no longer under warranty so they only offered to take it and give me 10% off a new one.

Airport Express that will not reset, nor can it be controlled by s/w

I have tried to switch an older (white) airport with a new Airport Express. At first it did work, then nothing. Software either the appls/util/airport set-up or configure utilities can't connect or find the Airport Express. It will show up as a gray set of bars but doesn't name my network. The only way to configure this requires going to the utilities which of course cannot find the signal. I'm going crazy I want to network iTunes and my printers with my airport equiped imac, iBook, PowerBook G4, and the new MacBook Pro. I'm spending hours going over this, nothing changes but my level of frustration.
My high speed line is perfect and the old Airport works wonderfully, but won't do the other tasks nor is it portable for use on the road.
Is this a dead Airport Express or can I somehow make it work well. The light will be a steady yellow and show up 4 gray bars on my menu bar. Sometimes it blinks yellow. I haven't seen green since the first and only successful use, for one Internet session. The reset button does nothing.
I have paid Apple a fortune over the years, 27 computers, all the Apple software for all my machines and vidoe use. This is the first total failure. I'm very upset. Help Please

Motion 5.1 will not open nor will the templates created for FCPX

Every time I try to open Motion I get the beachball, I was able to right click through before on the dock instead because the splash window crashes it. Now it won't open at all. Also, none of the graphics created in motion can be edited in FCPX. Could someone let me know what I can do to fix this?

Sorry, your question is a little bit confusing. Let's start here, did this work for you previously with Motion 5.0.7(if you had that installed)? Does Motion just beach ball until you force quit, or does it crash on it's own at some point? It sounds like you are saying that Motion may be crashing when the splash screen appears, but I'm not clear?
Second, when you say none of the graphics created (previously?) in FCP can be edited, what types of graphics are you talking about? (Titles, Effects, Generators, etc.) Are you talking about custom graphics or some of the ones included with FCPX? BTW, is your version of FCP the most recent?

Airport shows I am connected to a secure network, but Safari will not connect nor will any other internet software.

I cannot connect via Safari to a live Internet connection. System preferences show Airport is on and connected to a secure network. I am able to connect using my iPad and other devices.

Thanks. Turns out that I had to re list the router and update its password along with resetting the DHCP. Once that was accomplished all seemed to work fine again. Just can't figure out why the connection was disrupted.

Google chat will not load nor will the graphics on all the web pages but it works ok in other browsers, what can I do to fix this?

utube vids play but the (pics) graphics do not load on any web page I go to and my google chat says it can't connect to internet but my internet works fine and google chrome works fine too. and google mail graphic buttons for email are not appearing also.

If images are missing then check that you do not block images from some domains.
*Press the F10 key or tap the Alt key to bring up the hidden Menu bar.
Check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
Check "Tools > Page Info > Media" for blocked images
*Select the first image link and use the cursor Down key to scroll through the list.
*If an image in the list is grayed and "Block Images from..." has a checkmark then remove this checkmark to unblock images from this domain.
Make sure that you do not block (third-party) images, the permissions.default.image pref on the about:config page should be 1.
Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
Note that these settings affect background images.

The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.

Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
For 10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

Does anyone know what I should do to get this corrected? I want my iPod back.

yeah that's the one...... takes you back to factory settings
That's actually a restore, which done via iTunes. A reset is equivalent to rebooting your PC.
What is the full error message you are recieving and is it from your iPod or from iTunes?

Need more info, did you reset it as
After charging till full charge, at least 2 hours (preferably 4 hours)
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs or till the Apple Logo comes ON
Then release the buttons
Select your preferred language.

If it doesn't work, then leave the battery discharge till fully flat, by polaying some videos, if you can.

Ipod Touch 4th generation 32G not turning on, not charging.
I have used multiple cords on both computer USB and wall USB converters. I let it sit there for over 20 min with each attempt.
It is not being detected by Itunes or my Windows 7 64bit OS. I have tried all 4 of my USB ports (both USB 2.0 and 3.0), with 3 different chargers.
Holding home and power button will not reset.
Tried taking it out of "DFU" mode but Itunes won't detect it, I didn't think that would work anyway.
NO DAMAGE, I have been very careful with it, aside from a few minor scratches. (that you can't even see unless the light reflects them)
My Itunes is up to date, as is my OS.
All I'm getting is a blank black screen. It has been working fine on this computer before. I have no idea what could have happened. I'm at my wits end here.

See if you missed anything here:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
