IPod constantly locks up
My iPod Nano constantly locks up when I push the play button to play something. I have to reset the iPod. I've reinstalled the software several times. Is it time for Applecare?
You should try restoring the iPod.
See: How to restore the iPod to factory settings.
If it's still happening after that, especially "50%" of the time, it's indicative of a wider issue.

My 1-year ipod nano locked up and would not start overnight. The on/off button will not work and stopped holding charge. No water damage, no fall, nothing unusual. I restored it (twice) but it will still not hold charge and on/off does not work. I tried to restore it again and charged it in three different locations with different cables. etc but nothing. Suggestions?
- After charging for 1/2 hour or so, does iTunes see the iPod? If yes, restore the iPod from backup.
- If no, se if placing the iPod in recovery mode will make it visible so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

My ipod is locked. I have forgotten my password. How can I unlock it?
I have forgotten my password. Have tried combinations and now my ipod is locked.
How can I unlock my Ipod? You do not have to restore as new. You can restore fom backup since the screen-lock passcode isnot in the backup. ALso, if iTunes asks for the passcode andyu can't enter the passcode place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovery mode:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore

Hi. I have an ipod touch 4th generation, it's in perfectly good condition no cracks or anything. The issue is my ipod is locked and i'm not able to type in my passcode because the numeric keypad isn't working properly. For ex. when i hit 8 (which is the second number in my passcode) the number 5 type in. Also my home button isn't working. Hope that was specfic enough.. thanks!!

All Pixi apps take 4-5 seconds to open. Even the phone....
