IPod crashed restored it can't get it back to iOS 5

My 32gb iPod touch 4th gen crashed last night 5th jan 2012 I restored it to factory settings as I could not restore to a back up as this was greyed out After it restored I put all my apps games and music etc back on to My iPod but when I try to download one from the app store I had it's Say ios5 is needed to download. I checked the about on the iPod and it's showing firmware 4.3.5 I have tried the update in iTunes and its saying iPod is up to date which it's not How do I get iOS 5 back?

No, iOS 5.0.1 is currently the latest firmware. It could be possible that there is a fault withing the iPod's hardware, in which case you will need to send it to Apple to get it fixed.

Since they are the makers of the iPod and iTunes, they will probably know the most about what to do.

Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. I had The Hunger Games, Breaking Dawn Part 2, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower on my iPod. They were a free digital copy download from when I bought the movies. I backed up my iPod after putting them on, but today I plugged my iPod into my computer and deleted my purchases (I got those back) but it deleted Breaking Dawn Part 2, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower and I cannot get them back! Could I have some help?

Synced media like apps, music and videos are not included in the backup that iTunes makes.

Find my iPhone is relatively useless when it comes to recovering a stolen device. Anyone with a bit of know how can defeat it in a matter of minutes. It's really meant to help a person find a misplaced device.
Presume that any and all data and info on that device is compromised, do as Illass says, change any and all passwords to every account or site you accessed on the device and write it off as gone.

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

ITunes deleted all my music on my ipod... Can I get it back?

Damned Apple software. My computer's disk crashed irretrievably. So, I have a new disk in my iMac (thanks applecare).
I hooked my iPod up in order to try to transfer my music from my iPod onto the new disk.
Up comes a pathetic message that I thought implied that my iPod would be used to fill in my iTunes. I clicked "ok" and iTunes cleared my iPod. (Where was the usual "you are about to delete all information on this iPod" message? Apple will hear from me on that one.)
Does anyone know how to get my iPod disk directory rebuilt so I have my 20 GB of music back?

InDesign CC 2014 crashes on startup, can I get CC back?

I discovered on the last update of my CC that I also acquired the 2014 versions. I didn't realise that I was now running 2 versions of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. My mac is old, (that last of the 17" ones), but up until this update and additional installation of CC 2014, it was running fine. Now I cannot open an INDD file without the 'rainbow wheel of death' eventually occurring in a forced shutdown. I didn't realise I still also had my old CS5.5 Design Premium, so I proceeded to uninstall them, then the InDesign CC version as well, so I only had the most recent InDesign CC 2014 on my mac. I don't think this is a space issue, as there was at least 23GB still available with all 3 versions on my mac.
So now I have the following: Illustrator CC, Photoshop CC, and InDesign CC 2014. Now every time my InDesign CC 2014 loads up (takes forever) it freezes the mac, forcing a manual shutdown. I tried to download InDesign CC back last night but there's no link available in my CC menu.
I am running Mac OS Lion 10.7.5 - I can't upgrade my OS any further than that on the 17" model.

Memory 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Realising I have a 'vintage' model, I currently have a new one on order but until it comes I need to keep using my 17" in order to meet deadlines. Would really appreciate someone's help here.

I copied my Movies folder using Finder to an external HD before my MBP crashed and now can't get them back into iMovie library!!

I realize NOW that I should have moved the events and projects to external HD within iMovie but unfortunately I didn't. I also upgraded to Mavericks with the new internal HD. Problems...
1) If I try and open a movie in iMovie from the Movies folder, none of the movies are highlighted so I cannot open them.
2) When I open a movie using Finder in the Movies folder, it goes through this conversion process with QuickTime player which takes several minutes (we have over 700 videos).
Anybody have any suggestions to fix this problem? I still have the Movies folder in both the external HD and on my internal HD.

You should be able to recover the media with the tips in this post from forum regular Zevoneer but I'm not sure what the implications are for your application settings. You can probably transfer your purchases into a newly authorised library, backup the device, recover any other media using third party tools, then restore the device from the backup. That should switch the assocation of the device to the new library but it is not something I've personally tested.
When you get it all working, make a backup!

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If you have failed to bakup, then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases

If you are talking about Reader (you did post in the Reader forum), then just download http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise. However Reader is free not purchasable. You can download a trial then install using your serial number, which if you didn’t register or write down somewhere you will be out of luck to track down.
